By my complete curiosity- created from a conversation I had this morning- I would like to ask a question...
What is your idea of the perfect vampire?
Do not state names of vampires. I want details. and why you feel that the vampire is better off the way you imagined it.
To me, a vampire is an extention of the human.
So, that being the case, Vampire's have to be better then humans at everything but MUST take a human form.
So the perfect vampire would have to be strong, fast, intelligent, rich, out-of-this-world good looking and hold a great status while living forever and never ageing. Oh, and they have to be super great at getting it on while being only dependant on blood which is conveiniently free.
Are we talking fiction than t perfect vampire would, now be affected by the sun, or any other holy relic, a perfect hunter, scholar. basic perfect hunter.
Living Vampire, we are all mortal, there is nothing perfect about them in any way, we have flaws yet they have other traits to help with their flawed ones.
Not perfection, only in ones mind.
what about their things that sre different than the others?
what is different from the ones that y'all are describing than the ones that are... more solid?
what makes yours better than the rest?
yes living vampires are humans, humans with vampiric tendiencies.
perfect teeth they are dead and rotting corpses. like it, but come on Dracula with white teeth that glistens in the moonlight.
perfect vampire, would be the perfect hunter, shapshifter, historian, everyhting in one. (fictional)
"yes living vampires are humans, humans with vampiric tendiencies."
...Your either in or out, Ham or eggs, human or vampire XD
And Edward cullen? Ugh, he's...not my type. Maybe its the daylight thing or the way he doesnt enjoy his eternal life and hunts animals not humans because he's a lovey-dovey sort of..guy O.o
Twilight series has just added an new version to the vampiric myths. we have now come into the new century, like other fables.
So now what pertection would the NORMAL humans have from the Vampire in the daylight. Huh perfect in one way

At the risk of being hated further, I think the perfect vampire is the fictional one. Personally for me I don't believe in human vampires, just people that want for things to extremes others may not. We all need, we all take- energy absorption is a fact and not exclusive to people calling themselves vampire. If we are taken away from our fellow humans and isolated- a person goes crazy. We all need it. Nothing special or different about that. So either there are no vampires, or we're all vampires. That being said, for me I cannot include a mere mortal human in my answer.
My perfect fictional vampire would be the one that rises above their needs to find ways to feed that don't involve being a typical monster. You know, the kinds of vampires that have made novels sell beyond the author's wildest dreams. Why? Because we can relate to beings with issues we have as people.
a perfect vampire is a fictional one but, i imagin one to be able to walk among the living during the day and have virtual no weakness.
All living creatures, regarding whether they are self-aware of it or not, are bound by one law. The law of survival!
That same law of survival also allows life to fall within two categories, the categories of predator or prey.
The philosophy surrounding the myth of the Vampire and in respects of “feeding” is a simple one, while we are not against the method of feeding, in regards to “willing donors”, we acknowledge that we are of the predator nature being Vampires. Thus this carries with it a life-style that most individuals including some would call themselves vampires, look down upon.
But before I share our philosophies, which are sacrosanct to our nature and to our survival, I must first share the varying genres within our realms.
Most people, especially ones that claim to be of arcane existence, are not entirely sure as to the “genre” and are not aware that there are more than one type of Vampire, so to "enlighten" those who are "in the dark" on the subject, here goes:
Never seen that here before, Aracon.
I'd like a vamp with a sense of humor and a keen sense of irony which balances the tragedy and loss she has undoubtedly experienced in her everlasting unlife.
i believe the perfect Vampire would be an extremely intellegent, wellbred person. With knowledge of the past and present. He would be strong, fast, cunning. He could blend i anywhere.
My perfect vampire would be of the Hollywood kind.
He/she would not have to kill, instead they would gather around them people who were willing to be breakfast in return for a better standard of living etc.
The perfect vampire would be my room mate. She would be careful, kind and intelligent. She would sleep all day and bring me cheeseburgers at night at work from Miami Subs Grill. She would only wear gold jewelry because she has style and class. She would be from Bulgaria. She would be super funny but subtle. She would be uber white. She would like to tend bar, but not so excited to drink alcohol. She would need someone to rub her head when she gets headaches. She would also need someone very funny around to make her laugh when she got sad about everyone she loved being dead. She would be a fierce friend if your boyfriend every mistreated you. And last but not least, she would hold your hair for you while you were puking if you drank too much vodka and errrr uh cranberry juice. yes! She would be my dearest friend.
The perfect vamp is someone totally in touch with their inner animal instincts and are able to reach down to those instincts grasp them and use them to their fullest to make their life more worthwhile.
The perfect vampire: Unquestionably evil, Attractive/Seductive in appearance, Can walk go out in the daylight, Strong and Agile, and most importantly doesn't feed of the blood of swine.. *shudders*
My personal opinion would be that I am just tired of the sickness, and things being human brings me.. I'm always sick, weak, frail.. and insecure.. And I think the perfect vampire would be someone who isnt sick, weak.. And yet be able to spend forever with your mate, and be kind, beautiful.. and be you just less frail.. Less prone to disease, such as myself..
I would rather be an immortal unable to be sick, unable to be weak powerless.. and have someone to spend eternity with not just a life time..
Now that would be me, unable to contain myself in a human form i find humanity beneath me but they are like cattle and insects. I can feed in a number of different ways depending on my mood and current energy levels, this is handy and i do not suffer the restrictions of most vampires.
