To all the people that are out there that believe in ghosts or spirits. I'm wondering where is the most haunted place you have ever been and if you wouldn't mind sharing with everyone what happened there.. Plus if you do believe and you go out looking for places of that nature do you look into the place first or just go.

a nursing home i worked in

I was doing my rounds and i saw my mum ( from behind)

when i went back downstairs she was sat there

I nearly freaked out

she asked me what was matter and i just passed it off

2 mins later, the lady whose room i *saw* her going tinto, buzzed for help

we both went up & the lady said to both my mum and i, what arwere you doing in my room mary".meaning my mum...

she just said, i wasnt in your room sweetheart....

we both went back downstairs...

I told her what i had seen....

5 mins later, another lady of the nursing home buzzed...

the same thing again ahppened

I had to tell her.....(my mum)

she was amazed as earlier that evening at her home,her house.

she had seen what looked like me walking upstairs...

my mum isnt here any longer but it sure as hell freaked us out.....

in grand rapids on holiday hill.. i went into an old victorian house and seen an old indian man come out from behind the wood stove and stare at me..

just my houses, have seen faces looking around corners at me. kinda freaks you out no matter how many times you see it. and have seen it in every house i have lived in except my first house that i owned on my own. all the others though and and apartment and my parents house. a little strange if you ask me.

What about possessions, would that count as a ghost encounter?

Because not only have I seen ghost in action, I have been possessed by them, well one in particular, the ghost of the alien that could have crashed at Roswell, I am told I channel it. I am still a bit skeptical (well more then a bit). I have also performed with poltergeist.

I actually do a little amateur ghost hunting on occasion. Usually before I go out, I look into finding info from other hunters in the state as to their experiences in the location; ghost hunting is much more fun if the area has a reputation for being active. We usually look to acquire EVP or photos. Last week we visited a local cemetery about 1 am. No we didn’t enter the gates; I think that is disrespectful so we did our research from the surrounding area. We didn’t get any EVP, but did acquire numerous photos with ghostly images or faces within them. They are very interesting indeed and we will be making a return trip.

As per haunted locations there is a canyon where I used to live that has a reputation for being creepy. Personally I think the area is most likely where Chief Tintic’s tribe had their burial grounds but I’m not positive about that. We went there when I was younger to party one night. We had a fire going and soon got bored. We put the fire out and headed out of the canyon. We noticed an orange glow and turned to see the fire was again going as if someone had stoked the flames and standing around it was six dark figures. They looked as if they were wearing cloaks; of course the four of us ran like hell and didn’t look back until we got back to town. Others have experienced similar disturbances in that canyon…..I like to ghost hunt, but even I would never go there to do it, the ground is bad, or sour.

well it was at my friends house an we was sitin in his front room watchin tv an we heard a noise an we looked an seen baby bears wit glowin red eyes lookin at us

All the time everywhere... have had to gift scents i was 6.. kinda hate it at times...

My house. I hear the spirits walking around and opening and closing doors all day

My own house. I had a ghost that would follow me wherever I moved to. My husband at the time saw some of the things she would do. My daughter also saw it. She loved playing with things & moving things to different locations in the house. One time after I was living on my own did she show herself to me. I described her to a friend of mine that is an artist & she drew a picture of her. I hung it on the fridge door. A face started to appear in a corner of the drawing. But, I guess she feels like she doesn't need to watch over me anymore because I very seldom feel her presence her anymore. I do believe that she pops in from time to time to check on me.

A nursing facility I worked out . We were doing our rounds and we always felt like someone was watching us on this one hall. Which was the Alzheimer's Unit... We were filling ice pitcher for the patients and we went into this ladys room and when I went in the room there was a man sitting on the bed and I ask my partner that night why they were rooming a man with a woman that was unusual... She told me there hadnt been a man in that room in a year. I looked back and he was gone. She asked me what he looked like and I told her. This was my first week on the job. And she said I described the man perfectly as the one that passed away there the year before. Wierd things were always happening there.

Can people admit that their imaginations allow others to spook them? It is the same imagination they let others entertain.

oohh yea all the time.. i work with people all the time that feel that they have something in there home and want me to come investigate..sure enough nothing there...

