You hear things like, "because Cain killed his brother he became a vampire". Not to mention not many realize that there wasn't only Cain and Abel, there was Seth as well. Some seem to say that Seth is the one that talked Cain into killing Abel. What is your take on this subject?
well there is different stories to this but they are the same. The bible, then there is The book of Nod which starts the beginning.
Cain first Abel second,
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with Favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face downcast.
(Quick cut to)
Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Adel and killed him.
adam lay with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, "God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him.
Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh.
verry interesting will need to learn more and get back to this
most stories in the bible confuse me because sometimes the information in it is mixed up or just doesn't make sense
Hummmm........ I have never heard that Cain was turned into a Vampire.....
The bible says, "Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brothers blood from your hand." Doesn’t sound like a vampire turning to me....
As for Seth telling Cain to kill Able, Seth did not come into the picture until many years later after Able was dead.
How do I know this? I study as many religions as I can. Leaves you open to many things.......... >; )
It doesn’t say who Cain’s wife was, just that he laid with her a bore him a son.........
Cains wife, I think would have been one of the Children of Man. IE evolution.
It never says how long they were in the garden. Plus Man has been around alot longer than 10,000 years.
I just thought I would forwarn you as to the "Why's???"

I must agree with the others about this not lasting long.Religon is a big NO in the forums.
in the bible is does not mention Cain's wife name but list the name of the son that was birth from that frist wife. Enoch.
To Enoch was bron Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech.
Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the toehr Zillah,
Now the book of Nod is not true it is of something else that has taken the stories of biblical. They twist a few things here and there.
For instance It mentions that Caine first love, first wife. Sweetest of all was Named Zillah.
Yet how is that possible when his grandchilren down the line Lamech married a woman named Zillah
mmh should just make a thing where if religion is not allowed if someone was to make a reference to religion to no be able to post. Like boundries
Touchy issue. The question was about Vampire Caine and if and fact anyone had heard of Seth killing his brother Abel.
The fact that The BOOK OF NOD is a prop in masquerade Mind's Eye theatre game, or the other games. Etc.
Not truth.
seeking tales about biblical characters.
Well there's a whole different story that've heard..............
God created lilith to be adan's wife but she didnt wanted to be the "good" and "faithful" women so she quit to the paradaise and left. tehn when cain was walking alone on earth she, lilith found him and she show him the dark side of the world and she had a son, DISSAOR, the one who was non - born before the creatures of the night and also called VAMPIRE.
i mean lilith and cain, they had a child teh first one, the one that the bible doesn make refference, Dissaor, the first vampire.
yes most of the cain as vampire story is a twist on biblical from the folks at white wolf games....they stayed very close to actual stories...just giving a twist here and there to make it plausible to the religion history buffs...
but the cain and lilith having a child does predate this game system ....I also found that one quite a long time ago.....
you have to search under lilith tho....as a search under cain generally never gets too far past the bible.....
the lilith stories are from texts from the same time period....but not just the bible.
I thought the biblical references regarding anything where banned from the forum.
But let me just say.........read between the lines and you'll fine the truth.
Careful you might get confuse in the process
Old Test isnt christain thats new test...
Now since we are talking biblical reference depending on which bible what about Lilith ?
Persoanlly one foundation myth to me is as good as another.
Other than accademic study this and every conversation like it is rather moot to me. We don't know so we create out own myths to try and explain away the history of unknown rather than face that it just isnt known.
Fun to discuss but not much purpose..
My opinion worth what you paid for it
K
this is a very good subject, i am still getting more info. its a back and fourth thing on the true story..
Touchy topic.
But if you haven't read,
and you haven't experienced,
then you haven't felt
and are still in the dark.....
well another thing is that if you watch movies and read some vampire novels, there is a commonality that those that make their first kill, is turned into a vampire by curse or whatnot. I mean here you have cain that kills abel, but in book of nod his name turns into Caine? well in varney the vampire he was mr. mortimer until he accidentally killed his son, in which cursed him into being a vampire. Look at lost boys the movie, they had to make their first kill. why is that?
