Recently several people have pointed out to me how many Celebrities have large teeth, or odd eyes.
For instance Lady Gaga...dark glasses and changing eyes or Judge Michael Conahan who has odd teeth on Micheal Moores latest DVD...Or Avril Lavene or The killers lead singer or the Prodigy mmm...I also see several leading Government Bankers and Bloombergs Mark news commentator who have unearthly teeth....Grinz.
Your thoughts? who else have you noticed?

It is insanely difficult to find images of celebs with their mouth open. I know that Christian Bale could be considered too, but there isn't one good picture of his with his teeth showing.

Indeed, many ordinary folk have large canines yet it is quite extraordinary how many Celebs have more than one trait, it is almost deliberate.
A good example is the lead singer of the Killers who then produces the album "Are we human" I nearly spat my tea out.
Or the lead singer of the "The Editors" who then released take my werewolf hand...!Or the Prodigy "Back from the dead...Bite, bite, they put you down if you take a Ho"
Not exactly subtle. I will see if I can find more pics.

Many people have prominate canines we just do not realize it whether it be some celebrity or not.

For instance, when my sister was younger she had prominate canine teeth.

Yes, some celebrities have Vampyre type things but that does not make them a Vampyre. It is relatively the same with average everyday people as well.

There are people that have features that are stereotypical of one thing or another but it is no means something that they are.

As not a single folkoric or historical account describes vampires as having fangs, I don't understand the relevance. Even Bram Stoker (author of "Dracula") didn't describe his fictional title character as being fanged.

Places like Romania, England, France, and etc., didn't have Vampires untill novelist started writing that they did. It was something more therian (animals and werewolves). This might be where the more civilized Vampire came from, sporting their fangs.

wolf whisperer (great name...i hate it when people shout at me lol)
while this is just a wiki article, i also have books in my library that restate the same info more or less.
there is a great deal of documentation of eastern euro vampirism in romania and other parts of eastern europe. in fact it was in eastern europe (the austro hungarian empire) that the "vampire craze" of the 1700s is documented as having originated. as no vampire novels had been written at that time, where did they get those legends from?

Romanian vampires were known as moroi (from a Slavic word meaning "nightmare") and strigoi, with the latter classified as either living or dead. Live strigoi were described as living witches with two hearts or souls, sometimes both.[42] Strigoi were said to have the ability to send out their souls at night to meet with other strigoi and consume the blood of livestock and neighbours. Similarly, dead strigoi were described as reanimated corpses that also sucked blood and attacked their living family. Live strigoi became revenants after their death, but there were also many other ways of a person becoming a vampire. A person born with a caul, an extra nipple, a tail, or extra hair[43] was doomed to become a vampire. The same fate applied to the seventh child in any family if all of his or her previous siblings were of the same sex, as well as someone born too early or someone whose mother had encountered a black cat crossing her path. If a pregnant woman did not eat salt or was looked upon by a vampire or a witch, her child would also become a vampire. So too would a child born out of wedlock, although many of these superstitions rose from the clergy in order to keep their subjects compliant. Others who were at risk of becoming vampires were those who died an unnatural death or before baptism. Finally, a person with red hair and blue eyes was seen as a potential strigoi.[44]

Romanian vampires were said to bite their victims over the heart or between the eyes,[45] and sudden deaths could indicate the presence of a vampire. Graves were often opened five or seven years after burial and the corpse checked for vampirism, before being washed and reburied.[46][47]

"The first myth on vampires predates back to roughly 4000 B.C.E. from the ancient Sumer civilization. The ancient Sumerians existed in Mesopotamia and facts prove that by 3100 B.C.E., their culture brought the earliest archeologically proven dynasty; the first cities were built along with establishing the city and state religions were set up and practiced. The Sumerians is the first civilization to receive our attention as the first and oldest myth of a vampire-like being that is the Ekimmu."

As it was explained to me, by my Great Grandmother, who grew up in Romania, was that whatever they had (no matter how they translate the words today) were not like "vampires." I would trust her words over Wiki anyday. And to say as much was blasphemy to her and her family. I never said that there wasn't supernatural creatures there, but they were never the immortal vampires of novels today.

Again, no mater what those words translate to now, it was not a "vampire" then. Oh, and Strigoii means "Witch." My GG words to my ears.