I will be the first to admit that I thought my imagination was running away with me. But when you are not the only one who has witnessed things then not everyone can be wrong.

A friend and I got locked in a old barn house...some years back a little girl went missing and her clothes were found near where we got lock in.... wasn't a nice thing!!

my fathers old apartment was haunted

I don't believe in ghosts or haunted houses...but I think I saw the spirit of my mother 1 week after she died.

My grandparent’s home - it’s currently rented out to a young family, but they have been complaining about seeing an elderly man walk up and down the hall way or the rocking chair we left behind, would start rocking on its own. They gave a pretty good physical description of my pop too, having never seen or met him while he was alive....

I've never had a ghost encounter.

And my Papaw's old house was supposedly haunted..and my grandmother's house was haunted.

there is a ghost here that is always going up and down the stairs. Also have seen a guy walking around outside on the property. We also hear knocking on the door late at night. We found out the house is haunted by a old man, a child, and a motherly woman .

Wow, i suppose i should add my own here lol.. I have two that really stick out.. First i'm not sure if it was a ghost or what it was but i'm pretty sure i was sleeping.. My favorite aunt in the world passed away in 92 and i had went to stay at her home a few weeks after she passed and like i said i'm not sure if i was sleeping or awake but i swear i saw her walking down the hallway and telling me that everything was going to be okay and everyone could go on.. Second was in my old childhood home. I woke up at about 2 am one morning to seeing a small child's silouette at the end of my bed. I kicked at it and it dissapeared so i got up to see what it was and there was NOTHING there.. Still makes me quiver lol..

These high traffic ghost encounters, one question, where are those cameras? lets get a tripod mount and alternate cameras running in over lapping time relays. The only time I was caught on video the damn sighter had the cap on his camera.. I rattled a wall, and slammed a door. some of these self proclaimed ghost hunters couldn't find Casper on TV yet alone a ghost...

i went to fort wayne indiana to the actual fort wayne.. when you walked down the sidewalks it felt like someone would push you off the wooden sidewalk, and soundebd like footsteps behind you..

I very definately beleive in 'ghosts' and spirits. Only because I've had numerous encounters with them. Generally they are in the vicinity of my home or property, as thats where I am most frequently. But there were also three spirits in my former workplace. These three were still around from when the place used to have a hotel built there.. Two murdered lovers by the womans jelous husband, and a suicide case. Or at least thats what everyone says.

I don't go out looking for things like this though, as it deeply disturbs me. I'd rather just be left alone to my life, without spiritual disturbances. Which is why we have five cats.

There is a place here that is called "Hells Gates". Its called this because at the entrance of the place it has been said that you can actually see a battle between good and evil. Yes, its a cemetary. There have been sightings of spirits or ghosts that wander the grounds but nothing harmful from what I have seen.

There is also a house in town that is supposed to be haunted. But no one can ever get into the house to find out for certain. I have not been there to the house but have seen a light on in the house from the road. the funny thing is that the house is empty, no one lives in it.

Theres a place in the town right over from mine that has a similar thing like that. Only the bottom part of the house is inhabited. The attic is locked up tight though, and yet there is lights and a rockingchair in the window that moves. Its really creepy.

I don't think spirits can be harmful though, so no, there probably, and hopefully, wont be any harmful events at that graveyard you're talking about.

A hot spot again.. where are those Cameras?

Dabbler, everyone in my area has tried to take pictures of hells gates but none of them come out. You can it in the camera as you are snapping the picture and then when you go back to look at it its gone. Like it was never there to begin with. Almost like someone was playing games with your head.

I have caught things on camera pictures.. In the last apartment i lived in my little boys room was a high traffic area of ghosts. He acutally spoke to many of them.. But everytime i would try to tape in there the batter would run dead.. I managed to get the rocking horse moving once with noone on it but then the battery went dead. So sometimes no matter how much you try you are not going to be able to get it taped.

In my old house the ghost would make itself known

Mostly during christmas time.

It was cool.

As a ghost myself, I can understand why the battery drains.