BTW if there isn't any arguing going on within the thread...i really don't see the problem other than people just don't like the topic. In which case, as said many times in threads, if you don't like it, don't read it or make a post. There isn't any argument here so leave it be.
You know I am really getting sick and tired of people calling my Forums taboo... when their are forums just like mine that are still active
erm...as far as I know there aren't mentioned any vampires in the bible...as far as from which bible you're reading.anyways I beleive that most things in the bible are messed up and written by mascilists who made the text as they wanted.
This started by Cain being a vampire so lets stay on subject because I am getting into this one, I am still looking into the Cain being turned into a Vampire....... But nothing so far, I know in the Bible {can we even still talk about that?} it says that you cannot drink the blood of another.
i'm flipping through the bible now and everything that glowering has said is true. maybe i'm just ignorant about this, but i have a question:
who's lilith and seth?
try a google search on Lilith and Seth was one of adam and eve's sons
btw Seth is also a name for an Egyptian "God". So if you people think about it, maybe all faiths are linked?
I read the bible alot and ive been going to church since i was little, so from what ive learned Seth couldn't have told Cain to kill Abel because Seth wasn't born until after that hapened. The Bible doesn't say he was turned into a vampire either. He was cursed, but i don't thin he ever became a vampire.
If not cain, then who? Everything has a beginning and an end. This curse first manifested somewhere, someone. Many of you may not care for it, but the Bible can be your ally in many discussion about where we come from. I would have to agree with bloodthirst. Read between the lines it's all there.
ye sometimes me too, think that religions are connected but I can't find what you're talking about, now I 'll do an on-line reaserch cause this really made me curious...
about cain being a vampire. from what i've read he was NOT a vampire he was the father of the first one, DISSAOR.
born of lilith's.
and well yes, if you want to underestand the bible you should better start reading it, dont you think?????
lol reading the bible:
why isn't the name of cains wife mentioned?
simple answer the bible is part of history or as my very feminist history teacher called it HIS story. So women were not important back then.
Reading the bible is a task i don't undertake so much because there are many omitted pages and so on and so on. yeah i read it to an point when i was younger. but i saw its far too intresting for my taste. I see it more as a guide to help us people from destroy each other more than anything.
The Old Testment is full of leasons is this story trying to teach us somthing if so what is it?
The lesson is two-fold.
First, there's the right thing and the wrong thing to sacrifice when you are called upon to do so.
Second, fratricide ain't Kosher.
Oh, and as to why isn't Caine's wife (or most women for that matter) listed in the Bible? You nailed that one, but it can be summed up best by the well-written bumper sticker:
Well-behaved women rarely make history.
9Then the LORD said to Cain, "(L)Where is Abel your brother?" And he said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?"
10He said, "What have you done? (M)The voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the ground.
11"Now (N)you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.
12"(O)When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; (P)you will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth."
13Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is too great to bear!
14"Behold, You have (Q)driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and (R)I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and (S)whoever finds me will kill me."
15So the LORD said to him, "Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him (T)sevenfold " And the LORD (U)appointed a sign for Cain, so that no one finding him would slay him.
16Then Cain went out from the presence (V)of the LORD, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
17Cain had relations with his wife and she conceived, and gave birth to Enoch; and he built a city, and called the name of the city Enoch, after the name of his son.
18Now to Enoch was born Irad, and Irad became the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael became the father of Methushael, and Methushael became the father of Lamech.
19Lamech took to himself (W)two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other, Zillah.
20Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.
21His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe.
22As for Zillah, she also gave birth to Tubal-cain, the forger of all implements of bronze and iron; and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.
23Lamech said to his wives,
"Adah and Zillah,
Listen to my voice,
You wives of Lamech,
Give heed to my speech,
(X)For I have killed a man for wounding me;
And a boy for striking me;
24If Cain is avenged (Y)sevenfold,
Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold."
