Ok. After spending some time here checking out some forum topics and peoples answers to some of those topics, I'd like to pose a question to you all.
What do YOU think the differences are between the following:
1. Religion
2. Beliefs
3. Ideals
Pertaining only to your "metaphysical" ideals.
I am just as curious, as how people attempt to convince someone that they witness something that supports their belief. When imagination loses to sensational ideals about fiction being a visible (demonstratable) common experience. So is it believing something is super natural, or being convinced of a personally viewed demonstration?
Thoughts (Meta) Thinking, is only applicable to the metaverse (The Imagined verse).
For me they are all tied together... a lot of times your beliefs and ideals are because of your religion and your religion guides your beliefs and ideals.
But then for me, I don't always go with what my religion says my beliefs and ideals should be.
It is kind of hard to explain.
Religions grow out of our beliefs and our beliefs are founded upon our ideals, our values.

Let me see if I can put this in words...
Beliefs are anything you, well, believe in. It tends to often denote something that... isn't supported by evidence. However, it's also just a common-use word for something that you think is true or false for whatever reason.
An ideal is, to me, something that you believe to be 'perfect' in some aspect. The ideal car, ideal book, ideal state of being, they're all perfect to you, for whatever purpose.
Religion incorporates beliefs and ideals. In the case of organized religion, there is an ideal (God/gods) and the belief in them, because of some need or desire. There is also usually a set of rules that one is to obey, usually designated (purportedly) by said deity/ies. Usually, the believers in said religion strive to be more like their ideal. Certain religions, however, tell you that if you don't follow certain rules, believe in a certain deity, and strive to be like said deity, you will be punished for it. That's one thing I've never admired about religion.
Ideals can be adopted, and interchanged, beliefs are more fixed.
Religion in practice is nearly tribalism based on spiritual inclination.
The difference is how much you talk about it and what you nailed to your kitchen wall.
Ideals start meerly as passing thoughts. Little seedlings called ideas that sometimes grow into deeply dwelled upon Ideals... This becomes our own perception of the reality in which we are presented. Ideals can easilly be changed and affected by others or the infinity of situations that we face day to day... However when we become comfortable and familiar with an Ideal we begin to feel passionate about it.. At that moment an Ideal has become a Belief.. All Beliefs start out as Ideals but Ideals lack the conviction of passion that is a Belief.. People die for Beliefs not Ideals... Spirituallity fits easily in this category.... Now that brings us to Religion.. Religion is the physical manifestation of Beliefs in the presence of others who share the same at least similar ones.. A congregation with the purpose of strengthening those beliefs and learning from others and turning new Ideas into Beliefs for the good of the whole... So you see they are all connected and yet each serves its own valuable purpose... However Beliefs are personal Religion is the sharing of those personal Beliefs with others.....
I believe that our ideals form our beliefs and our beliefs form our religion.
Because our religion are based on beliefs we were told and the ideals we want our religion to hold.
Ideals are just as likely to be political, or non religious philosophy. Ideals fuel mass movements, usually by grafting popular religious beliefs.
I would say religion is a collective of thoughts, beliefs and ideals. A belief is something you think is true, but don't necessarily have solid proof of. An ideal is perhaps something you aspire to.
Some really great answers here.... so I will share mine also.
Beliefs - an internal avenue of "inner faith" that one holds within themselves, be them as a quiet belief in something out of the norm, or one that is generalised between more than one person. Belief is in the heart.
Religion - a basal idea that a group or body has the SAME beliefs as another, usually in a controlled manner and/or environment. A belief that is external as opposed to internal as described in Beliefs. Belief in the body.
Ideals - That which is between beliefs and religion, ideals lend to a higher aspect of understanding. Some set their ideals in life and in spirit very high, while others not so much. To me, Ideals are beliefs in the mind.
Anyone else care to share?
Religion is believing in a higher being/s, beliefs are all your opinions and ideals are your dreams.
Religion is the mass of communities unite to follow the line of custom and traditions and acts to gain the highest state of being where no other progress where no other modernity remains its base is similer to science but science do not base around the belief it start with checking it and belief is the matter the mode the tool which put the person to the path of aims of the fundamental basics of the religion and idol are those past high beings which attained highest positionby putting the example by its hard work and gain some miracles in tht line and helped the community or community peepal such as Musah, Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, Teressa, Valentine and more and more they served their communities more and more which brought modernity in the religion plus few of them split and formed the new religion on the basis of research in own base religion, buddha believed in nature everybidy knows butno body knew that Buddha was believing each organ and nuclei and space of the nature is filled with the God's powers which boon us as per our level of conscious divinity. He simplified it as esteblishing the Godly feature of the nature instead of its origin.
and Godly Idols and monuments are different from those kins who are Ideal now.
hhhhhhhhmmmmm sorry for reading idol instead of ideal
ideal are those morale values which boon the total religion at peace and brotherhood to achieve the highest aims of the religion which is agressing over other religion belief is not.
well there is no difference, to have religion you have to have belief, and to have belief you have to have the ideal that you do believe and do have religion ....vise sersa, he said, she said....
To me there is no difference you are still having FAITH in somethng you have not or cannot see... it is what you trust in your life, the whole idea of the belief in the religion.
I could be wrong yet it is how my thoughts are .
