Also remember that 100 % of these bids and/or donations go to the center. Another attractive feature of charitable giving to a 501 (c) (3) is that it is tax-deductible for American citizens.
I have personally sent $5 to the paypal address listed above. I mentioned seeing the ad on Vampire Rave. It will obviously take a few days to clear.
The winner of this auction will receive a letter from the Center written by me, personally. It can serve as receipt toward your tax deductions.
I wanted to tell you what the $32 amount right now could do at the Center...that is enough to put together 3 packs of school supplies for 3 children of low income families.
It is enough to buy 1 unit of Angel Food to supplement the non-perishables we give away. That would feed 1 person for 1 month.
It is enough to buy over 7 gallons of gas to get someone to work and the doctor.
It is enough to pay 2 nights of State Park fees for a homeless family to have a safe place to sleep.
Thank you to everyone who is bidding on this item. It will make an immediate difference in the lives of hurting people.
Everyone who donates, not as part of the auction, will also receive a letter of recognition for their kind gift.
No way!! A VR t-shirt signed by the Prince himself?!?! O.o
*SIts down to catch breath*....
Ok, next t-shirt bid, $40.00
Dammit Bones ,you drive a hard bargain.
However,I do have plans for that shirt..
100.00
Sabrina: Please could you clarify? The bidding for tee-shirt has already reached $100.00, so do you mean you wish to place a bid at £105 or, do you wish to leave a donation of $5?
Wow. You are all so beautiful. Thank you for being so generous!
I'll be at the VR meet up in New Orleans and will gladly make a donation to the cause.
That is awesome thankyou DD!!.... please could you indicate the amount of donation in the thread, so we can keep a running total of the funds raised? The paypal address to send donations too is listed above :)
Auctioneer looks around the room and asks, "Any further offers?"
Joli has had to head out for a while, but before she went she has left his message in her journal for all of us to read. :)

My assistant director came into my office and found me crying at my desk. She immediately started asking what was wrong, her voice alarmed. I told her to listen while I read something to her.
In message, Emaerald asked me how I felt about the auction. I answered about how pleased I was. She then told me about members who have come forward with 3 more ideas to raise money and awareness for the Emergency Center and Food Bank where I work.
I have never asked for money here. Not once. But you would be amazed if I shared with you the off-the-record requests that have happened here where a member would ask me in message if they could give a small gift. Sometimes that gift is money. Sometimes it is time, a gift at art to help with fliers, sometimes the patience to build a website, or to send much-needed new computer equipment. A small gift, they say..."I don't have much to give, but I'd like to help in the way that I can." That always makes me smile because everyone with a heart to give believes that their gift is small. Only people who give for the wrong reasons ever cite their donation as large.
There is no you. There is no me. Not in this. I believe that your fingerprints and prayers are all over the work I'm blessed enough to do. "Thank you" seems a little thing. Please try to know how much I mean it. I'm willing my thank you to somehow cross miles and white text to convey the gratitude I feel. Your financial help is the least of what you have given. You have offered affirmation after affirmation to me that this work matters. I believe what we do together has eternal value.

I would like to say that Auction is continuing, due to the generosity of Bones, he has very kindly offered the teeshirt for re-auction in effort to raise more funds for the Centre. Thankyou Bones!
