so i want to get more blood out of my donor, but i dont want to harm them to much... ive been making an X on the back of my donor's shoulder. i read somewhere that it was the safest... should i just cut a little deeper or what? what are some of you guys preferred feeding method and maybe you could give me some tips???
I would stress caution in the advice that any member chooses to give in this thread.
While blood letting is theme of vampirism, it is still dangerous and in cases, illegal.
I would suggest searching for articles on websites dedicated to this act, if you have to practice it.
sanguinarius.org does have a few and is as good a place as any to start looking.
ya ive read most of those on there, i was wondering the ways which you prefer... how i found this site was from sang.org
to make you feel at ease.....
before you find and feed a donor it is best to get these 4 tests
1. cbc (complete blood count)... includes numbers and appearance of: red blood cells, white blood cells, (plus a differential that breaks the white blood cells down into types) platelets, hemoglobin and hematocrit (the oxygen carrying component of red blood cells)
2. chem 20, (also called a SMAC, or chemical profile) ... includes electrolytes, kidney function tests, liver function tests, blood glucose, total cholesterol, etc.
3. vdrl, also know by other names ... blood serum test for sexually transmitted diseases including syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamidia, etc., but excluding HIV
4. HIV, or elisa test, followed by a western blot ... specifically for HIV / AIDS
Ewe. What I would be most concerned about is unknown diseases and viruses that people can carry. If it's unknown then there isn't going to be a test for it. Just be careful.
hey, were on a vampire site arnt we? thought this would be a good place for advice and conversations on the subject.... thought some blood drinkers could exchange advice and what not
Keep your posts on topic and polite. As pointed out this topic fits within the parameters of VR, but caution should be urged in any advice given or taken due to the inherent dangers of this practice.
I make cuts too, but I don't get that much blood out, so I usually feel crappy for a week, but still satisfied.
I might suggest a syringe. Of course you would need to do it the proper way. Use a tie to cut circulation, find a vein in the arm (NOT THE WRIST!!) and take the syringe through it. Make sure to clean the area first and have cotton swabs and a bandaid ready, then once you get the syringe full you have about a shot glass full of blood :)
i would do more research though on it so you don't poke all the way through the vein or something.
Actually the person who is doner is at high risk from infection from the saliva of the vampire, the human mouth is full of the most vile bacteria. I have seen the effects of these bacteria and it is something to consider. Cutting and sucking is a high risk way of obtaining blood, and it produces very little blood.
The vampire is at high risk of being infected with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, to name a few. Also the risk of syphilis, and gonorrhea are present. These risk factors must be seriously condidered when exposing yourself to BIO HAZARDS on purpose.
After considering all the above also you still want to be a vampire, and cut and suck someone, you are guilty of aggravated assult on the person who is your doner, as well other charges if the donor is under 18 in most states. You only risk arrest if the donor, or the state acting on the best interest of the victim/doner, decides they don't like what you did to them.
Thinking that if a person is disease free because they carry their lab results in their pocket and can certify they are free of communicable disease may be the ideal, but even then they may have picked up something since the test was run.....
there isnt any more danger than having sex with some one.... if you do it safely and know your donor everything will be alright...
i understand all the safety required, and i use sterile blades, and clean and bandage the cuts properly( i am first aid certified) besides all the safety i was asking others what their preferred methods are, and maybe we could help each other out...
XTCraver:

some info on drawing from veins. where do you usually cut your donor at?
darkXwhisper: wasnt trying to be defensive
lol im curious, what did "vampires" do in the past before this site http://www.sanguinarius.org/ was formed? I guess taking blood from another willing donor wasnt illegal back then. o.O
But anyway...onto the thread question, I think you are doing just fine by taking the precautions that you are for your own safety. Just use some common sense is all it really sounds like.

