A continuation from my fist post. There is some wonderful and enlightening 'names' on the rave. Who do you think has the best! (if you could leave 6 names, then i will start a poll, to decide the overall winner, i just think it should be rewarded in some way) *this is not a popularity compettion*

3) Dhampir- the creator of the threads, which must inadvertantly mean that this aspect fo the rave is important to you, so its self-explanatory why you are on my list.
4) Deity- Its lovely!

...i'm of the same thoughts, AK. there seems to be alot of these type of threads. this is the fist one i have ever been mentioned on, but as i have said on another thread of this flavour, i think that we all have redeeming value for the VR. we're a big happy family. how odd to have other people i your family talk about whotheir favourites are! heehee! i like everyone's names. i like everyone here. a popularity contest thread to me is a sign of not being able to think of anything really worth while to say.

...i'm not trying to be mean, or judge or cut anyone down. but i am glad AK said something - i have been wanting to for along time. i think we should curb this type of thread in the future in leiu of more worthy discussions. just my opinion. sorry if i have offended anyone.

(to people who think this is a populartity contest) *If you look at my other post, on how people chose their names, then this will make more sence. I stressed i did not want people chosing, who was on their buddy list, but who has the best meaning behind there names so i can start a POLL on it. It has to be btter than some of the POLLS that are about here............ Like i say, i think it should be regonised.. some people actually get really involved and spend many hours thinking on subjects and such. Oh, please don't hold anything back. I would love to hear more views on this, see, the way i see it, people who take offence to populatirty votes are the ones who got picked last for the team.. Tell me i'm wrong. There's alot of people here who are very self rightous in there posts but i smell smell them rotting from the inside... (ie, say one thing and do another)

Also, another reason that IT IS NOT a popularity contest is because people need inspiration in their lives, i know that i have inspired people in my life through certain ways, Prime example of this would be Jason and I and the profile fun we are having (not to mention the other people who have been inspired from this). If i just came here and put down a few lines in my pro, it may never of happened, so by people seeing this poll, they will be inspired to give more thought about what they do and give them the kick up their ass they need to be more colourful and enlightening..... It;s all about Inspiring.. and NOT jumping onto the 'bandwagon' (like alot of people here do) to impress people...... Just had to get that off my chest .. many thanks... Evil Dhampir

My opinion. I know this is not a popularity contest, and I'm sure at least a few, hopefully a majority of the people posting are doing so with your intentions in mind, however there are some that try to make it a popularity contest. Not to poke at anyone in particular, but one comment that stands out was something along the lines of "I don't know many people on here..." That should be irrevelant to this post.... I went through quite a few pages of profiles of people I've never talked to on here before, just looking at profile names.

Hail to the Duc.. *Applauds* i and most people have gone by what they have read in my previous post, which i stated at the start to this... There's anotehr prime example of people not reading what other people have put time and effort into....

I can get on some rather brutal rants about society. I work at a carryout, so I have to put up with a large amount of alcoholic redneck assholes on welfare, not to mention the baseheads. Lots of potheads too, but they tend to be the interesting and pleasant ones.

Look I don’t want offend anyone. I was merely expressing my opinion and it was not necessarily intended as a dig on you. I do notice however, in many threads as well as this one that many people put down mindless answers such as I agree or I disagree and nothing to the why or why not, that tells me they don’t read the threads. I thought the whole point to this sight and similar sites, was that it was an out for people who are different and feel different to really be able to be themselves and step out of the box express opinions and ideas or even questions that they would like to discuss. When I see many people stating the same things that everyone else says it tells me that they maybe trying to win popularity contest that really should not even exist.
Further more when I see threads such as “do you cut” or that psycho thread about blowing up schools it makes me think that people have the wrong impression on what this, may or may not be about. I am an adult with adult minded ideas and questions; I’m not here to be an agitator or play devils advocate all I am trying to state is that no matter what the thread is read it go look if it requires you to look something up have your own opinion don’t copy someone else’s and rearrange it slightly be as unique as the name you chose because on here you wont find the same name twice.

by saying I don't know people means that I'm not met everyone yet.. For the people I posted I find intresing.. may I'm wrong in this but as I read profiles I find out a bit of people. and No. not everyone I listed is on my "buddy list". For I change how I think and why I think that way offten for my mind is constily changing. maybe you don't understand this. and I'm sorry if you don't. maybe I should wait and think so hard before I post next time.. *turns and walks away*

The point made was that this thread isn't about the person, or the person's profile, just the person's username on the site. Which just goes to reinforce points made by both Dhampir and ApparitionKnight, that a lot of people aren't putting through into their answers, and actually taking the time to really read and understand the things that people are putting their time and effort into creating.

I agree to an extent of popularity even though not meant to be in the form of such a contest. However feeling of such can be contrived as most names listed are those most frequently seen within the forums…hence ones opinion that it might well be a challenge of reputation. I myself have met very few, shared in conversation with only one person aside from the site whose name is not mentioned, as she can contest to that. Nor am I truly acquainted with or sincerely know anyone either, nor have I shared much time getting to know anyone in particular. Though I feel I have been present here for a long enough period of time and followed ones response and retorts to forum posts and been delighted by the summary left upon their profile that I have taken interest in them. There are those listed upon my list of names that simply caught my attention, and of whom surely I have followed, conversely perhaps not finest in any means a name to others, though I had found their names to be fitting to either their character or simply they conveyed a feeling of interest upon catching sight of the name.

As Dhampir had mentioned, this is in respect to a previous thread he had posted where many may visit and leave response as to where their name originated, its meaning and as to why they selected it. All are given freedom to post there and such a previous thread may well produce an effect of a thesaurus of sorts where in response to this thread can be used as guidance in reference of what “you” may believe to be an interesting name.

Your thread has definatley spawned an interesting conversation Dhampir.

ROFLMAO sorry just read the Dhamphir post about being the last person picked off the team an all that anyway no particular point of view and although it is an intresting topic of conversation is it ok if we get back to the original idea of this thread??

Jason - it's so rare to hear of a name such as this.

I was liking the original thread it self and then it became heated, ever notice how some threads do that? They become in my mind , on fire.
