True...human sacrifice to animals, to some blood-letting to wine. It's more PC now.

I, MYSELF USE CHICKENS... BECAUSE AFTER THE SACRIFICE, THE CHICKEN IS COOKED AND CONSUMED TO FINISH THE RITUAL...

I do not sacrifice animals or humans, but I use human blood in rituals that call for it.

I don't really use blood at all. If I have to, I'll chose to substitute it for something that'll work just as well. Sometimes the affect isn't as strong, however, it still works. If I can risk harming a human or animal life, then I will do so.

red paint? red fruit juice? red cool-aid? Dunno really. I would imagine the if you could not actually provide blood then almost anything with an intent from the practitioner would be equally measured.

I remember listening to a debate as a coven member was deciding on pros and cons for vasectomy.
It was argued for some rites of fertility shooting blanks was not what the fertility gods were after, others said as long as hes out there fertilizing the corn hes not at home filling the house with kids then the actions of the ritual are just as good to please the gods even if there blanks.lol

as for a substitute, i use pig or cow blood if available at the local meat market

well I have not come across a ritual that called for blood useage, spells that call for blood usage I stay away from. But if I were to need a substitute i would use dragons blood.

I don't care much for the sacrification of animals just to perform a ritual, nor using their blood for it.

If a human wants to use their own blood that's fine and dandy.

Depends on who your offering it too I guess.
I truly find white wine too sweet and sickly.
Mind you most harvest related sacrifices now do contain a turkey mash n gravy … also family members who fall asleep after xmas dinner with silly hats on.
Personally I would like to slaughter them to some god but that’s just me lol

How about V-8 juice? Can that be used?

It is true that as time goes by we have weakened the original ritual and used less dramatic things… like candles… where people can be screamers over color lol

Blood of the black rooster is the real thing to use and the only one, when it comes to any kind of rituals, especially summonings. You have to cut its head off first, and draw a large pentagram with its blood. After that, initiate your spell, or summoning, standing in the middle of course. Have in mind that all these types of summoning are going directly to the dark lord him self, every form of magic, mystic, or occult, is an illusion, and with that, it springs from him. He is its creator and firm supporter. Illusion is his thing. If you are not able to make your spell bring a result, you are probably not good enough. If you fail to draw a large pentagram from black roosters blood, than, you need more skill as well. All together, such blood, is the only functional authentic thing, which would work in such way, and the only authentic thing that is mostly available to ordinary city folk. You can pretty much forget about using your own blood, or some such thing of imagination, first, because your own blood doesnt seem to be worthy in any way, and with that not functional to the purpose, second, these kind of beliefs came to be because certain recipes on how to do a certain thing got lost with global changes, and people are inventing new approaches out of that, which really seem not to be functional in any way, but that one of a role-play nature.

I use red whine, but I make sure it has no yeast in it.
so it is pure as blood and can embrace any essence I want it to embrace.

Just a thought but has anyone ever tried using red food coloring or catsup something along those lines?

None of mine has ever called for blood. Red wine was what I have used.

i dont think it really matters what blood you use, cause when it comes down to it, blood is blood.
