i want to know what some others views on this are. do you think that there is a such thing as life after death.... even if it is just a no , why.
what happens to ours souls after we die? i know our bodies are in the ground or on the mantel..... that is our choice..... but our souls we dont fil out paper work for that kindof thing
some reason i think we just go in the ground. dont know why maybe so the worms can have a party, and eat up, seriously thats what i think.
I imagine a greater metaphor then we can grasp, yet here it is around us.. every where.. light .. upon dying .. this is over .. into the Horizonless after life.. I don't limit myself to "life after death" what do I want to do this all over again.. or even a glorified version.. I don't even want to get a peek at the After Life.. I want it to be a surprise.. one that I can only imagine now.. I am made of many micro partacles if just one is " charged" then that one spark is me when I die it will go into continium.
I would like to resonate in the memories of a few people, leave a contributing impression on those I leave behind.
ten years ago I had a near death experience, due to smoe interesting circumstances, I beilve we do move on after this life, to live again, in one form or another, I do so enjoy the sunrise post, very nice way to describe oneself.
ok so are you one that believes that we are reborn at a satus level if we did good during our life time we come back higher that we were and that we go down if we were not so nice or do you believe that we are just re born to live yet another human life time?
i belive we have somthing after life but its impossible to say what happens as that no one can no. Any attempt to explain what happens after death is just a guess, even the fact that i belive something happens after death is just a guess but one the a truely belive but im not gona kid mself about know what that is.
i see like i said it is hard for me to know really ....... that is why i started this i wanted to know if i my self was the only one.
Well i strongly beleive in reincarnation. I beleive that yes our body is just a vessel for our soul and when the body dies our soul is reborn, it doesn't mean it is born onto a nother human it could be a animal a insect anthing else that is living. But this comes to me after many years of searching for answers and having past life regression. vur each person has their own beliefs and that is ok.

do you think that where our souls go depeds on what we do in this life time
If a person is tainted they may flicker and fade.. if a person cast a strong light when they lived I imagine they would radiate more brightly then those that smothered the light of others.
that is a really good way to think about that.... i still do know what to think?
I believe in reincarnation.....
When I die...
I will eventually be reborn, living and learning until the end of time.
Believing that many possibilities can be imagined. That some like to share a commonly accepted possibility, and that others imagine more esoteric, or eclectic possibilities, ones that fit their assurance.
I feel that when we die so does our soul. I had a close brush with death about 4 years ago and had to be revived, during that time I don't recall seeing anything, no white light, no "tunnel". Just reinforced my beliefs. Of course maybe that meant my soul was bound for hell .......smiles.
Then a hell that awaits a person like you is a hell I will gladly go to to share your company..
Awwww Dabbler you doll you *huggles* ...
I have to wonder how the people that believe in reincarnation and that their soul will live on lead their current life. Do they live it to the fullest or just say "ehhhh, I'll get another chance"?
well if it is what is going to happen to my soul....... i do not think there is much more that i could do in my next life...... i try to live as much as my wallet and bod will let me cause as far as i know right now this is all i got

I think when we die our bodies shut down and we are burried with worms. and mud.
I think its one of those things that is different for everyone, depending on what you believe in, thats what happens, if you believe in life after death, like reincarnation than that is what happens for you, if you believe you go to heaven or a place like it, than that is what happens etc. etc. just my personal belief on the whole thing, thats all
I think that whe we die our body is disposed of by either burial or cremation. But our spirit moves on to another existence. I do not believe in reincarnation
Well I'm a spiritualist and I believe that we didn't get created just to die. I don't feel we live our lives and learn so much just to end up in the ground and stay there. That just seems pretty meaningless and creation itself would seem pretty pointless. I believe our souls are much like how nature is, the seasons. We live, we die, we are reborn. I think if we pay more attention to our nature we'd get a better understanding of how things are.
None taken hun .... i live my life to the fullest, I just don't say screw it as you said in your post. I have had to over come a lot of things in my life and nothing has been easy it just makes me stronger
I believe we all go to the same place but, we will see what we want or expect to see.
I believe in reincarnation, so I'd have to say yes - there is life after death.
I've also had a near-death experience when I was 9 years old. I was in the hospital for pneumonia and had to have surgery...I actually saw myself being worked on by the surgical team from the ceiling. I found out years later that I did flatline for a minute.
I feel alot is how you believe, I do feel we our souls do move on and that there is more to the journey just cannot believe that we endure so much then die and that is it. There has to be another plane we go to as in a step up or something that is better than what our worldly life was.
The age old questian! I don't believe we are going to the clouds and hang out with some bearded guy in sandals and play a harp.
However , one thing that could be a possiblity is that our energy may be absorbed BACK into the universe , and somehow recycled.
