Power Punks is pretty much identical to SciFi Section (function wise) with a couple of distinctions:
All Dark Network Groups are unique to a site. A SciFi Section Group will not show up in Power Punks and vice versa. I am writing a Group transfer tool that will allow members to move their Groups among Dark Network sites.
Power Punks's database will be a bit different. It's not up yet (it's the last section I have to finish), so what I say here is not in stone.
There will be a hero and villain database. This is a character database. Characters must exist within comic books, movies, or TV only.
There will be a comic book, movie, and TV database.
Characters are linked to comic books, movie, and TV listings.
As an example:
Heroes > Movies > The Matrix > Neo
Clicking on The Matrix brings up the Matrix movie. Clicking on Neo brings up Neo's character page.
There will be another, totally separate database, about Comic Book issues:
Marvel > Conan The Barbarian > Issue #100
Conan is the comic. Clicking on it will bring up a general description for the comic. Clicking on the Issue number will bring up that individual issue. Included will be cover art, issue details, etc.
Comic Issues can be marked as part of a "personal collection". Users can easily add and remove comic issues from their collection.
In this way, members can build up a digital inventory of what they have collected. Members can choose whether or not to share their collection details.
Numerous reports can be generated from collections. If you're surfing eBay looking for issues you're missing, it would be quicker to look at your online Power Punks collection versus digging into your physical comics collection.
As I said, some of this is still in development and as such, details may change.
