As this thread may erupt into a bit of controversy, I would recommend you reading it before you respond. As this is a thread of certain querry to certain answers, I bare no insult to the prince or any master/sires of this site. This in mind, I continue.

I present to you a question, voluntary would be the
answers acertained with the right knowledge would be suggested.

The question presented would be of why one would wish to become like that of a "trueblood"...A Vampire. I have seen many sites needing explainations of why vampires exist, and many mockeries mind you, bitter gossip of childish coherencies collerizing audacities from such nonesense.

In lamens terms, individuals of society
floundering about at random questioning the very thought of why vampires exist. Romanticising for themselves a way to take away from their own lives. wandering into a darkness they call forth for themselves.

As a dark place they claim for themselves stereotypically as "goth". I see all over the media, vampires on the telly, vampires online, vampires on the news...

As I see on most of the threads on the Rave, about wanting to know what vampires look like, arguements about eye color, and hair color. Even threads about
medical reasons for vampirism. Though doctors in the traditional sense expriment on "trueblood", why must the rest of the populous ask the same questions over and over again. The same experiments as the doctors proceed with, are the same online with inquisitions as would be
private as taking a regular consitution. Still trying to prove to themselves and the world that vampires do or do not exist.

I am not sure of how many like minded "trueblood would agree with this thread, or how I word this thread...I
would simply like to know why. Why do you so inherantly wish to either become like us, say you are as we are, few and far between as we keep it that way for good reason. While vigile society claims to possess the advantages they claim we have. While romanicising again their own freedoms within that darkness, they call our society.

Within the social structure of society there seems to be random occurences where depressed adolescence wish to
grasp the consept of the strange, powerful in their eyes, and seductive. I am still wondering where they got the ideas of seducing, and power. Even though the media does put the ideas into their heads.

Does this world evolve this much upon idealisms that empower one to become such as others call abominations? Religion really does not have a thing to do with it at all. In no time does that world come up in the histories of the
"trueblood".

Please, I emplore you...Give me a decent explanation as to why any of you either claim to be, wish to be, or admit to being that which normal society outcasts.

Furthermore, I would like responses from everyone on the Rave, this includes all social groups. As I believe this will benefit the Rave in its true purpose. To gain knowledge in its undertakings.

I guess you have make up your own mind here. It's a bit of a cliche but a 'trueblood' as you put it, is hardly going to jump up and down, waving their arms and announcing their presence to the world.
It is also clear that you have clear categories of people;
1. the Vampire fans, enthusiasts and junkies
2. the roleplayers or ones who will insist they are but actually they are not and they know it
3. the confused and seeking some framework in a godless society
4. Real Vampires, if you are lucky

So, which one are you then?

soulshroude,

Like Gautham, I also would like to know why you seek to lead people- into starting the discussion from the basis of assuming that you yourself are a vampire, which falsely determines your authority over the subject.

I would like to hear you answer your own questions.

I would have to also query the question ontop of what has been asked already.

That why you wish to hear from everyone about it. It would bring to the table all sorts of things.

Having the oppertunity to answer, i would say that I am no different from a man, worse off in my finances and health to which i dearly need to see a doc but can't afford it.

I would then venture to say that anything I am which society deems as outcast other then a homosexual. Just as you are deemed an outcast by being a mason.

These things we deal with. To everyone, no one really fits in. Thats what the fallacy of the greater whole is. There is no more "society" then there are the conformist people who fit into that caste. There is none who lead the perfect xtian life, leading themselves and others they care about down the ignorance that wrapping labels on things surmizes.

I am not one thing any more then i am another. I would say I am different from many because i have my own ticks and quirks. But I will say this, that there is no one else that can be me better then I am. No one who can be me, for I am the only me. As the reader of this is only them, and though striving to be the best me I can be. The most aware me of all of the natural things that come easy to my body and spirit I excell at being me from one moment to the next. Even though I have as many problems getting by as the next guy. I am me, always have been. I have gone through different states of me, when one me dies, i bring to life a new me to better protect myself from those who have tried to kill me. Its a matter of how you adapt yourself to the world, that makes it easiest to hide in. To not be noticed by those who would have your head if they had the chance. ....peculiar thread...sorry for the rant.