Lordwolf,

What I wrote was said mostly out of paranoia. Romanians do not say there are "Vampires." I hope, in my round-about way, that point got across. I wasn't saying that there is no "Vampire" history in the Country. I was alluding to how those stories, and there explaination of, have changed over the years.

The idea of vampires having fangs comes from fiction. Humans have canine teeth to eat meat. It is a choice not to eat meat. We have canines and some people have longer ones than others. Just like some people have longer necks or arms or anything else. It is a matter of heredity and nothing to do with being anything else.

...of course there where vampyres in Romania. Some of he very first myths of vampires started in Eastern Europe. People argue that that's where the birth of the vampire began. Vampyres are NOT immortal. You are thinking of the Hollywood/ TV/ book version of a vampire.... those don't exist ANYWHERE. That's make believe...

I respect you for trusting your grandmother, but I doubt she knew every person in her country, or even city to say the least... people are not all knowing... but there were known recordings of Vampyres in Europe and Asia before any fiction was ever written about them.

What "WolfWhisper" appears to be saying coincides well with what other native Romanians continue to attest: "Vampires" were believed to exist... but they do not exist as defined by popular culture and the fictions that spawned all such.

This is precisely what such Savic experts as Dr. Jan Perkowsky, Dr. Paul Barber, Dr. Alan Dundes, Dr. Bruce McClelland and Dr. Sabina Ipsas, herself a Romanian as well, have all been saying: While "Vampires" originated as such in Eastern Europe and its environs, yet they were not defined by any such lands as being fanged or blood-suckers or immortal or any other such entirely fictional characteristics.

And if they were not identified by any such... why do we persist in seeking such today or trying to identify as such those ancient beings in other cultures possessing one or another of these entirely fictional characteristics?

It might be worthwhile at this point to mention that, according to the latest DNA evidence published only a couple years ago, unlike all other eye colors that have existed since the advent of Homo Sapiens hundreds of thousands of years ago, blue eyes have only been around for less than 10,000 years and appeared suddenly as if out of nowhere... and in one specific geographic area of the world: "the northwestern area of the Black Sea region."

If one looks at the provided map at the above hyperlink or observes any map of the Black Sea area, one quickly realizes that the "northwestern area" of the Black Sea is largely occupied by Romania... and Transylvania, in particular, the literal historical "homeland" of the "Vampire," reputed to be blue-eyed.

While Dr. Eiberg gives as his best scientific explanation the theory that blue eyes were the result of some sudden unexplained mutation, yet he also acknowledged in private email that such could also have occurred were a small group of blue-eyed individuals to have suddenly appeared in the area and begun to mate with the local females there.

This latter theory would well support the myriad legends amongst the Sumerians, Egyptians, Phoenicians, and Canaanites ... as well as the Mayan and Incan legends too, of blue-eyed, white or blond-haired men who appeared suddenly, taught Humankind the basics of civilization (e.g., art, science, agriculture, writing), married local females and had children by them, and later left.

Didn't do extensive research on this, but couldn't find the mention of the Black Sea area, specifically.

Northern Europe, yes, which would be in line with Scandinavia, which seems the logical place for blue eyes to develop.

Oh, I'm so tickled that I actually took a peek in this thread!! I've noticed that different people, not just celebrities, have "creepy" attributes. I don't think this means that they are supernatural creatures though. Remember Kirsten Dunst as vampire child Claudia? If I'm not mistaken, she was chosen because she already had fang-like teeth. lol

Years and years ago, I had a book about vampires that said something about redheaded people with blue eyes were sometimes thought to be vampires. Btw, I have red hair and blue eyes. In high school I was teased about being a vampire, although I looked and acted just like everyone else (there was no "goth" back in my day . . . lol). Upon doing some research, I stumbled upon this from a translation of Malleus Maleficarum, a famous treatise on witches written by Heinrich Kramer, by English author and clergyman, Montague Summers, "Those whose hair is red, of a certain peculiar shade, are unmistakably vampires. It is significant that in ancient Egypt, as Manetho tells us, human sacrifices were offered at the grave of Osiris, and the victims were red-haired men who were burned, their ashes being scattered far and wide by winnowing-fans. It is held by some authorities that this was done to fertilize the fields and produce a bounteous harvest, red-hair symbolizing the golden wealth of the corn. But these men were called Typhonians, and were representatives not of Osiris but of his evil rival Typhon, whose hair was red."--Wikipedia.

