It is all in the mind, since that is what controls the body.

The psychological effect of realising that one is drinking blood, is what causes the psycho-somatic reaction, in my opinion.

Nothing that a good dose of B-12 can't fix for you darling. Try laying off the blood. Infact, too much blood can be dangerous to your stomach. Blood is HIGH in acids. That can do a number on your tummy. Hope you feel better.

I enjoy food as much as blood, but prefer blood over food. with blood there is emotional fulfillment with food you just dont get that.

I have no problem eating food. I have had blood and food together. But I have noticed one thing that is different, the more blood I drink the more I crave raw meat. I used to have problem eating raw meat or mostly raw meat but now I do it all the time. If I'm cooking hamburgers or stew meat I will stand there and wait for the meat to get warm and then start eating right out of the pan. Is that odd? Has this happened to anyone else?

I have ingested blood before (not my own), and I will admit, I prefer food to blood. It's got too much of an iron taste to it; however when eating meat rare, I like the flavour of animal blood in my steaks, per se.

blood is good in small doses but if you drink too much of it it can do a number on your stomach so I prefer food for the most part and a lil blood on the side isnt a bad thing at all.

In this current day and age, drinking blood is certainly a high risk activity. One cannot be too careful.

True it is risky but has long you have no open wounds in your mouth or throat stomach acid will kill any virus. I read a study on this a while ago. If there is no way for the blood you drink to get into your own blood you should be fine. But still use care when drinking fresh blood. If you want to be really careful I would suggest saving the blood in an air tight container, then put in the frig for a few days. The AIDS virus dies when not in the body. Then warm it up and drink away. :)

With me, blood has caused me to have a more refined palette. For me to enjoy a steak for example, I MUST have it done at least medium rare- I just crave the soft, fleshy goodness, which of course has been bathing in blood before and even after the slaughter.

It appears that a lot of vamps have food allergies or at least some intolerances. This is of the whole gamut since most don't drink blood or take energy from more than one source. I spoke to Merticus from AVA and the survey seems to be showing this to be so.

well, its sort of changed. ever since i got into drinking blood i dont really eat food anymore. i have like one meal a day. and it's meat. but when i eat meat that's when my fangs grow. then when the taste of meat goes away they shrink back. but they're still longer than the others. but yeah, it's changed ever since i got into blood.

The only blood I do ingest is in the rare steaks and meats I eat. I think the blood adds to the flavour of the meat.

As for drinking it straight, it's too tangy for me.

Yes you have to eat some food, blood isn't the perfect nutritional intake by any means. If you are limiting your consumption to blood or mostly blood this may be why you are not feeling the best. You may be slightly malnourished. Sounds strange but it's a possibility.

Being moresoa psy/psi vamp than a sang one, I admit as of late I've been having trouble eatting solid foods.

However, I've always had a bit of an eatting disorder and just recently have been coming to terms with it.

I dropped 2 sizes already. But I digress. :)

Overall, I think if I could find someone who wold be a willing (and tested) donor, I'd be good to go for now.

I'm just getting a bit dizzy and the like.

But I NEVER use blood as a substitute for food.

I have never drank other than my own blood and never enough of it to consider it a meal, or even a drink to my meal. tho I would love to try. I do know from research and from reading other forum posts that too much blood can be bad and make u sick. I would also think that not eating actual food would make u miss out on essential nutrients or something like that. so theoretically, wouldnt you have to eat food as well as drink the blood? or do you take vitamins?

it could be stress, it coudl be your sleeping patterns....My friend and i used to work a night shift job, and just wlaking through the grocery store together was enough to put us off food. Not getting enough sunlight, or just not sleeping enough or too much, messes up your eating habits. It could have little or nothing to do with the fact that you're drinking blood.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that blood or no blood, if you are still in a mortal body you need food. For most humans there is something in blood that actually causes the stomach to become ill when they get too much of it in there. Could be what puts you off your appetite

its mind over matter. you are so used to being raised to eat food and you choose to do an alternate choice and your body needs to adjust to a different lifestyle. so when you drink the blood you throw your body out of whack, so to say and then the food just tastes more fulfilling.