"Why ask Why" is what I would like to ask you..I am not a Vampire but am fascinated with everything about them whether it be a lifestyle or just myth, books or movies.

Perhaps the questions about Vampire's are like a tree they change with the season but the tree still stands. People come and go... new people new questions about the same topic "The Vampire" It's definately well rooted whether real or not whether a medical condition or not it's still standing like a tree. :)

I am interested in paranormal phenomena but that is only one thing in this entire world of things that I am interested in. I have a passion for knowledge and for understanding...the very reason to ask questions.

Hope I wasn't way off topic.

I think that people want to be vampires because they believe it will give them power, make more of their weary existence.
The average person is not content with their standing on the social or corporate ladder of the world, so they constantly long for something that will make them powerful...respected...loved...admired.
Vampirism, supposedly, is a very easy way to get that. All the power you want. All the time in the world to earn respect. No time limit on anything. Eternity to find that one true love. etc.

To clarify and not to contradict myself as most of you are waiting on, I will try best to discribe in terms why I worded the term "as we are".

It was best to put it as this phrase, properly, not claiming to be "trueblood", I know myself to be trueblood. Not without reasons undisclosed for the for the sake of minimal arguement.

Why would a "vampire" be on a site that promotes the youth of the nation to come in and make themselves feel normal? So many questions, and yet I get questioned back.

It is like that of another doctor or psychiatrist again wanting to know the facts of the individuals mentality.

As I had stated about the controversies erupting, I was not wrong.

I bleed like everyone else, I work, blah blah...I am sure no one wishes to here the humdrums of average life. I will not begin to write an Ann Rice novel about some depressed vampire running around with its head cutoff garneshing the attention of the masses. I merely asked a question and was replied with questions.

The statement about jumping up and down announcing to the world, about being a vampire...Is that not what the sanguin do, or some on the rave? Simply kids wishing for attention? I had tried to make the thread as easy to understand as possible, and as I have stated and will state again, I ment no insult nor disrespect to the rave and or its members.

My ramblings may go on for a bit, but unfortunatly none of the right questions were asked. Not that there are any right questions, it was more like a tag teaming of sorts. Seems as though it is just another side of the green grass turning greener about who is right and who wants answers to let them know they are right.

A bit of rebuttle for Stabbs post:

The question based is not to lead people into either debate, or otherwise taking other steps to prove or to disprove the case.

I simply seek answers as to why this is the most prevailant subject in your minds, as the subject forks into like topics of psi, clairvoyant, psychic, etc. related to the same topic. As I already know what I think, I wish to here them from you. Not retaliations.

*Chuckles* listen to me, I seem to be in a bit of a repetition. My opoligies. Let us continue this thread.

I wish to become a vampire although not fully understanding the term wholly. I wish to become what I see in myself. I wish to become predator opposed to the weak prey that I may seem now. Annoying enough as it seems that it rarely happens like the novels describe. In some way I feel as though I am already that. Different, confused, intolerable ect.

How do you define a vampire or a true blood?

And i dont understand why anyone would get offended at this thread? If there is such a thing as a true vampire then first i really doubt if he/she will be sitting on the internet all day, second why would he/she be offended, they know what they are and nothing can change that...there are millions who say that they do not exist then why on Earth would the real or true vampires be bothered about a thread on a social website?Answer such questions youreself..

As for your questions i believe that vampires are creatures with fantastic characteristics......The myth that surrounds them have blown up these characteristics to huge proportions....Power,Style,Mystery,Immortality,
Elegance,Beauty,Biting hot chicks(Heh hee),
Intelligence,Strength,Fear.......Now tell me who wouldn't like to be associated with such fine attributes?

And besides Everyone is behind a computer screen, myself included....That is the beauty of social websites...It gives one the power to hide their true nature and give impressions of one's imaginary perception of themselves....and depending upon the individual this perception may sometimes get bloated like a blimp....

This is a very simple question actually.....

Now I will answer duly. This is the right question.