As I said, I am redheaded, but I'm not a vampire. So, I feel it's safe to assume that just because, say, Avril Lavigne has fangs, it doesn't mean she's a vampire. :)

According to Dr. Eiberg of the University of Copenhagen, blue eyes originated in the northwestern area of the Black Sea and then migrated northwest from there.

As you were unable to find any online references, please permit me to provide a couple of the best such hyperlinks to the most relevant scientific articles and online sites discussing this rather startling DNA research:

Abstract of the Actual 2008 Study Published in the "Journal of Human Genetics"

A Single DNA Difference in the HERC2 Gene Explains Blue Eyes, Changes in the Non-Coding Region of HERC2 Are Responsible for Eye Colors other than Brown - by Katie Cunningham, Stanford University

An excerpt thereat states: "The authors estimate that this blue-eye mutation probably happened in the Black Sea region somewhere between 6000-10,000 years ago."

This time frame and the exact geographic location of the sudden appearance of blue-eyes coincides shockingly well with the legends of the "Fallen Angels," who reportedly were blue eyed, appearing somewhat prior to "Noah's Flood" and mating with and having children by Human females. As might also be recalled, recently more and more geologists are concluding that "Noah's Flood" was not a worldwide event (for which alleged flood no evidence exists worldwide) was a sudden regional flood that equates with the catastrophic flooding of the Black Sea basin at the end of the last Ice Age that occurred... approximately 6000-10000 years ago and at the very spot where blue eyes originated.

If both sceintific theories are accurate, not only do we find the perfect alignment of all these legends but also perhaps the key foundational evidence for where those later vilified as "Vampires" also originated.

Again... perhaps we're looking for "Vampires" (celebrities or otherwise) in all the wrong places. ;)

is the whole blue eyes/angel decendants thing in anyway connected to Hitlers idea of Aryan supremacy?

and if so that would totally explain his experiments with eternal life if he had vampires working for him.

Interesting observation, and perhaps accurate.

Just goes to show that anything wonderful and positive can be twisted and perverted by evil men... whether that be the vilification of such ancient celestial messengers and teachers as "fallen" and, later, their demonization as "witches" and "vampires" to justify the slaughters of their progeny... or their physical characteristics being used by evil men to justify and encourage the wholesale slaughter of yet millions of others.

What is important to note is that at no time throughout history is their any shred of evidence that this angelic race or any of their direct descendants ever participated or encouraged such atrocities either against their own kind or against anyone else.

Guess I missed this last sentence, didn't I?

Again... there are absolutely no evidences that any member of this "angelic" progeny worked toward the accomplishment of any such evils. Additionally, there is no historical evidence that those called "vampires" were ever considered immortal, either.

no I realized that, my point wasn't that they really were immortal, it was that he thought he and his soldiers could become immortal.

Hmmm I never thought about it. Hmmm anything is possible. It is said that the return of the Vampires is comeing to life. In some places but yeah. *I wish I could find some more in this county.* So it is highly possible that they are some in the Celebraties. I know of one who has all the features in one band as well. I forget his name though.

Im 40 and I have pretty dominant eye teeth, and blue eyes that change intensity of blue at times. My lineage is Swiss and German mostly, is there somewhere I could look that shows how many so called vampires come from these areas? Ive been told Im aging well too so is this something that is characterisitic of vampires? I also find I have a craving for blood once every cpl weeks or so.

I'm blonde haired and blue eyed too and am also a Sang and Psy (though I only recently have found out more about myself as such though I've always had the Sang and Psy qualities. I was able to talk to a few others that were also and helped me understand more and I thank them.). My mother's also blonde haired and blue eyed and has also had certain qualities of Psy and actually was told by another man when she was a young girl that she has powers; just that she needed to figure them out for herself and learn to use them. Same with her mother: blonde hair, blue eyes. And she too had something of the sort as Psy. Even my brother too. And everyone in my mom's side (especially the females) all age very gracefully. We don't look our ages at all. Like several years to almost twenty to thirty years younger for those over 25. My mom still looks about 27-30. And those that are younger than 20, we can look a little older than we do then it shifts making us look younger as we get older. Hell, if I were to put my hair a certain way and dress a certain way, I could almost pass off for a 15/16 year old and I'm almost 22. It seems to run in my mom's maternal side of the family with our longevity looking (and also actual age-wise). So who knows?