The perfect vampire in my eyes would be a man/woman who is both in touch with the civilized world and the primal world. They would have book smarts as well as street smarts. They would be a very kind hearted person that is also very just. Honestly, this list could go on forever... but I also believe every one of us who is true to this lifestyle is a perfect vampire/vampyre. We are who we are and we make the world go around.
the perfect vampire would be able to resist devouring his human minions, and would ideally be a hitman so that the meals are already planned out for them. and wouldn't ever fall in love. at least not with a warm-blooded creature as things will inevitably end in heartache one way or another.
I cannot belive how varied the opinion of the perfect vampire is :S
vampirism is not the para-psychic undead phenomenan
in this whole world everythingchanges its form frequently and in must. Hence the past life become dead and present is new life. new life again death is must. so no undead yet the vampirism is the phenomenan purely related to thirst and dire. It include taste, energy and habits and even lust in incubus succubus form or sexual type of vampirism. its more than addiction. and it include some time distant feeding too which may harm sometimes supporting donors. as harmful as sanguinarian wild feeding without tools.
to me a vampire is stronger, eviler, and more smarter then a human but we can hear heart beats too and that is hell if there is alot of human in a bloody room
Well just think, when you ask a question.. Why only expect biased answer, when every person thinks different.. And thus causing us to feel differently about the issue.. Same way I said I think the perfect vampire is the ones who can not get sick, and who are not frail.. As for another mentioning them to be culturally advanced, or aware in both worlds.
A perfect vampire to me would be my definition of beautiful, interesting, have good qualities etc.
I suppose I have the same requests for a human to be perfect, though I would expect a vampire to be better at most things; sports, music etc.
But I think I would want anyone I knew to be at the same level as me anyway, and I don't really believe that anyone can be perfect.
a perfect vampire has money and looks and lures you with a glance. he speaks of wonder and nightly perfection. he or she needs no introduction because once you look in those eyes you are his/hers. he/she takes what he/she wants when he/she wants . they are mystical and godly and reek of sex. once they claim you there is no turning back. they will feed off you and love you in only the way that they know how...making you feel wonderful and sexy at the same time . never knowing they are taking your life by each drink, not caring either
maybe we should stray from the typical vamps...
I WANT TO KNOW WHY YOURS IS THE BEST!!!
if you can tell me why then, good if not, then why tell what your fav is?
The perfect vampire would,of course, be incredibly attractve to both sexes, have a perfect scent that draws you from across a crowded room, telepathy,a bite that brings one to orgasm.Oh I could just go on and on.
Vampires are sooo much better.
A perfect vampire, would be one with a soul (emotions).
Looks do not matter. Immortality would be an option. But must have charisma to appeal to both sexes.. Intellegence would probably be a nice factor to have also...
I don't think there is a 'perfect vampire'. Each and every one of us likes some aspects of vampirism more than another. Some like the mystery, darkness or romatics of it all.. others like the blood, etc.
Just like no two people are exactly alike, there isn't one perfect vampire to suit everyone.
I believe that's why he said, "What is your idea of the perfect vampire?" and not "What is the perfect vampire for everyone regardless of their opinion.".
well. jmo, the perfect vamp would have to be funny, cause honestly, if you wanna put your fangs in my neck and suck my blood, you had better be able to at least coax a giggle out of me, i don't care how good looking you are. i detest the image out there of the smoothly handsome vampire. all those sleazy come ons won't mean crap to me. i guess sincerety would be nice to.
My perfect vampire would possess the following traits:
1.) Drink human blood to survive.
2.) Possess great wealth.
3.) Be well educated.
4.) Bred from nobility.
5.) Possess extraordinary strength.
6.) Supernaturally fast.
7.) Shape Shift to any animal or element.
8.) Possess the ability to turn others into vampires.
9.) Possess exaggerated pointy canine teeth.
10.) Have no remorse or conscience.
according to the bible vampires would be far from perfect. But I believe vampires like myself are a more advanced and powerful version of humans. So if that classifies being perfect than that would be what comes to mind
The version of the perfect vampire would hold all traits to get by in the society even the abilty to go unnoticed. the perfect predator.
Ah but what is perfection but a series of opinions stated by foolish people who do not know what they are thinking about.
Perfection is unachieveable simply because there is no collective thought of what, exactly, perfection is.
One's idea of perfection is merely an opinion and fluctuates over time, with any luck. Any form of so called perfection can and will be disputed because every person's viewpoint of perfection differs in at least one way.
Should there be an incident where two people have the same idea of perfection, so be it. Unlikely, but okay, I'll take it. If that should happen, then society believes what they see on television and such. Media warps actual reality.
Media shapes the people's opinions into what the people in charge want. They want us to conform and be the same. Anyone different is shunned, and ridiculed.
As to the issue of a perfect vampyre, see about. Perfection is not available to us.
Lite
well I think Cadre (sp) and Imagesinwords got it right....
I do not actually see anything or anyone in a *PERFECT* state.
I mean if they were and I am speaking Fictional, That they were able to survive in a very mellow manner and not have to feed off of a human, Survive sunlight etc. I mean there are alot of things that mean "perfect" to each and everyone of us.
Living Vampire, are all mortal, there is nothing perfect about them in any way.
Unless your a Vampire, who knows what they would want. Maybe not be have a bad rep for killing for feeding would be one. Just as was said the movie Twilight has brought a new twist and look on a very old myth, fable etc....
Also as was said Perfection is only in ones own mind... so.... we could debate all day or give opinions on it as well yet each and everyone of us are different. So to have Perfection, is different in each of us..
Would be very boring in a perfect world of Mortals much less in a Vampiric world.