To your first question, I would define myself of the trueblood nature as I have stated before. Vampires are of myth and fantasy based by media sensationalisms. I like others was born and raised with certain chromasomes missing, and extra ones given in their place. It is a simple genetic pool altering. Not by doctors, but by birth itself. No one knows for sure why this happened or what caused it. The best answer I can give you would be that it was inherited. Some generations have it while others are skipped. Like that of twins, or cerebral palsy. I will not go into detail on how these chromasomes react, this is for another post.

The second question answered is as follows.

In the modern world, some would be insulted by the mere thought of a true natured creature on an online site when there is so much in the world for us to do. Yes? Maybe not, I live a regular life, but with a few minor details mixed in. Most of them are purely physical mind you. I see it as what ever occupies my mind at the moment I will do, a new hobby if you will, as I get bored very easily. Seems to happen with an energetic mind.

The answer to the third question,

Psychology plays a major role in every aspect of human life I am sure you recognize. Though I have had plenty of schooling in the realms of the mind, from human behavior, to personal theories. Yet no one knows the whole meaning...It is like asking what women want. No offense to the ladies out there.

If you need more clarification, I will be more than happy to enlighten.

Thankyou in turn for this reply, and for your thoughts on the thread in whole.

I am not a vampire, nor do I wish to become one because, quite honestly, I don't see an upside to it.

I believe that vampires as portrayed in movies and books are nothing more than pure fiction, and that a true to life vampire is not stronger, nor faster, nor more powerful, nor longer lived than any other mortal human being.

When one strips away the Hollywood glam, it leaves me with the impression, based on vampires I know personally, that a real vampire differs from humans usually by his dependancy on blood or energy. Almost like an addict, if you will (so phrased because I had the displeasure of witnessing one of my friends experience actual addiction-withdrawl symptoms when he went too long without ingesting blood).

But, that is only one person's opinion.

You are very right about the no upside to it, in all my life, I have seen no upside. I may not get sick or have a cold on a regular basis. But it does happen, not immune, just more tolerable. I can see quite clearly in the dark without having to readjust to the strains that I normally see my friends go through. But I would not call these upsides. I am not stronger without first working out. Or smarter than the average bear. This comes with schooling, and lifes lessons.

Though I am able to see aura's, I am still unsure if this is related to my "condition". I do see spirits at times, but that again seems to be normal, and not related in anyway.

With the fascinations I see in movies about turning another into a vampire, this is very false, as there is no real way to take on this task. I would find it absolutely impossible. Or more so, improbable. My eyes do change color for the seasons, but not that noticably in my view. My hair does change color based on seasons change, but again, not that noticable in my view. My fingernails do grow a bit faster as well as my hair, but that again would be considered normal...Must the consumption of protean.

But enough with my diagnosis, let this thread continue.

You still haven't answered my first question...The one on the very top....Why do you classify yourself as a vampire? You have mentioned that you have certain chromosomes missing and a few extra ones in their place...What difference has it made in your body structure? Why do you call yourself a vampire?I dont think anyone has the right to say he/she is a vampire cause quite frankly the vampires in myths and legends are not believed to exist....No one has found any proof whatsoever to state that vampires do or once did exist....A certain change in the biological structure or composition in your body doesn't make one a vampire...for today's modern day vampire have been defined by humans.....There are people who drain energy and people who like drinking blood the latter cannot drain energy from it but does so for emotional gratification,If anyone says that they can drain energy from blood they are lying....Therefore i believe the sang and psi are the only two names today in closest comparison to vampires...

I am still wondering how this thread came as a counter attack toward me like a turkey on a chopping block.

As I have stated before, about my physical qualities, my hair, my eyes, my nails...If one should classify a vampire by these characteristics, then yes. As I have read, seen, lived, and witnessed. What other "proof" would you prefer as physical? That my skin burns under direct sunlight? Not burning, but blisters are a very big pain if I am out for too long. Or the fact that if I do not wear sunglasses, my eyes turn completely red due to irritations of u.v. exposure. Not myth or legend, strictly fact. It is called V-D deficiancy which is a part of my "condition". Am I allergic to certain things? Not at all, at least not that I am aware. Though garlic does burn my mouth, does not mean a thing. I ask what proof you would like that I may shine a bit more light.

But please, This thread is about all others, I am still not sure how it managed to focus more on me.

Heh hee nicely put Soulshroude.....

