After reading the thread on Balance posted by Warriorinhell, a question occurred to me about balance on a planetary scale. As in, if one person is balanced out by another on an individual scale, what about the earth?
Is there a natural counter balance for the planet such as, is all life on the planet connect to it and if so, in the process of evolution, we have lost the ability to ‘connect’ to the earth, as apposed to the animals that seem to be able sense that there’s a disturbance well before an event such as an earthquake, storm etc.
Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I haven't seen anything in a search.
Very interesting question MysticTraveler.
I feel that there is a balance to Earth and to the people that are on the planet. But I also feel that the animals are more connected to earth than most humans are. Like in your reference to animals knowing something is wrong before we do. We can also feel this if we are more grounded to Earth.
Yes I would have to agree, animals really do know whats going on before we do.
I believe there is a balance and i also agree that animals know better then humans.
I believe there is a balance on the planetary scale. The earth goes through periods of life, global warming, ice ages, having to balance itself out.
At one time humans in general may have been more connected to the earth when they were more dependent on its natural resources and cycles of life. Animals tend to depend on that cycle of life and are going to be more aware of what the earth is going through.
When the planets align all of them that's seems really calming or makes everyone kinda berserk.
Also the planet alignments are used in so many rituals, it's possible that its used as a time of peace.
The planet Earth is supposely starting to tilt on it's axis.
Where I live I barely see a bumblebee or a lightening bug.
The trees in my area have a diease and are dying. Still the grass grows green and flowers pop out.
I just wonder is the balance of nature shifting?
some say the story in genesis: the tree of knowledge represents a metaphor of us disconnecting from our animal selves, the snake may represent dna encouraging our animal selves to adapt to agriculture instead of hunting and gathering..
thus we lost that connection to the natural environment... but we see the more natural lives we live such as native and indigenous people they begin to regain those lost senses
I beleive that we have lost whatever connection we had to the earth, and most of us are unaware of it. And those of us that are aware of it are trying to get "re-connected" or back in tune with the Earth and nature.
I don't know if i completely agree with that. I just believe that we ignore the feeling we have most of the time. I believe that we do sense more but we choose not to pay attention to it. Think about the way we must have survived before we developed all the technology that we used today.
Now we believe that we can survive things so we don't have to leave areas for safer surrounding anymore. I don't think we have lost the connection I just don't think we pay attention to it anymore.
hmm, MysticWinds has a point here. With the way things are changing as far as nature goes and things going on the earth. I wonder too if you are not right and that there is a change in the balance of nature starting.
I do feel there is a connectedness to the Earth, that man has allowed to slip away. I also think that it’s not that the animals are more closely connected than mankind but that we have grown to the point where we are no longer the prey and have allowed our senses to dull that would have kept us in the know of changes and such.
While I do not feel we are being good caretakers of our home I also want to point out that changes in climate and plants have occurred over time as the planet ages, i.e. the ice age, so the change may not all be caused by man’s pollution.
Every living thing affects every other living thing. It's like the Butterfly Effect, or Chaos Theory. If there's a negative side, there must be a positive side, i.e. balance.
If I drop a wrapper on the ground, and a dog eats it and starts to choke, and the dogs owner stops in the middle of the road to try to get it out, and a driver swerves to miss them and runs into a house, and their oil is leaking, and an electical wire lites it on fire, and the forest behind the house is burned to cinders, that affected the balance of that area.
If someone else drops a wrapper, and I see it, thus causing my dog scenario to never happen, that also affects the balance: the forest is around for a while longer, the dog doesn't die, the house is unharmed and the driver has no damage done to their car.
Everything affects everything.
Everything really IS a circle of life...the Earth relies on us (life) as much as we rely on it. I do feel that most free roaming animals are more int ouch with the earth but that is to be expected.
How about this, what if there is another matching planet to balance the earth in the universe? I read a book a very long time ago that was set on earths twin planet. It was exactly opposite earth. That's why it hadn't been discovered. Ok, maybe this is off topic, but I thought that was interesting when the idea of balance was brought up.
i read something like that too it deals with fractal geometry and the theory that the universe is like a crystal, and to know whats going on over on the opposite end of the universe we just have to look here
Animals always seem to know/ sense stuff way way before we do.. i say get a animal.. lol
there would have to be some balance. we live in an infinty uniaverse. so if omething bad happens some where else in the galaxy it would have to effect us some how
Even a perfectly balanced spinning object will precess.
Precession... symmetry... Newtons laws of motion...google it.
Planetary balance is a nessary for us all , animal, plant human, all things of life and nature. the planets work on an axel if you will and when it becomes unbalanced then everything is out of whack.
Animals are intune to the planet and its changes far more than we are, at one time we humans were just as intuned yet over the years of evolution we have lost our senses and our balance with the planet. sad yet true.
With out planetary balance we would and we will experience severe changes on earth, tidal waves, hurricanes, global warming (which is happening ) all because the balance is becoming less and less.
Some people are still very aware of the changes and intune or in balance with the earth and can reckonice the changes way before others do.
