nope, not in my area. I never thought to research it for this area.
I do live near a haunted are called Dartmoor. Lots of mysterious happenings go on there. I will look it up and get back to you.
*laughs at the prospect of something out of the ordinary happening in preston*

Interesting story! I had chills as I read.. will go to the link, thanks, D. As I live in the south we have lots of stories, will look a little bit...
You will come across certain accounts that will portray it in a story mode as such.. but this lady was attacked by something, this no-one doubts and they did find a actual tomb/crypt... Made me shiver too.. i need to visit this place soon... *licks lips*
There is a story about a vamp ...a few streets away from where i live ...I will run and go find it now ......*runs off to go search the net again ...*
*(seems as though that threads about Vampires belong in the reject bin so the forum can be filled with love and song threads.. What the fuck is going on around here!!!)*
this is why i don't post alot of thing for i have no real storie to tell about vamps i am still searching and hoping and i agree theres so much other threads that we have lost site of vamps
I'm from Serbia, and here almost every village has it's own myth about vampires. In a town where I was born there is an old grave with a stone crate above the earth! it's said that a crate with the body of that man would appear on the surface after burrying it, and that it happend few times, so it's believed that earth itself didn't want to accept the body of that man and that's why they left it on the surface.
And there was a case of Crop Circles a few years ago...
The age of reason kills myths!
I wonder if anything like that happened around here *goes off to google*
I must confess, it is good to see an actual 'vampire' topic again. Thank goodness I'm not the only one who thought that.
*wipes brow and sighs relief.
I'm eager to see what everyone comes up with, their own personal research from their areas about vampire stories. Great to see a spark started.
not much on vamps in Edmonton....they don't seem too prevalent in western canada at all as far as I have ever found....lots of ghosts tho...
there was a woman doing books on each province's ghost stories....she did two books for alberta.
WoW....... I feel as if I just read a book' Nice post! I think I need glasses after that.
****BUMP*****
good topics must be kept ontop
*ill answer to this thread with more time after exams*

GOOD JOB DHAMPIR!
This is really good, I cna't say as there is anything as such in this here sleepy town, but you never know ...
Can anyone tell me what are the clans? How old they are? How do they exsist? This is new to me.. Or is it all to do with the RPG ? I('m starting to think that there are actualy clans .. and not ones that have just been made up for the use of RPG.. very curious to know...
sleepy old malta... tried my best at research but the closest thing i can find is lots an lots of haunted houses... interesting but not quite the same thing.
Dhampir... the clans thing is mostly for the RPG but if you're really that interested i'd suggest you have a look at the Book of Nod and the Book of Lilith... at best they could be real, at worst they're where the RPGs all started from.
I think that this should be implemented in the main menu...
I never heard anything about clans in my folklore, a vampire was presented to me as a scary creature of the night who will drink my blood if I wasn't good! My first introduction to the clans was In the VTM: Bloodlines, helluva game, but with engine optimized as shit!