OR
We may enter another dimension. A higher form consciousness.
One way or another, at some point we will all find out!
I believe we do go someone when we die, but not sure where, but makes you think like where do spirits come from they are people what have died, maybe we go into spirit form or something
I believe that after we die our souls either are joined with the Goddess because they have completed their cycles and learning on earth or we are reincarnated because there are still lessons to be learned here. In rare cases I think if something traumatic has happened, the soul is lost and wanders here on earth as an apparition.
alot of it is based on how one Believes I feel we our souls move on to a better higher plane then we can even imagine whether it be reincarnated, or just in another demision. I do not feel once we die our souls just fade away just do not believe that after enduring lifes trials and tribulations to live and endure for a long or short time that we just no longer exist in any way.... I feel there is more to come and well won't know till we are dead .. yet I am in no hurry to get there either LOL
I think we kinda get a choice depending on how we live our lives what happens when it ends like earning a right. If we are good or if we make the world a better place. We can choose to move on and if not we are forced to repeat it.
when we die... we turn to dust... nothing more, nothing less... our bodies are just elements of the earth...
it is sad that some feel that once we die we turn to dust and its over I feel the body turns back to dust or ashes whichever way your buried, yet I feel the soul is another story, that it continues on and becomes more than we can even Fathom....
Some religions have us believe that we are reborn into another life, yet I am a christian and have worked in the funeral business for about 8 years and have nothing to show that we ascend to the heavens after we pass. i would hope that life will continue to some point after i have left mother earth. do i believe that there should or will be something more after death, Yes to some degree. but hope and faith. for us as mortals really donot know what lies after the curtain of death covers our bodies.
I feel that it just how someone want to believe in or have faith in etc... as to what happens so yeah won't know till the curtains fall...
I believe that when u die your spirit is reincarnated into another body
Hey Stabb666 what do you think????
Well depending on faith that would decide the matter but according to most we have a soul that separates when we die.
So I would say that we never die because our soul still lives and that is what keeps us alive because I think w/o a soul the person becomes like brain-dead.
P.S. Them may not be the exact words but that is somewhat close to it.
I am quite shocked that the answer hasn't come to you or has been told or shown to you. Regaurdless of your belief, your soul does live on. Now with that said, the place where your soul is destined to is unknown but to
you and how you live your life.
the energy in your soul may last for awhile, yet it soon will disapate, there is no evedience of the lifes energy continuing long after the shell has passed. it is all believed circumstances, yet i hope it does carry on to another realm or life.
I believe that death is only the death of our human body and that the soul continues to live, resting in another place and reviewing lifes lessons while awaiting rebirth. I believe death is just a phase in the evolution of the soul.
I would love to believe that there is something past this life to look forward to.
I would not want to be reincarnated.
The idea of going through potty training and zits and puberty all over again is not very appealing to me.
My shaman friend said that when you die, you stay with your body for a couple days....but what happens after that I don't know but I surely am sticking to my prior answer ^^.
I think a lot of this is just wishful thinking, I mean come on, who wants to think that the end truly is the end. I don't but have seen nothing to make me believe otherwise. I don't think anyone wants to die so they will grab onto anything that says different.
Personally I believe in heaven & hell. However I do think there are different levels & based how you lived your life is where you would end up. The thought of reincarnation has always fascinated me & I have had a few experiences that make me wonder if this is possible as well.
Personally I believe that after a period of rest and meeting up of people we have'nt seen for a time we make a choice which best suites our need for growth.
That does'nt just mean an opportunity for reincarnation though.
We may even decide to share what we know by being a guide or helper to some other Soul.
I believe in reincarnation so, I think we keep coming back until we get it right or make some wrongs right.
My thought are we go somewhere nice and hang out until its time to come back.
I think there is some sort of afterlife, I just don't know what yet.
Honestly, I don't think theres anything after death but rebirth.
You die, your soul is cleansed, and it's reborn in new flesh.
there have always been many ideas behind this thought were we go after we die. i do believe that yes we do exist after death . do we go to heaven or hell no i dont thinks so . i think we stay here maybe just in anouther dimention of some sorts. were our energies or souls as some put it continue to exist.
Now I don't profess that I know what happens after death ..but intuitively I feel that there is more than just this life... I always felt that I lived before.. I remember thinking this when I was 4 or 5... At the time it didn't seem probable to me that I had only been in existence for 5 years... I believe our so called God given talents might attest to this... Our talents may be skills we have developed in previous lives..
I think there is life after death I believe that for some of us our soul goes on to another person who is born just as we die.
i believe it depends on us. if there is an afterlife we will wander eternally either damned or divine.