if someone saw me smile ( which i rarely do) i supposed someone in this thread would assume i'm vamp because of my unusual canines or that's i'm a shapeshifter or were or witch ( i'm pagan not a witch) because my eyes change with my mood but does that automatically make me something i'm not? i think people like to make assumptions about celebs because people like us don't want to think we're the only ones out there... but unless we truly know the person we can't know for sure what or who they really are

kirsten dunst could suck my blood anytime! lol

they might not use the word vampire in romania, and their vamps might not be the stuff of hollyweird, but does not a rose by any other name still drink blood? ...er...or something like that? lol

there is a wide category of things we have come to call vampires as there are many beings that have some similar characteristics that we like to lump together.

i dont think lestat comes from romania tho.

Oh, agreed LW... re: Kirsten Dunst, that is.

As for vampires by any other name still drinking blood... this does not logically follow if, to begin with, the term "vampire" had nothing to do with a blood-drinker.

As with all words, to understand their actual meaning and intent, one must discover their origins. And as we now know, the word had its origins in 1047 CE and referred to a mortal Christian priest (prior to the chastity vows, I hasten to add!), which is pretty much the complete opposite of today's fictional portrayal of the vampire as an immortal, crucifix-hating, blood-drinking revenant from the grave! Thus, whatever the truth be regarding what the "Vampire" actually was (and is), one cannot avoid the indisputable fact that in the actual Slavic lands where this term originated and from whence we know the term today, Vampires were never considered blood drinkers... until the fictions began so portraying them.

Thus... the intriguing and perplexing mystery of just exactly what were the Vampire's actual characteristics? And, of course, Romanian and other Slavic countries original historical and folkloric accounts answer this for us in spades, too! But... again... almost no one has bothered to investigate just what those original and truly vampiric traits were. And they were not reported by 18th and 19th Century writers (like Stoker) because they were considered even more taboo than the bloodthirsty violence they used as metaphor for those actual and true traits.

It is a MOST fascinating study into history when you actually choose to take it.

Apparently Mr Jackson was headhunted and assassinated by dark forces, or so his brother alleges on CNN last night.
I think the dark assassin should come forth .*Grinz.

well upir, we may not agree on much, but at least we have kirstin dunst (just remember SHES MINE, MINE!!!) lol

m thought is that as a culture we put far too much emphasis on celebrities. on yahoo i looked at what was trending in the news, and with all of the amazingly important political issues out there that will effect us all of a generation to come (dont worry, i hate discussing politics with my friends enough to avoid particulars here), people are obsessed with people whos only claim to fame in many cases is that they are good at pretending to be someone else. vampyric or not, what does that say about us as a society?
rather sad really...

now ...back to kirstin dunst :c)

Wow, LW... this is twice now that I'm having to wholeheartedly agree with what you've said. If this keeps up, VR's gonna lose a good chunk of its "drama." ;)

Well, should things change in the future, and given how messed up most of your views usually are I'm sure they will (just kiddin' ya), at least we'll have Kirstin Dunst.

I think people's 'canines' are sharper and longer because they're supposed to be. Anyone else who doesn't have it that way has lost it due to grinding.

Yes LW it has been noted in Micheal Moores new DVd about Capitalism.
How during "The fall of Rome" the masses were distracted by impotent politicians, Celebrity, heroes, gladitorial game shows (cage fighting/smackdown) and nobody noticed the sneaky Russians...errr I mean Gauls and Goths creeping up...

hi all really enjoying this discussion but to add a little more weirdness ..............

my canines are baby teeth !!! (im 26) i have condition called hypodontia where i have several adult teeth that were never formed so the baby teeth are still there ! and it is the upper and lower canines affected ......... where if one wishes to you would place your false fangs!

and annoyingly everyone else in my family have very prominant canines to the point (hahahaha pun intented!!!) they have them filed and blunted !

so maybe in a weird alternate world i was meant to be a born vampire but was naughty and was defanged hence this incarnation in this realm !

ooo or cursed by a disgruntled warlock !

hmm maybe i should switch worlds with my other self she seems to have much more exitement than me!