25(Z)Adam had relations with his wife again; and she gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, for, she said, "God has appointed me another offspring in place of Abel, (AA)for Cain killed him."
26To Seth, to him also (AB)a son was born; and he called his name Enosh Then men began (AC)to call upon the name of the LORD.
I am reading East of Eden right now which is a story about Cain and Abel, it is a modern day re-telling, but so far there has been no mention of Seth
from what i remember, abel was a farmer an cain was a hunter an God asked them to sacrifice to him ther most prized posetion, abel being a farmer brought a lamb, cain being a hunter couldnt decide what was more precious to him...then he decided abel was more precious to him than any thing els in the world so he sacrificed him to god, like i said as i remember it, ...i could be wrong
well anyway............thank you Glowering and Monique. you've paid my reading eyes justice.
wow..i have heard that before..but i haven't ever really looked into it before i willl definitaly look in to it.....lol
Lillith has been thought to be his wife.
I knwo this is slightly taboo on the forums, but I suppose its the reaciton it gets or the answer its looking for which is the problem... often threads has denegrated into unacceptabe material, whereas this seems to be those woh are really interested in reliigon getting a chance to discuss... its still open so far, but as HellChildDami mentions, it may get closed.
try this one Ifound it in one of my occolt books
(Ecclesiastes 1)
The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher; vanity of vanities, all is vanity.
What profit hath a man of all his labour wherein he laboureth under
the sun? One generation goeth, and another generation cometh; but
the earth abideth for ever. The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth
down, and hasteth to its place where it ariseth. The wind goeth toward
the south; it turneth about unto the north; it turneth about
continually in its course, and the wind returneth again to its circuits.
All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; unto the place
whither the rivers go, thither they go again. All things are full of
weariness; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing,
nor the ear filled with hearing. That which hat been is that which
shall be; and that which hath been is that which shall be done: and
there is no new thing under the sun. Is there a new thing whereof it
may be said, See this is new? it hath been long ago, in the ages which
were before us. There is no remembrance of the former generations;
neither shall there be any remembrance of the latter generations that
are to come, among those that shall come after.
I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I applied my
heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done
under heaven: it is a sore travail that God hath given to the sons of
men to be exercised therewith. I have seen all the works that are
done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and a striving after
wind. That which is crooked cannot be made straight; and that which
is wanting cannot be numbered. I communed with mine own heart,
saying, Lo, I have gotten me great wisdom above all that were before
me in Jerusalem; yea, my heart hath had great experience of wisdom
and knowledge. And I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to
know madness and folly: I perceived that this also was a striving after
wind. For in much wisdom is much grief; and he that increaseth
knowledge increaseth sorrow.

Exactly those who 'buys the bull' are 'all licks' anyway
la la la -what?!
Well, I don't think I've ever heard of that saying... and I don't know much about Seth, so I'll have to come back to this.
I don't think it should be a reference ,it should just be taken as the total truth.
wow im really suprised this thread has lasted, i had started one before i knew about the rules of the forum regarding the same subject and it was RIPed
I don't trust the xtian bible and advise everyone to do the same ...
Have you read it completly to say that you don't trust in it?
i almost can't even comment here -happy u can be of service here Blood Thirst!
she great....i do hope the others will take the time to read and learn
'Read it all ... words just went in on one side and out the other ... All that truth ... :)
As I said .. You look for the mysteries of the Universe in a grain of sand ...
im not religious i believe the bible is a bunch of like steven speilbergs and all put there daily thought diaries together
I really wish I could put more input onto the subject it is a very interesting topic.
I am one of the people that have a hard time with reading the bible or even making reference to it because I am not sure how true the bible is. I am a skeptic I will admit it. I never even cracked open the bible to read it.
*sigh*
Sad I know..
the Bible is full of stories that may or mayn't be true i wasn't there all i can do is have faith and believe
so i guess you half to believe in something or you will fall for anything
In this case it was the result of jealousy a very deadly mix of sin and indulgence
