Ive just made a hand carved board from wood , and going to try it out tonight. Any suggestions and or experiences with the ouija board.

I've done oujia board before.... just make sure u call upon ur spirit gaurdian before hand, and things should be ok.... I've found its easier to do this alone, because u can never be sure about ppl you might include to help summon spirits, many pretend to believe and then just joke around.....
I havent had one bad experience yet, though i take a lot of precautions, like protection spells and stuff....

Indeed, take precautions. You never know what you may be summoning. Just be safe, :)

Ok first if you have never done it before and do not know what you are doing then dont do it. Second remember if you are the one whom opens the bored (i.e calls upon the spirits) You must be the one to close it. Even if not one spirit seemes to have spoken with you. If you do not know how to close it then do not do it.

ive done a ouija board once before...i think one of the people i did it with was messing about a bit tho!?!

I have only a couple of things to say
1) dont do it
2) unless u have a good aura u will get screwed over in the end
3) the demons that u release will eventually scare you to death, or just kill you "I know of people who pissed the ouija board off and payed the price"

I did one once when I was younger... and I have an imitation Parker Bros. style board made by my friend for my birthday. I find them fascinating things but I dont know spiritually speaking what is really in them.

I do remember once when Gareth and I where using it and, as the planchette started moving really eratically, one of his candles 'jumped' off the top of his wardrobe.

Im not bullshitting. That happened. But Im more prone to see it as coincidence, that the condle just happened to fall at that moment.

oujia is nto a joke, for one thing, the spirits called there are powerful, and if your spirit is not powerful enough you're done for, also if this spirit doesnt want to stop... what are you going to do? another thing.. this can effect your loved ones even if they are not aware of what you're doing. and lastly there are other more powerful and sure ways in which to get answers from the spirits.. such as taking the time to open up your chakras.. which in the end will be way more fullfilling

i never really realsied there was such a big risk with ouija boards...i dont actually know much about them. but after hearing what you guys have had to say about them...next time ill think twice about doing one.

k now...this is a touchy topic on a good day....and there are very few good days in life....
channeling is tricky and potentially dangerous in optimum situations....with all the right precautions.....
and a ouija board is channeling without all the precautions...even if you think you have them in place....ever call a party line....you know you just call up and talk to whomever happens to be on the phone...well that is a ouija board.....it is the party line of the spirit world.....I myself am only a novice.....but I have heard thwe topic come up a lot with those who teach others....and there seems to be only one universal I have heard amongst occult teachers......and it concerns ouija boards....and the advice is just fucking don't.....and the topic gets dropped soon after that...

I have to disagree a little bit with Daermon, although not wholeheartedly.

There is nothing inherently good or evil about ouija boards (any more than there is anything good or evil associated with a handgun, for example).

The object does however, allow lesser entities to come through... As a result, you are much more likely to contact one of them.

There are things that can be done to ensure a good experience. I like the fact that you made your own board... That's always a good first step.

I deal with a lot of oddities from the occult. My suggestion to you is to preform a banishing spell when you're finished to make sure there's no spooks left behind.
Smart move by making your own, it will be twice as powerful as anything made by
Parker Bros.

Thank you people for the many suggestions. I have not tried it out yet. I have although done quit a bet of reading from posts and messages, I would recomend looking on searches for channeling boards. A lot of history, legends, religions, and people are making a lot of custom boards to peoples personality trates, check it out!

...i've collected a few boards in my time, and like to use them now and again, tho it's been awhile. i think an important thing to remember is to have good intentions when talking to spirits or entities. leave the bad juju in the other room.

... i have had some pretty weird experiences with the ouija: candles go BLOW out in a draftless room, planchets fly off the board and across the room, strange human shaped shadows where there were no people to cast them, and changes in temperature in a room where there was no explanation for it.

...i think as long as you "clear" yourself and have no malice in you towards/for those who you call forth, then you should be ok.

Well that is one of my problems Paramour, I have/had the intention of trying to contact a spirit to find a lost cache of money, Yes sounds greedy. But I have read spirits have great knowledge of these things. And in the past I have tried scrying over many of objects. Like magnitized mirrors, bowls of black ink and etc... So I have made this elaborite board and many man hours of crafting that seems to just sit there and have no use! But I posted this manly to here if it is addictive, Because I feel it wanting to be used not just a since of missused talent. But the more I know the better off I am so once again thanks for the beliefs in this clouded subject.

I truly am a dark soul by blood, meaning my psychic Mama gave me Ouija Boards as toys to play with from a very young age. My Aunt ( mama's sister) was also psychic and read crystal balls, Tarot cards and held seances with me starting at about age 14 so it's all a apart of my thought process... third generation is what I am and yes my daughters share my sight...

...i guess it could get addicting - especially if you became obsessive about it, controlled by it, or influenced very heavily by it. what did the 120 year old china man say once about his key to longevity? "...everything in moderation." just monitor yourself and mebbe have a close friend help you and keep an eye on you/each other. always better with a friend, imo. :) let us know how it goes!