So yes I feel planetary Balance is an essential to our very existance, just an opinion .
keptdarksecret, what you say is true in fact that balance is need for all things on mother earth, yet to me what you have described is somewhat happening now with the diseasters here on mother earth, some claim that the tsunami that hit knocked the planet off just alitlle causing this inbalance. balance is always been know by common people, balance of light and dark, and the living and the earth, i think that this world would be in total chaos if this was changed.
I think animals are more attuned to nature and the environment because for them it's a a matter of survival--instinct and heightened senses for them can be a matter of life and/or death. It's also a matter of genetics and heredity.
Perhaps when prehistoric man was around, due to the fact that they too had to depend on and live with nature to survive, their senses were more attuned to what was going on. The also appreciated and did not take for granted what nature had to offer.
I wouldn't say that all humans are not still attuned to things--there are still those out there who are gifted with heightened senses--but to keep these senses honed, they need to use them. As well, I think those who are born into, learn and/or follow the path of nature-based religions, lifestyles and paths are more apt to pick up on things that most of do not--as long as they keep using them.
It's not a matter of not having the ability, but a lack of interest or need.
Alot of good point ave already been made. Things are just changing, now everyone wants to go Green.... granted its better late then not at all, but with all the major weather changes that occurring right now, is it even a possability to change anything to help at this point ? Last night me and my girl friend were just out looking at the sky and I can remember 20 years ago being able to see tons and tons of stars now.... it just seesm so dark. I agree the animals are going to be th first to really feel and sense the changes. Its like how the seasons are changing as well. Here in NY the last year has been insane, We had 60 degrees in January. Everything is just off balance , its pretty scary.
These are all fantastic responses and some have certainly made me look at things in a different light.
Thankyou all:)
P.S keep the idea's flowing, i have feeling wer'e not quite done with this subject yet:)
Hmm, cadrewolf, you bring up a very interesting point. What if soemthing did do this to the earth? I wonder just how much the balance would change or what would happen if the planet itself changes the balance of everything that we know now? If mother earth was to change what we know now, how would this effect the way that the people of mother earth functions?
I suppose I'm the one dissenting voice here. Perhaps I'm simply less prone to conjecture without examining the evidence but I simply see no evidence to suggest the level of importance so many seem to believe man has within the overall "balance" of the universe.
I hesitate only slightly to suggest that conjecture contrary to the evidence may be unwittingly concocted to serve man's inflated human-centric views. We're important to ourselves and thusly, attempt to displace that importance even to the whole of the universe. Yet I find nothing to suggest that if the whole of the human race were wiped out tomorrow, that it would offer any significant change to the universe. The universe would have less than cause to blink.
As far as balance goes, perhaps there is a balance as is evidenced when we create any imbalance. Fill a bowl with water and shake it. Then watch what happens. For every peak in the water, there will be a depression. The peaks consist of greater mass than do the depressions and therefore, are subject to greater gravitational attraction causing them to be drawn toward Earth with greater intensity. The situation then reverses but with lesser disparity between highs and lows across the surface of the water. This transitioning back and forth will continue until the water finds a state of balance -- a smooth surface. Kick a rock, push on a tree branch, crush a leaf and the same kind of transitional state ensues; eventually leading to a balance. But this balance really has nothing to do with mankind or any central sentience or consciousness.
As far as the senses of animals go, we are animals. We're animals, mammals, primates, apes and humans. Our senses are somewhat muted compared to some animals and intensely developed compared to others. We have better eye-sight than most, with birds of prey having sight which is superior to our own. Our hearing is vastly inferior to that of a dog, a dolphin or an owl but equally superior to that of a snake or a spider. We sit not at the top, nor at the bottom. We have likely lost some attentive acuity in particular areas but we have gained in others. I see this as nothing more than adapting to our environment, be it, one we've developed for ourselves and exactly what evolution prescribes.
Well I agree is that was a good point. I mean with all the natural disasters that have occured more frequently over the last 10 years, I know it has been on my mind, what are our childresn futures on this planet to hold.
a shift in perspective is all that is required to start the process of positive change. thinking about the planet as a cluster of cities and countries is one thing but to think of it as a high maintenance machine then we will learn how to keep it in order and mutually benefit it from us and likewise. only time will tell if this is a possibility.
I think it`s a sea of order with huge disorder isles... it`s an equilibrium like that.
But again this islands of disorder have some islands of order too and so on...
molly makes a good point, one must look at the whole picture, only then can changes be made and things be ameliorated.
Well I must go to think of cores and spheres.
when the Universe spilled from point zero, it started expanding and formation started changing yes it did it so systematically that growth of core and ions (sphere) around it and each ion again core to its sphere such a star system and such a galaxies created, on the Gigantic Platform there is current of cosmic energy too which is so large that accross many gallaxies may be everywhere in the universe, in the veil of balancing everything keep chaging after a certain period, you can say species of monkey is man now after that this will grow any species such as demon. yet i m waiting for truth in aliens report though i checked Magi Controlled Eyes (appointed in Blue Book project) yes you are going fastly to underground cities with underground trains connecting them with the speed of mac one to mac 2, the cities will be 1000 meters bellow least and more known depth is 2.5 miles bellow. this will be the next era.
I meant to say element planet wont bother any act done by any species, its the natural act and formation of it under the universal formation.