I do have a question.....all these things you have mentioned...about having blisters on your skin when you're too long, your eyes changing colors,Garlic burning in your mouth....Now you have stated these as possible reasons as to why you consider yourself to be one....But aren't these the very myths that surrounded the vampires of fiction.A lot of people tell me in this website that there are only sang and psi vampires and nothing else.....Should i blindly believe them?Of course not...My point is the definition f what a vampire is has changed from era to era, person to person, region to region. In this day how can one actually define what a true vampire is?On e person has one opinion, while other other may have some other....and thee are millions of peole on this planet each having their perception of what a vampire is and is not.....

Now back to the question you have put up.I am sorry if i deviated from the query. My apologies....You have asked why people pretend to be vampires?Well reading most of the posts written by all those who claim to be vampires i have come to this conclussion....

1)85% of them are lower level members(Whelps,Mosquitos,Shadows.....Fiend)

2)Half of them cannot type with proper spelling or grammer

3)This is a vampire site.Hence its only normal that people will try to pretend to be one to satisfy their imaginary perception of themselves and their ego....

4)They start fighting for o reason.....

So basically half of the members who claim to be real vampires(Read Hollywood vampires-the bloodsucking immortal variety)
are those people who are either new to this site or people suffering from cases of inferiority complexes or social anxieties..Or maybe they just get kicks while doing so...

To Gautham, thankyou for that perspective...And though I am only a level 13, I am no adolescent, not by any means...Mental or otherwise. Your means are just in my view, this is why I give you answers.

To Carvall, trueblood is the term I grew up with before I even learned about what it ment, or the differant names for those of changed atmosphere. Such as sanguin, psi, daywalker or whathaveyou. Hell, even the parents use it, and they don't even have computers.

So, my answer to the question....which simply put is : Why would anyone wish to be a mythical vampire ? is .....some people enjoy fantasy.

No ill will's at all Gautham, the inquisition was nessessary for the thread. I faced the firing squad as I would normally do. I do hope to retain such with you in the future.

Much appreciated Carvall, no harm, no fowl. Both Gautham and yourself had every right. be it as it may. I lit the fire, and am watching it burn.

i find now days that everyone is more atracted to vampire myth and legend as aposed to the old days when everyone feared the so called real vampires, even now i see such individuals dressing and pretending to be vampires and i look at that as a mochery to a society that has gone haywire they even have a church for vampires..i don't know about everyone else but the last time i checked vampirism was a society and not a religion.
but i do feel that there is a need to seperate what is real and what is just hokus pokas in todays socieies.
for the most part i tend to feel that some people just tend to follow others and end up somewhere they dont want to be after they find out the real truths..

With regards to the original post...

It seems to me that an individual who feels themself to already be misunderstood, an outcast as yo put it, will tend to seek out some social setting where they feel they can find a sense of belinging without having to conform to the standards of the "normal" society that they feel has already forsaken them. They seek out others who seem to be in the same situation, who share their dark proclevities. And this is the result. No one is able to exist totally alone. If it were not defined as "vampire" then a different label would come to take its place. But the same people, with the same darker tendencies and strange appetites and beyond "usual" abilities, would find one another and band together.

Why would a "trueblood", as the term was used, want to revel in the fact that they are alone? Or is it that just as any individual needs to feel like they are not alone, they also need to feel like they are in their own way unique--special--and worthy of their individuality?

I agree with Emeleth. Like attracts to like. This is done so no one feels alone in this world, even if it is on an online society. If I were to claim myself a true Vampire then I would get questioned just as you were about why I feel this is true, but to say I am not would be lying. Everybody has their reasons as to why they think they are or are not a Vampire. I do not know much about chromosomes or such, and I feel that to get to scientific would loose a lot more people than it would help.

We all come here to learn or just to see what this site is about, and maybe gain some kind of comprehension about what is going on in our lives. (for those who feel that they are “true” and need guidance) Without going to much in depth and taking the risk of again stirring everybody up, as it seems they have settled some, I hope that I have answered you question. If not then, please feel free to message me so we can discuss some more.

to me alot of people will say they are vampires and try to be themselves as one but to truly find a person out there who actually sucks blood or energy from people is a rare thing and not something you are going to find in most places. I am not a vampire and have no interest in becoming one at but I find them very interesting in stories and wish to learn about them.

