What do you think happened to this reporter susan

She was working on the underground vampires and started to see one she claimed to be undead ….. what do you think happened?

Its really hard to say. People are disappearing constantly. It seems to me that she might have pissed off the wrong person whether they be someone she reported on or a drug dealer. I'm thinking that she is probably dead.

I agree its hard to say but I do believe she isnt alive

theres alot of things, and just because its the modern era doesnt mean the old things just lay down and die. they adapt, so why can't we adapt with the majority actually doing research before they post.

There is alot of harmless things about "modern vamp society" but reality, theres alot of things which aren't politcally correct. So if she went digging, and wound up digging her own grave, then so be it.

Only thing i have to say, is if she did meet some of the creatures which walk the earth, then she better have been worth while for them to do anything but kill her outright.

i think if she made someone mad they may have off'ed her. Or who knows maybe she went into some witness protection program and is now a new person... Who knows.. I still think she is dead.

On a bit more of a serious note...

Many are deeply manipulated by other resourceful individuals than we can shake as stick at...From abandoning families to join cults, to being so shaken up to hide from whatever is scaring you the most. Mayhaps she has been in hiding from whatever was supposedly chasing her. Her story began to unfold and the wrong individuals heard about it...Happens all the time.

Shame we could'nt read the article that was never printed.

Crime syndicates abound, all investigive reporters face threats etc.

I guess we will never know what happened.

I would be curious as to what her article was about.

I'd love to read the article too.. Who knows what really happened.. Doubt we will ever know, unless they find a body. Then its up to science to tell us

I think it more likely the mob had something to do with her disappearance. They still have never found Jimmy Hoffa.

If they did get her writing and if she is dead....so would be her writings.

There are many theories, and all of them have merit to what really happened.

The mob hit, although this does happen I don't believe this was the case. I don't think that she was that much of a threat to the Russian mob for them to resort to a hit.

Overdosing and leaving herself for dead, I don't think she would of done that either. She had a kid, and although it's not always true that parents would leave their child, she seemed to have enough morals where she wouldn't do that.

Getting lost within the subculture, although it is enticing for some. Again I don't think she would of done that. For someone to resort to stripping to provide for her kid, says to me she has enough respect for her child to not leave him.

What I think happened was a kidnapping by a deranged psychopath who prays on strippers. He could have been so enticed by her on stage it drove him to follow her and kidnap her at the opportune time when she wasn't with her child.

Sorry for the book, mysteries like this is a hobby of mine.

I read a book on her several years ago. Written by a friend or sibling, I can not remember which. There was more detail about the vampire clubs and so forth in the book. Whomever, wrote it, followed Susan's steps in attending the clubs and interviewing people in the lifestyle. It was a fairly interesting read.

The Link: What struck me more than the vampire or mob angle is the hard time single mothers have in our country. Unless they put their ambition and youth aside and just stay behind locked doors, they and their children are vulnerable --- prey --- to monsters both dead and undead.

Or maybe she decided to start over and disappear. NO husband, no kid no dealing with divorce lawyers and publicity. There are numerous theories.

Strippers and drugs go hand in hand. I know this first hand. Chances are she's dead or a slave somewhere. Just because they cant find her body doesn't mean she is alive. Everyone's seen the Sporanos...it happens.

You never know. There are bad people in every society... psychopaths, murderers, etc. So it is quite likely that she WAS killed by somebody. However, she could well have found out more than she wanted to know and killed herself... or perhaps is still alive today, living a new life, hiding from or embracing further the lifestyle that so intrigued her.

I think something did happen to her, that she merley did not disapear on her own. Would love to read this article or even more things on this.

I do highly doubt that she dissapeared on her own, as well.

I recently read a book entitled, 'Piercing the Darkness: a closer look at Vampires in America' [or something of that manner].
It follows up on the research that Susan Walsh had been doing, and is very intriguing, as it delves into the personal accounts of numerous 'vampires', a few of which Susan herself had been in contact with.

There are many angles to which you could look at this story..


The Mod could have killed her as many have said or just sold her off in to white slavery over seas.. it happen more then you really want to know.

OR some over zealot person thinking they were a vampire drank her last drop..

Maybe a Hard core Christian right wing-est knocked her off because they thought that the story would draw too much interest.

Maybe shes locked up some where in some ones basement as a sex slave who knows..

But if enough people ask the news agency to print what she already had they may.

i know that a lot of you have said that she may have been killed and all that unhappy jazz. but to me i feel that maybe the thing that she sought to show the world pulled her in to the lifestyle and she just faded away in to the night leaving behind her son her family and her old life that brought her so much pain.

but in the end the only one that can truly say what happen is Susan Walsh or the man or women that took her away from her world.

I think she just wanted to disapear. Just look at her health, state of mind, career......Her wrists being bandaged just makes me think she may have cut herself and if thats the case then she probably succeded in a suicide attempt. The only thing strange is that she cared enough about her son to make sure that he was taken care of.

Dealing with the russian mob in NY, drugs, stripping, life on a roller coaster? Just because she wrote an article about Vampire Clubs in the Village in NYC doesn't mean that they exist ... she got hooked up with the wrong crowd and at the appropriate time she went down.

NY happens to have a rather large vampire community clubs and so forth?

I don't mean that the clubs are not there, The Village has many sorts of clubs... I'm from that area, so I'm quite familiar with GV... however the reality of a full fanged century old vamp is still debatable. Yes people live the "lifestyle" that is true. The other there is no substantial proof.

i doubt a full fanged century old vampire lives to day.

Oh, most likely she went to score and got raped, robbed and left for dead some where that had nothing to do with her, which in that area it will take years to find.

I am from NY I know of many places to hide a body, but she is gone, none the less. I know of her as do many from the community out in NY. something things are better left to the wind!

After reading that article I would hazard a guess that it is a possibility she was sold into the sex industry as a slave or something.

There are so many choices! She could have really gotten sucked deep into the subculture, she could have pissed off the wrong people, she could have overdosed acidentally. This is my personal theory - her "friend" who followed her so closely could have decided to make her disappear. Perhaps this article was too tempting - the "friend" wanted to take credit for it. Perhaps the writings will be miraculously found in the future.

I don't see this thread generating any further useful debate.