You know, this is a vampire site- but nowhere will you find that this is dedicated to the modern human vampire. As a matter if fact, you can find more vampire myth and legend than anything else within these halls. Don't be shocked if you find tons and tons of people not into or interested in blood drinking here.
This site is also PG13, and we don't teach 13 year olds how to bleed and feed. So you will have to expect some hesitation. Sure, sangs are on this site- but we are so not exclusive to that. Be mindful.
I would not only agree with stabb and do lots of research but i would also stress safety first.. do not jump in head first with out knowledge..
huh, so is it inappropriate to talk blood drinking technique here?
VR forums are for discussing vampire and dark network topics- so naturally sang feeding falls into the category. Others in this thread are merely pointing out that this website is also a PG 13 site. Suggesting any illegal acts also violate VR's TOS so please be mindful of that while posting.
..... i see... what i meant is letting the donor cut themselves(not assault).. any one try fire cupping, or drawing from the veins?
blood play and the law good article
http://www.sanguinarius.org/articles/bloodletting_and_law.shtml
Syringe and a bottle of fine wine, take from clean person place into bottle of wine … enjoy
tried something like that once, but it was wine, vodka and blood
you have to be careful to if you cut in the wrong place you could kill the donor. i really wouldn't ask for more but take what i can get. greed leads to trouble
Anything I have to say about this can be found on Sangi's site. I wrote an article published there about 4 years ago, it can be found in the tips section where the rest of the info on sang feeding can be found. This is not where I would give out such info to children who also read stuff on this site.
Well from my expierence, safety wise: I make sure my donor is clean, as in, tested for stds, other things, ect.
And as far as how to get more blood, well, the x is a pretty good way. Or I sometimes make many small, shallow cuts in an almost plaid looking pattern on the back of the leg. Odd, maybe, but it's effective. Plus the feel of the cuts on your tongue is nice. :)
DemianA: ive read a lot of sang.org's stuff (i found this site from that one) could you message me the title of your article?
malfaisant: might have to try your method....
ive also found getting my donor drunk thins out the blood... makes them more willing too
Glad you read some of what http://www.sanguinarius.org/ has to offer. Your biggest concern should be the comfort of your donor. Just my opinion but if you are getting drunk with your donor (not saying that you do) and you are the one cutting - it's just not a good time to do this activity. I hope you find a way that suits both you and your donor. Good luck.
What a friend of mine tried was to poke a small hole in her arm with a piercing needle and let me drink that way.
But, little can be done about drinking more from your donor. Don't get anyone killed. Jesus Christ!
Seems like mixing the blood with alcohol, while a heady and interesting mix (my grandfather did this with goat and sheep blood), would "kill" the energy that sangs seek. The fresher the better, freshly pumped, so to speak.
Otherwise, wouldn't menstrual blood work?
Before I get a lot of ewwww's, why not? Blood is blood, and it's warm, once thought to be a magical source of "life energy."
I was about to say what blood mother just suggested. Also, the needle works, or even better, the stick diabetics use. You get a clean needle each time. Set to deepest setting.
Drink from the female fountain of youth... anything else is just a substitute.
go figure, but personally i find nothing wrong with the topic myself as long as it provides some kind of wisdom and truth for us sangs,i am always interested in hearing from others myself.
personally when feeding i am always cautious and never feed to much on a donor, that would just be wrong, and i do believe in using clean instruments such as razor blades, scalpol or syrenge depending.
BloodyJack: her being drunk is her choice.. she prefers it.. comfort is very important to me.. been talking to her about using syringes soon because of it
Bloodmother: my personal belief is that the pranic energy is stored within dna cells, so i do agree about the energy being destroyed in the alcohol... about the menstrual blood.. yes the energy is there, but just like food... you wouldn't want me blowing my load on your burger right? just personal preference.. i have heard of others using that method though..
TepesEnigma: please tell me more about the diabetic needle please?
There is an instrument that Diabetics use to check their blood sugar. To do this, they have to get a blood sample. They using this pen shaped instrument to prick their fingers, and get a drop of blood, to place on their testing strip. The instrument has a depth setting, usually between 1-5. 1 being the shallowest setting, 5 being the deepest. You place a small needle on the end of the device. The needles come individually packaged. You twist the plastic end off the sterile needle, and put it in the device. Screw the end in place. Choose your depth setting, pull the device back to cock it. Push the button, and the needle goes into the body. This way, you select the depth. You can not go to deep, the needles are sterile. The device is small, easy to carry & use. You can place the needle over a vein in the arm or leg. The incision is small but precise. Done over a vein, it is easy to get blood, with the least discomfort to the donor, least physical damage to their body, and with the slightest risk of anything going wrong. 9 times out of ten, when finished, the donor wont even need a bandaid.
Finding donor's at established vampire house reduces the risks that many people have made reference to, in earlier posts. Nonetheless, all lifestyles have risks (i.e., drinking, smoking, sex, walking across the street, ect...), it is just wise to make informed choices. The vampire houses will be able to show you different technics for feeding as well, without the prejudical attitude that many people on the vr possess.
A friend of mine has diabetes, and like Iam noted - this instrument only produces a few drops of blood, but I have to say, TepesEnigma, that is probably one of the best descriptions of a diabetic lancet that I've seen.
Try here bro..

I personally dont think that if we talk about our ways to feed it may result in young 13 years old boys or girls doing something stupid.. not necessarily...
i think it´s important that all the questions can be answered in an appropriate way...
Iam... i can tell you that i normally prefer the cuts... of course totally consensual... i think it´s safer for the donor... they cut themselves ... now... what i really like most is biting... i have some metal pieces that i put on my canines... that help me to sank a little in their flesh... specially the lower neck, close to the shoulder...