My biggest question and the one I have not realy gotten a clear answer on is what is the difference between someone claiming they are a Vampire and a normal human? Many of the things listed above such as sensitivity to light/sun, paranormal abilities normal humans have as well. So I have asked time and again where is the line that makes you any different than anyone esle except that you claim you are. Is it lifestyle, fashion, the thirst for blood but it couldnt be that because then what about the Psi Vampire's?

I am my Own person and i answer to noone .. Do I feel i am a Vampire? Perhaps i do.. Would other believe me when i would state it so... I dont know nor do i really give a damn about their opinion... I am a strong willed woman and i am proud of who i am and i dont need to know others opinions to have a good set of shoulders to be able to accept who i am as i already do!.. I am proud of who i am and what i am and what i do and dont need to answer any of this ... but i guess in all my raving i have so enjoy it

Perhaps it would first be wise to ask, if the fiend is truly a vampyre why pray tell would they divulge such a secret. It seems that self preservation be self evident would keep them from giving such information.

As for my view, it is simple, in 1989 I should have died in a motorcycle accident, but through religion, modern medicine, or some other power here I am...

Someone posted earlier that in their opinion half of the poeple here who claimed to be vampire were levels 13 and lower...along the lines of that making it bs, and drama/attention asking liars...let me make my point on this....
Whether or not you are a paying member, a high, or low level,a teen or adult full in their life makes NO difference , nor does it matter or pertain to the fact or lack of one being a vamp, tom dick or harry. If you are high in level, it simply means you have alot of free time or the will/addiction to get yourself high in the ranks of this website....levels do not validate one's self, their actions and words do.

I myself have a life offline...a family, a kid, friends...which requires me to spend my time other than sitting online....and I am a vamp.
I don't brag about it to the world, in my personal life I don't hide it either, if someone asks I'll talk, but I came here and have been on other sites to both meet, help or learn variant things from others, and feel some form of comraderie.

I personally could care less what damn level I am here...I've been here over a year and a half, and my reason for staying is to partake in conversation with friends or on topics, like this.

Why do I call myself a vamp? Simple, because I am, I was born this way, as well as having had past lived I remember where I was the same way, it is in these memories, my soul, me core beliefs, that I classify me. From early childhood, I knew that I needed blood and/or energy. I feed off energy any way I can, and I call myself vamp as a result-my choice, infallible, and not up for debate.....
I know my limitations, my weaknesses, what gifts I have, how I am affected if I deny feeding, or my nature, I get sick, and I also know that vampirism as well as psychic gifts abound on both sides of my family history.

I think fictional based vamps get romanticized by many because they see the allure, they are missing something in life, whole those who truely awaken search and seek help or others because they NEED help to comprehend that they have special needs and can adjust and accept who they are...it's like some people needing meds to cope with anxiety.

I'm not evil, I think of myself as an open, fairly grey-lighted pagan path person. I don't think it's a bad thing to be like me, hell it can be great, but all people, all paths have their ups and downs.

And no I don't live like a roleplayer...tho I am goth. But I could be wearing mommy gear colors, and still be standing next to you thinking about how nice it would be to take a little energy off the 'top'...after all you might look good. ;)

eveyone says "If they were a vampire, why would htye be on the internet?"
Well duh....they do live in this day and age....the trick to survival is to change...So obviously some may sit at thier desks, in their ordinary homes, watching people like us discuss their origins, where abouts and history as if we knew any better.
maybe even they are seeking knowledge, as we are. As i certainly am.
That is usually what is comes down tow for most i think, is an escape...or knowledge. Or both simultaneously.

I would like to know what people think a vampire is i mean their are two types of vampires modern day vampires and true vampires, and so far i have not met a true vampire, all i have met are people who drink blood and like dark things and their is nothing wrong with that but people talk like they are immortal or they were born a vampire, i am not saying that their are not true vampires because i do not know if their are or not but when someone sais that they are a vampire they should say that they are a modern day vampire and stop saying that they are a true vampire...