When we die I believe we move on to our next life that we are to start and if we didn't finish things in this life then we come back to finish it
I hope that well I die that my spirit may live on through the people i have known over may life especially loved ones and friends but other than that unless my body parts get taken for those who need it I expect I will be a worm farm
The body is just a vehicle for the soul. God I'd hate to think that I'd come back to this screwed up planet. I think this is like school. when we die we graduate to a better world.
I would hope that my soul will still move on to someplace nice after my death, and if not well nothing missed.
MBK, don't know never been there and no-one has come back to tell me. Guess it all comes down to faith and your religios beliefs.
I am not sure if there is life after death. The concept of a soul is just a belief. Maybe we have one, maybe we do not. If there isn't a spiritual part, then I cannot imagine anything after the physical realm. We all have our personal and religious beliefs that encourage the thought of an after life as a mechanism to be reward or punished for living hedonistically in this realm. I would like to hope that there is more to the story than the few decades of life given to us, and that by following the golden rule for a lifespan would result in a positive after life be it reincarnation or heaven.
I believe that I wil come back and taunt you a second time....
In all seriousness, I do believe that there is some form of reincarnation. I have always felt that every life is lived, or should I say created, for the simple purpose of educating the soul. Somthing like a trial of some sort, to see that the sould is still learning....when the sould stops learning....it's over.
Now, you must keep in mind that there is not a religious bone in my body, nor do I trust in "faith".
I suppose you could say that is a mixture of many beliefe systems...it is just what I have always felt to be.
~VS~
So how many times do you think your soul has been re-cleased and re-used MBK?
And all so I don't think we can make a good judgement on this because for the simple fact nobody can say because they have already died so we don't know what will happen.
I have yet to go to a movies and be tempted to peek in at the ending.
People that claim to know the end of the movie, usually hint at it the whole way through.. man what a way to watch a movie, huh?
I bring it down to the After Life, Life after death, that has a suggestion of business as usual, I like that graduation post.. what if it is greater then even you could imagine.. something that is you 'peeked at' would "take" you "there" on the spot ?

I don't have a clue. It's just my belief even if I don't remember having a past life.
Fair enough MBK my bad to say that.
But do you think humans will eventually conquer Death???
Nuh uh. Because no matter what everything dies. Even if humans would somehow possibly manage to find a way not to die by old age, if they don't find a new planet to move to, their going to die anyway.
This is in a few billion years when the sun dies, becomes a red giant and expands destroying the first two planets, et cetera...
I see fair enough good sir and I wonder if a fountain of youth ever existed?
People all have their tales about there being one.
Some say there was one in the NY area before it was NY.
Et cetera.
It's like the story of the Holy Grail and what not.
The moment a fountain of youth is found, there will be those who claim to seek the fountain of regeneration. living forever will not be enough, they will want the assurance that they will be preserved as they are.
I don't think the fountain would be so popular if it reversed the aging process. If it slowed the aging process i would be likely to consider a sip.
Ahhh.... THESE are the kind of questions I love! Ones that make us think before we answer. good on you!
Ok. My thoughts?
No. Death... Physical death, is not the end. From the experiences I've had, I can pretty much say in all confidence that this life is more of a prepatory stage.
a proving grounds, if you will. It is how we live it and what we learn from it that decides what we take with us when we move on. The Universe has an almost perfect way of sorting us out. Those who waste their lives, and make no use of it are generally unable to move on.(these are usually the spirits we hear about in hauntings etc.) But, those of us that see it as the gift it is and take the opportunities it provides tend to move on or (for lack of a better word)transcend. to what? .....don't rightly know. I guess I'll figure it out when I get there.
Good luck in finding your answer
and never stop asking

And all so they say it was in florida but what I don't understand is that they say the aztecs had youth more so then most poeple of there day even europeans so maybe there lake was the fountain.
Are you kidding me live forever? no I just want to see if I can get a boost of it.. sort of like uppers for the inner spark.. all things in moderation.
So you are telling me dabbler that if you had a chance at everlasting life you wouldn't take it dabbler?
dabbler -
I'd actually have to disagree with it not being popular if it reversed the aging process.
There are many, I'm sure, who'd love not having to face death.
Hey MBK what do you think the most prominent place is your opinion the fountain would be located at????
Simple. It would be where it's most likely not to be I'm sure. ;]
No wouldn't go for immortal life, I wouldn't want to become a fetus again either. Reversing the aging process.. man that is twilight zone.. I could imagine the fountain of youth being in a underground cavern, site of rich mineral deposits. perhaps even tainted with hallucinagenic organisms.
I'd honestly have to think it's in like, a third world country.
And dabbler why not be a baby then you could take back past things in life????
Yeah true I guess so....(Man I wish there was a way to turn pangea into a post as such because it would make a good talk I bet and learn a lot we would.)
Actually just becoming a child again wouldn't undo anything you've done in life.