Most would dismiss any footage as Just another Youtube effects footage tape any way. There are some funny ones on there.

my house, me. i have a little child that follows me around, and i don't know if it is good or bad. in my room and my little brothers room weird smells have appeared. something grabbed my doorknob and shook my door when i was the only one in the basement, my brothers room is the hottest and coldest room int he house depending onthe season. shadows, creaks....i don't konw if it is good or bad....

about two months ago i was walking down the staies on night it was very dark then all of a sudden i felt some thing trip me and i feel.i am pretty damn sure it was the little boy ghost who my mother warned me about.
he likes to trip people late at night.
so i try to avoid the staris after 10pm.

The house I'm in now is haunted.
We get lights turning on by themselves, but not off...kinda weird.
We get weird noises when any one of us is alone.
We had a window open by itself one day...that one was kinda weird.
I don't know much about it, but apparently there was a murder-suicide in this house. I would love to know more, but that's not something you really want to ask your landlord about, their grandparents deaths...

The most haunted place I have ever been is inside the depths of my very own mind ;o)

My sis...meanmelissa...and I went the Chickamauga Battlefiels at about 1 am. It was just us and our cell phones that mysteriously stopped working and 2 lighters that barely would work. We parked and got out and walked up the tower that is usually locked at dark, but for some reason was left open this night. It was very dark and we couldn't see. We managed to get to the top after climbing the spiral staircase. When we reached the top we could hear horses, but there were none around. Then we heard voices, but no one was there. We decided it was tim to get out of there. When we finally made it down after stumbling half the way, we ran to my truck and as we started to get in, we could see someone standing up top that wasn't there before. I wanted to see who it was but sis wanted to leave. So we took a road that led us to a parking lot on the other side of the tower, and I swear we were alone. But out of no where 5 cars appeared and one chased us completely out of the park.


that is only one of the scary times we have had there. There has been many more.

I think that a place bieng haunted has a lot to do with what happend there.. I belive the more violent or sad the history the more likely it is to be haunted..

well when my Gpa died the following Sunday My dad was sitting at the kitchen table and at the other end was Pipe smoke rollin in the air, he said it was his dad and he was talkin to him... I believed it and still do, I smell my moms favorite cologne from time to time and I know she is there so if that all counts yep ghost encounters LOL

along the banks of the erie canal in upstate new york is a very spooky place to visit....at night you can hear and see things that you just cant explain away, we have all heard the old story of someone driving down the road and picks up a hitchhiker has a conversation with the person for a little while and then they dissapear out of thin air....their are many variations on that same story along the canal.

ive been to a place called the satanic church.. its a floater.. they say its never in the same spot .. ive been there one, i couldnt find it the second time.. i dont know if i got lost down the two track or if it was really moved.. it was kinda freaky.. claw marks on the door, and strange writings all over the front.. it looked ancient.. i guess every town has a story or two to tell.

the most haunted place for me was amityville. i went there on a trip with soe friends. unfortunatly one of us didnt make it home... accident near the house itself. os tragic.

nursing home story:

i was working the misnight shift and one room dow hall 2 only had one person in it... she never used her call button and didn't like it on her in the night so we woulf hang it over her bed rail..... one night the call light went off we went down to see what she needed... she was sound asleep and her button was on her bedside table the other bed was empty.... and that call button was on the bed and pushed in......

im a ghost hunter so i go to many place but san antiono TX is the most haunted palce iv been to there so many place that are haunted i went to the old mental hosptel and that was sacrry even for me we got to the 4 floor west wing and there was 666 all over the walls and doors then in a corner we saw soem thing croched down as we got closer it looked up at use it had red eyes and was black as night we never saw a body just bacl it charge for my cam man and we got out of ther as fast as we could!!!

Ive lived in several houses that were inhabited by spirits.. probably the most powerful one was when my daughter was 4. She use to talk to the walls all the time and often I would look over my shoulder as I thought I would see something. When she wouldnt sleep in her bed I did some investigation as it was a family own apartment building. Found where he bed was happened to be the spot where someone was killed.. when I moved her bed she finally slept there. After purifying the house with sage and explaining to the spirits they could live with us but they had to leave my daughter alone. Thats when she quit talking to the walls.

most places I feel do hold some "snapshot" of previous residents..

i have many right in my apt i been trying to find and answer why there here, but nothing.

i also heard a spirit say mine and cry in the corner saw alittle girl with a blue dress vanish

There's an old hospital a few towns over that seems to be rather haunted. I haven't been there in ages but it was rather spooky last time I was there.