I respect all the comments, judgemental and otherwise. To answer a few of the statements and or questions, let me make on thing clear. I do this not for the well being of others, nor for myself. It is gain a perspective on the other qualities people possess in this day and age. More of a measure for learning. How one reacts.

Notice I have not mentioned how or when I "feed". Nor have I said whether or not I am sanguin, psi, or otherwise. These facts are not of your concern.

I will say that a couple of the posts were a bit accurate, though I am no judge of anothers life, just the knowledge I have for myself.

About the aging process...I do age slower than most, but hey, does Brad Pitt look his age, or Elijah Wood? No. If you belong to H.E., you may have seen the pic of the wife and I. Or the pic on my site. If this aging process makes me stereotypical, then so be it. Just more proof the world needs.

Why say you are alone? I mentioned nothing about being alone. I said few. Not meaning less than 100 in a 10,000 population, far from it. A good analogy would be...How many Christians in a city? Or cross genders?

We are just another referance for the numbers game, but we take liberty in not showing ourselves and for good reason. You may have seen us, some like to dress "gothy" or whathaveyou, others are average families...I know a couple who are truckers. The clothes do not make an individual, the individual does.

Maybe it would be a sort of avant-garde? Living like the goth lifers, just to throw them off? I am not saying we are special in anyway. I am not saying we have innate abilities that make us better. Not by any means.

I do like being alone myself though, now that you mention it. I like to live more like a hermit than anything, does not mean I do not go out once in a while. But I do prefer the loner life. Save for the wife of course.

I state the fact that I am, not to justify the means, but find it nessessary to give a good view on this thread.

The question I saw in the thread about the differance between human and vamp...Not very much, save for the color change of hair, eyes and sometimes skin with hot and cold. But these can be done with contact lenses, make up, and hair dye. Dental procedures can be done to remake movie history if need be, but I will not divulge if this is a fact or a myth.

Believe what you will, and who you will, this is what freedome of choice is all about. I just ask for opinions, and all of these responses are much appreciated. I myself, have choice to come out into the open, or stay silent...These options obviously do not matter to me personally.
But, I will not cross certain barriers, and or boundaries...I am not that stupid.

Ah....Here we go again......

My dear friend Ankhenanset....

First of all a personal question...What does your name mean...I'm just curious...Lol...

Yes back to the thread...What i have said about the people who claim to be vampires being under level 13 is based on my view.I have seen time and again..millions of threads about those who claim to be a real vampire and yes most of them fell into that category. And i have mentioned that only a rough 60 % of them are so...Please do read the post properly before trying to claim that it is BS...Why dont you go check in the forums and see for yourself...And the reason i say so is that when new people come to this site they think it would be fun to pretend to be one...But the more time you spent here on V.R one will notice that most member's dont give a rat's arse if you are one or not...Hence in time they mature and quit the role playing.
And levels do to one extent help one gain a firm understanding of how to portray oneself through experience and maturity about such sensitive topics....As for you remembering who you were in your past life thats called Past life regression i believe perhaps caused by repressed memory. And besides you yourself have mentioned that you do not perform any kind of role playing....I was referring to the ones that do.
I have no problem if you are a vamp..Why would i have one?You have your beliefs and i have mine....

Good Day.....

People who are not vampires claim to be one of them because they want to be something more than what they already are.....Obviously...Now see when you started this thread you should have thought that the only posts you will be getting will be those who are role playing and those who shall scrutinize them......You wanted to know why ordinary people claim to be one of your kind(As you have stated) well that itself means you want the role players to reply...

Isn't it?And what can the role players reply? That they are vampires, they drink blood, they get burned when in contact with sunlight, their eye color, hair color changes blah blah......But does all this help you?

No...They don't...Because you're expecting answers from people who pretend to be someone they are not...thereby removing any sort of true answers you hope to achieve in your query.....

Aside from the vamp side of things, same question goes for the other alluring names, such as the "lupine, garou, etc". What is the story behind this? More Rpg, or is there as well an existance about either body changes when angered, or more of a bi-polar state of mind?

Interesting question, soulshroude, and one which i am going to take some time (and space) to answer:

why would one claim to be that which society deems as outcast? it seems to me more that this question is more along the lines of those who are not vampires, rather than those that are. if i am correct, i would not be the one to answer this question at all.

