The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

This is going in Forum 1 because it directly relates to the Dark Network.

The Dark Network will have a vendor table at Bats Day this year. The table will be primarily manned by myself.

We won't be selling much. Maybe a few T-shirts and Hoodies. We'll mostly be giving promotional items away. I've got some new stock coming in especially for this event. New pens, buttons, stickers, and maybe coffee cups and other items. These things will be given away for free.

You've got to attend the event to get them ;)

Also, our table will feature some Internet Kiosks. These Kiosks will be locked to Dark Network sites (you won't be able to browse anywhere else). This will allow people to walk up and check out Dark Network websites.

So if you've never been to a Bats Day, now's your opportunity to do it. The Event is May 2nd and 3rd. May 2nd is The Black Market, where we'll be vending. There is also a lineup of several bands that night. The headliner is The Last Dance.

May 3rd is the day in the park. Don you best gothic attire and run around Disney Land with the rest of us. Traditionally over 5000 people show up for this event. In the picture below, there are just over 1400 people. They couldn't fit everyone into the panoramic shot:

well oh Prince, id love to attend, but cant get out there from texas for a single weekend. if ever they have it in summer, then count me in!

Noah K., the organizer of Bats Day, contacted me about the numbers I cited above. I was incorrect. Last year over 5,000 people attended Bats Day. In the photo, there are just over 1,400 people.

I've corrected the numbers in my post, but I wanted to post this reply, for those of you who are following this thread and just skipping to new replies.

i've already made plans to go to this as this one of my favorite events to do every year. I will attending the black market and disneyland on that sun as well. I look forward to seeing everyone there who can attend this event.

Oh wow! I cant wait to go but where is it again? in Anahim (SP?) I'M close to there....I think If its close to Pomona...? but I'm hoping I could go though I might be bussy with other stuff that i wont be able to move out of the way..darn...

just curious if you ever switch off and on between disneyland and disneyworld to give people accross the states a better chance to enjoy BAT DAY?

Bats Day is organized by Noak K. He's from southern California and the event has been held at Disneyland for the past 10 years. I don't think it will ever move to Disneyworld.

I realize that if an event is closer to you, it's that much easier to attend. But in this case, I don't think the event will be moving around.

i completely understand i was unaware of how long this has been going on... and by no means would i want you guys to uproot your scedule and alternate year to year it was just an idea ... i get to calif once in a blue moon i use to live there for 7 years just wish i would have known about bats day sooner....sence i know i will not be attending this year i wish everyone who is going a GREAT TIME

I think it sounds like a lot of fun. I also think it's really cool how you organize these events and invite everyone to attend them. =)

kids are welcome at disneyland and they will have a lot of fun there and makes the experiencce for all that get a change to go to batsday.

Ok, a few things.

I've cleaned up this thread and deleted a bunch of posts. I appreciate that some of you would like to go but can't. However, I'd like to keep this thread open for those of you that *are* going. So please only post if you're attending.

Vines: You can bring your son to all Bats Day pre-events. This includes the Black Market, where the Vampire Rave table will be.

VioletDreams: This event is organized by Noak K. of Bats Day. Vampire Rave and The Dark Network will simply have a vendor table at the event.

Everyone should keep in mind there is a distinction between Bats Day pre-events and Bats Day at Disneyland. The Pre-events are put on by Noak K. at the Anaheim Sheraton. With the exception of the Black Market (which is free), you must buy your tickets from http://www.BatsDay.net. In the past, these events have always sold out. If you're planning on attending, you should get your tickets as soon as possible.

The event hotel traditionally sells out as well. Last year I called 1 month prior to the event and it was sold out. We had to stay at a hotel across the street and it kind of sucked. The group rate of $159 per night that you can get through the Bats Day website is very competitive. I'd recommend making the reservation as soon as possible if you want to stay at the event hotel.

The Bats Day pre-events are Saturday May 2nd.

Bats Day at Disneyland is Sunday May 3rd. Although organized by Noah K., there is no affiliation between Disneyland and BatsDay.net. We simply go to Disneyland, in masse, dressed Goth. Thus, if you wanted to, you could just show up at the park and buy your Disneyland ticket there.

However, I wouldn't recommend this either. I saved $13 per ticket by buying my Disneyland ticket through the Bats Day website. Again, they've negotiated a group rate so you'll get a discount.

thank you cancer, now i got one more question . I have the Premium passport to Disneyland, it has no black out dates. do i still need a separate ticket for the event. ?

For Sunday, May 3rd, your Disneyland pass is all you'll need.

For Saturday, May 2nd, if you want to attend any of the evening events, you'll need to buy tickets through http://www.BatsDay.net.

Is that the only convention you do? I know many horror conventions that you could attend as well.

Bats Day isn't really a convention. It's similar to a convention, but it's more of an event in my opinion.

The Dark Network will be at other conventions/events in the future.

where is the event going to happen? and how many people will be attending?

I'll be there, wouldn't miss it. Plus my Dad lives about 15 minutes from there so I can visit family as well. Should be fun.

In the past, Bats Day has been held at different times of year. Going forward in future years, I believe it is suppose to always be the first weekend in May.

im in LA LA land right now getting ready to leave to anahiem I had a blast going to the dodgers game on thurs night and going to unverisal studios on fri but now it is im off to headin south. first to knotts berry farm then off to the black black market later on tonight have a good one everyone.

It was so awesome being there! I picked up some earrings, very cool ones *smiling* I'm glad I got to see the Prince there, and hang out with a few of my friends. Wish it could happen more than once a year!
