Is there any difference between believing and feeling in order to decide what is true?
If you believe in something would you also feel it to be right too?
So can you believe without feeling it or feel it without believing it? Think over that a bit and see what your statement would be.
Sensitivity of the past or the future is a major key to what decisions you made today?
If yes why? Why would the past or future involve on what happen today?
Fear of what is going happen or what has happened earlier holds you back from fulfilling your
true nature? Why fear the fear when you can use it to your advantage instead?
Revenge by so many humans classed as something bad and evil. The true thing about revenge is
justice to yourself. So why is that evil?
Feel the wind, and you don't see it. To believe without seeing the "object" is faith. Revenge, for me, is sweet, like sugar, in a baby mouth. In today Judicial system is corrupted, and only revenge, can bring peace to the Victims of crimes.
If you believe in something would you also feel it to be right too?
I think yes, feelings and thoughts can be combined. But then I'd ask if what we belief and say we feel, is influenced by what we learn, (mostly thought from society in general).
for me personally, there is a difference. i really hate it when someone says something like "i really feel that more money is needed for _______". i wonder why they FEEL that, and not think about it. to me "feeling" is weak, mushy, and avoiding looking at fact. i like facts to help me decide on things.....
that said....
there are somethings that are about feeling. do i like this color or that? i feel strongly about my spritual beliefs, i feel strongly about my harley, my guitar, my friends, etc.
why do i enjoy the night more than the day? i just do...its a feeling.
just wanted to muddy the water as much as possible LOL

feeling is a sensation. believing is a realization. many strange things happen in my life that make me believe in miracles.
When we allow ourselves to assess the evidence, our belief is formed out of reality. When our need to find the truth is diminished, we tend to go more by "feel". This usually happens when there isn't an immediate need for confirmable truths like when we're thinking about "spirituality", the supernatural or philosophical perspectives.
When our need to know real truth is pressing and immediate, we seem to recognize that findings provided through beliefs formed of "feelings" are usually misguided and inconsistent; like when we're driving a car, operating a table saw or wiring a building. In these cases, very few will be satisfied to believe in accordance with a "feeling" because not being correct has some rather immediate and somewhat dire consequences. In these circumstances we want bold hard evidence and not what we or anyone else "feels" about the situation.
Were we as confident as many pretend to be when it comes to accepting beliefs of faith, we'd likely apply the same methodology to situations of immediate and significant consequence that we do to things like faith, mental meanderings on the occult or the supernatural. In that we don't, we demonstrate a lack of faith, in our beliefs of faith.
I agree with the opening poster concerning revenge and justice. When you really think about it, "justice" is just a word we use to describe revenge that has been given the popular (or powerful), vote. It's still revenge, we just have a word for it we think sounds more noble.
I feel to believe and not see is act of faith and to feel or see something is just that.
We all have to have something I feel to believe in whether or not we can see or feel it, makes no difference to many if it is real or not.
Things from our past can affect our decision for our future, to me the reason is *life is a series of trials and tribulations* , hopefully people will learn from them and move forward and into a better life or situation.
many people act on faith alone and it works for them, so why knock it....just my opinion...
Feeling something and believing something are not always linked. I believe in things that cannot be felt or touched in a real sense.
My past does influence today, and the future, only because I try to learn from mistakes and not repeat them. Every choice we make influences our now and our future, our choices are the only things we have that are truly ours and make up our entire life.
while im not knockin intuition, i dont have much time for it when it goes against hard fact. if the numbers say 32...and someone else "feels" its really 64, ill go with the hard cold facts. not romantic, but it seems to work better for me.

Belief is overrated. I hear so many claim to simply believe something, they then press on to claim a confirming experience, then is it a matter of belief (based on faith)? No, it is a conviction based on an experience, or demonstration. I am at a loss for the rest of the question.
There is no proof in any religion, only a belief in the teachings, which makes you a Christian, Satanist, Vampire, etc... And once one believes and studies the teachings, they obtain the reaffirmation of the sensation involving perception resulting from emotions, sentiments, or desire.
Just as a point of curiosity, daemona,
You've noted, "My past does influence today, and the future, only because I try to learn from mistakes and not repeat them.", and I quite agree. But then you also said,
"I believe in things that cannot be felt or touched in a real sense". I wonder; since the earliest records and artifacts of man suggest this same kind of belief, and since it has never, in all of man's explorations, discovery and advancement, been shown to hold a measure of truth, is that not a means by which most continue to repeat the mistakes of the past?
Seems to me that every decision we make is basically influenced by emotions, if you break it down to the basics of it all.
feeling always grow the conscious to just the thing. but believing is the choice by inner on the matter. belief may be right or wrong but feeing is only conscious over the matter.
Revenge while sometimes merited also generally carries it's own consequences. Act with prudence and forethought.
"there is no truth to any religion"....what a strange thing to say! so...are you saying you dont BELIEVE there is any truth to something that is based on belief?
LOL
so...you dont believe in belief?
thats like saying you can prove your truthful because your lying!
thanks for the snicker.

I think it depends on what it is, and the individual in question. I can feel the air, but I dont see it. I believe it's there too, since I'm obviously breathing something.
I think we do trust our feelings a great deal when it comes to what we consider truth. But then what is truth? Nothing more than a very subjective opinion and perspective of a single particular individual. Other individuals will have a different truth based on their own subjective opinion and perspective. I also dont think it's a bad thing to trust feelings. Our eyes see alot more than what fully registers to our brains, feelings are good indicators of what we see, but we dont necessarily notice consciously. Jung had some interesting theories involving that.
Belief...I cant speak for anybody else, but for myself..there are things I feel to be true, and there are things I KNOW to be true. Belief is something I have had people ask of me, on behalf of some institution or organization, and I am expected to take their word about it on faith. I dont buy into that.
"Sensitivity of the past or the future is a major key to what decisions you made today?
If yes why? Why would the past or future involve on what happen today?"
Yes. I go to work today, so I have a roof over my head and food on my plate next month. I went to work last month, so I would have a roof over my head, and food on my plate today. Common sense.
"Fear of what is going happen or what has happened earlier holds you back from fulfilling your
true nature? Why fear the fear when you can use it to your advantage instead?"
It's been my observation, that the guy who wrote "Dune" had it right. "Fear is the mind-killer". You cant use fear to any advantage, outside of perhaps, the "fight or flight" syndrome, because it tends to cause a mental state of paralysis, also known as "panic".
"Revenge by so many humans classed as something bad and evil. The true thing about revenge is
justice to yourself. So why is that evil?"
Again, it would depend on the humans in question, and what they feel or believe constitutes a justifiable reason for revenge. Most people I have encountered seem to think revenge is justifiable for mere petty insults. I dont think it's so much "evil" or "bad" to go around trying to punish people because they dont like you, and told you so...I think it's a rediculous waste of time, and that it's insanely stupid to go out of your way, just to show someone like that, they mattered enough to waste your energy in such a spectacular fashion, on them.
On the other hand if the crime is of a horrendeous enough nature, like they tortured and killed your entire family...then it's not a matter of punishment, it's a matter of eradication. So they can never, ever do that to anyone else ever again. Whether that is "bad" or "evil" is going to come down to each individual's personal perspective and opinion. So there you go, full circle, and right back to "truth".
I think that feeling is believing and believing is feeling. It is intertwined. If you believe something, then you feel in your soul that is right. Our feelings and emotions do drive us. No matter what we always do what we feel is right and we let that guide us. Like fear... we fear because it is what we believe or feel is bad or wrong. This is why we are different we all believe or feel different things.