'vampire' is the archetype of my current mindframe, current spiritual state, and current energy state. i do not embrace the term wholeheartedly for infamy, nor do i take on the term because it is in style. rather, i assume the name, archetype, and term because it most accurately describes the archetype of Jenova, that which is the overall prevalent self.

i am not a role player. i hate role playing. i am not allergic to sunlight (though i prefer the night by far). i have a full time job and career. the vampire and the talents and latent abilities of the vampire help me in my endeavors.

'vampire' shapes my view of the world and colors my perceptions of others. it also etches the stone path which i carve for my way towards the future. it is the archetype and mentality and energetic state of being that emerged in the aftermath of a truly horrible set of circumstances several years ago and has since tainted my world with blood and the animal lust for survival. when faced with personal extinction of the ego, the vampire emerged as the champion for survival at the animal level.

this was my awakening. i am what i am, nothing more and nothing less. i care not what society says about vampires. i don't reveal myself to just anyone. i use what i am to my advantage and in such a way that most would deem me immoral. it simply footed the bill when there was nothing left to draw from and as such, it is the prevailing part of my self and my ego.

My opinion angers alot of people therefore I do not wish to be argued with but I would like to say it yet again.

It is SO EASY these days to go onto the internet and take on another persona. Perhaps you are not happy with your current self for some reason. Millions of people around the world go online everyday and pretend to be something/someone that they are not. It is easy to convince others that you are this other persona, if you play along with it well. Sometimes you can even convince yourself that that is who you really are. Therefore it is very easy to go onto the internet and claim that you are a vampire or a werewolf, and no one can do anything to prove otherwise.
If you are one of these people, you may say that you are not roleplaying, but you really are.
Soulshroud to me it sounds like these are the people that you are complaining of, but it seems to me atleast, that you are one of them too.

Please don't flame or hate me, I am open and accepting of what people choose to believe, but this is just my opinion.

That in my mind was a right answer for the question asked. I thankyou for your insight Jenova and clarity...I see you have understanding for that which is, and commend you for it.

As I stated earlier in the thread about the sun giving me blisters, I am not saying that after 10 minutes I need to head back in doors.

A few friends of mine were at the beach a couple of years back during Independance day. While there, we were all topless for around 4 hours, the sun was out, it was about 75 degrees. We decided to make camp to watch the works. By nightfall, I felt very sick to my stomach and needed to cool down, so I took a dip in the ocean. After I came back, my friends were looking at me freaked out. Apparently I had some blisters that had popped from more than just burns on my skin. I had not even noticed. This was after sunblock was applied. Anywho, I woke up the next morning unable to move and had to have my girlfriend at the time medicate me the best she could. Never again. That was the first time I had that many blisters from the sun as well as a couple on my face, it was very unpleasant to say the least. After that, the sun and I have been major enemies. I do not tan, I do not burn, I blister pure and simple.

Like I said, Vitamin D deficiancy of the skin. Unfortunatly for me, uncurable. So far as I know.

I will not flame on you, what ever that means, or hate you for your response. I enjoy your point of view and agree with it. No matter what words come out of the mouths of the moths, no one truly knows for sure unless you are eye to eye. Even then, the truth is still shadows. Though you are very right about the question. I still expect maturity and not role playing as everyone keeps implying. But if this is what the VR gives me, than I have no choice but to deal. Lessons are learned every day.

Not sure myself, though the sun is an excellent source of D, I may still blister if in it for too long regardless. But as I cannot get enough of the D, as my skin refuses to even farmer tan as I heard it being called, this does put a damper on things.

Not really, as my job is the graveyard shift, I enjoy it...The damper is that when the wife wishes to go out, at times I am too damned tired to leave the house, or we just stay indoors where we traveled to. We mainly only take evening walks when the sun is at its downtime. Here in Nola, the best time to go out is evening...Less heat, lol

Sounds like a severe sunburn to me. I am not a Vampire but have had on more than one occasion had a severe sunburn when I was younger. Of course I have fair skin and didn't use enough and strong enough protection. I ended up in the ER but to be honest it was just a severe sunburn with the blisters and swelling fever nausea all that accompanies a bad sunburn