There is a VERY old cematary near where i live Fallbrook to be exact.. Well it's haunted and one of the freakiest places i have ever been to at night.. During the day it is one of the most peaceful places that i have ever been.. We went in a group of people during the day one time and took pictures.. Most of the individuals buried there are children. Mind you this was during smallpox and such.. But in the pictures there are young children all around my oldest sun..

the appartment building i used to live in. it was an old crack/whore house in the 80s and well alot of bad stuff happened there over doses and several murders and rapes it wasnt a very plesent place anyways my fiance' and I always saw this dark kinda shadow vip across our living room and haerd strange noises we were not the only ones in the building that saw things and heard things either we got out of there as soon as we had a chance

the most haunted place is my mind. that's where i've seen the most spirits and/or ghosts so far. lol

What do you mean by that? You've seen spirits within your mind?

Yes i've encountered quite many beings during dreaming. Thats usually how i get symbols, and names ive never seen or heard before, faces ive never seen (or so i think anyway, or maybe have in another life?) So that's why i chose to say, my mind is the most haunted place. :)

my old apartment was haunted when I was growing up

I do not know if i wrote this before but my old farm house had a lady ghost.. I saw her only once though.. Still creepy though.

Well I totally believe in spirits for more than one reason I have had many different kinds off encontours.

I was over at my little cousins house one time and he has a creek behind his house where a civil war battle was fought. I spent the night over there one time and you can hear gun shots and cannons going off right behind his house.

If I may recall,a girl's boyfriend came onto the campus and this was before I was even born I believe,but he came on the campus to take her and I think she didn't want to go...So he shot and killed her right on the campus.

I've been in a supposedly haunted building before. Didn't have any expierences at all. At the time I wasn't even aware it had reported hauntings until someone gave me a research paper on it. Which was odd that I didn't expirence anything what so ever in the building for the 6 hours that i was in it. Everyone else around me also reported the same as I.

If there were something I probably would of tried to figure out if there was an acutal cause to the event by trying to debunk it. If I couldn't I'd probably chalk the event up to paranormal activity.

The most haunted place I have been to is a Cemetery where I used to live and there is a mosuleum ( i hope i spelled that right) and at night you could hear someone crying right in the area but there was never anyone there. It sounded like a child sobbing. It was said that it was the daughter of the man that passed. It is really chilling because the place you hear the cries coming from is always extremely cold no matter what time of year.

The most haunted place I've ever been is the place i work, some of the underground vaults in Edinburgh. There are several ghosts which people often claim to see or hear, aswell as a poltergiest which people feel. It also moves people, touches them, grabs and pushes them, and is known to drain phone or camera batteries. There is also another entity within the vaults which I think might be a 'demon' of some sort. It scratches people, actually. Quite often people come out with scratches (sometimes bleeding) on their necks, backs or legs, and sometimes burns too. Even today a young man ran out of one of the vaults and refused to return because he felt something scratching at his face.

my house is New Hampshire was haunted and my work was even worse but I think the older the structure or land the more likely you will have one.

in my rooom.

as soon as i walked in i got a cold chill down my spine.

then i sat down on my bed facing the headboard.

it felt like someone had wrappend their arms around me

not to mention my friend on the phone asked if there was a girl in the room and i said no. my friend said that she heard a female voice in the background but she couldnt make it out.

i've never really been anywhere haunted though I would like to one day. I was at my grandmas one time and I thought i saw something in the hallway that resembled a face, but when i looked there was nothing there. i havent seen it since and that was about a year or so ago.

There have been several times in my life that I have just seen people that weren't really there. Most of them have been relatives that have passed. I knew my grandmother had passed moments before my mom had called me because when I looked up in my apartment she was there smiling at me as if to say goodbye.

In my parents house which used to be a elderly care home there were several times when you would walk into a room to find an old man in it...which the first time I saw him I freaked out. Thought someone had broke in and then he vanished. My sister and mom had seen him to...
