A very powerful friend of mine gave me a few this weekend in order to help me out with some Hell I've been dealing with. I've had a pretty tumultuous week and I'm hoping to heal some of the damage done so I can get myself back to a level where I can function at top capacity.

Anyway, I was wondering what anyone's experience with chanting some of these mantras was, and how effective they can be as opposed to other forms of magick.

The reason why chants are so effective is because of the frrequencies the sound waves carry are subsequently vibrations for healing and are in correlation with the physical body. The sounds that are carried benefit the growth of both the physical well being as well as for health reasons.

The same could be stated about other types of sound vibrations such as heavy metal that are more detrimental, instead of positive. This has been proven.

I have found chanting to be very useful. The repetitive chanting induces a trancelike state which makes it easier to focus on either the problem or a solution.

As soulshroud mentioned, the frequency and vibrations are suppose to have healing qualities. There have been many studies done that prove the trance state induced by chanting has many benefits.

I find them so beautiful.

As for why they are effective, they make concentration eaiser, which speaking in terms of magick, is a must.

The healing qualities, I dont know anything about.

I believe the vibrations and frequincys reach out to other realms/planes where they bounce back at you and put you into a very relaxed state ...even to the point of being able to astro body project

In magik I belive that it is not a question of if a technique (such as chanting) works, the question is if the practitioner can make it work? From what I understand chanting is one of the most simple and effective form of ritual. Very primative. Pretty sure just about anyone can make it work if they r determined to do so for whatever purposes.

yes mantras and chants are very effective as the permeate thru the frequencies of your body. Im currently doing one now to rid of negative energy.

Well imagine that everything you know and everyone is connected by minute threads ( string theory) and each thread is a different colour;
Imagine; All the metal threads are shades of orange all the vegetation threads are shades of green. When we sing their song they vibrate a little more than usual.
Then pick up the heavy dark threads, that takes angry effort to move. Every living thing is part of this music it is just that some are tuned in and can manipulate these strings-conjour these strings.
Pluck a Big Bass and watch the orchestra turn their heads.
After all- Even a very small creature can push upon a heavy bell to make it chime in time.

It is all about the frequency.You can create them with chants or with you mind alone.And yes,certain frequencies heal cells and certain frequencies destroy them.I have lists and lists in my journal what different frequencies do to the body.
Oh,also I wanted to mention that it isnt "heavy metal" persey that is detrimental,but the scales that are played.many HM bands write their music using alot of diminished 7ths which is rooted to the key of C..these notes/chords can be detrimental when played in certain progressions.And they would have the same affect if played in a heavy metal style , classical or easy listening. .

If I were you,I would look into RA.Which is music produced in 424 instead if the standard A440 tuning.
I might also suggest looking into the Solfeggio scales.

The point of my thread is that as the vibrations enter the cranium and are interpreted they produce an emotional response in the form of energy.
This energy had its own frequencies which may enhance, form a harmonic or cancel the effect on the individual.
A simple experiment would demonstrate this....Mix the harmful tones into an audience of the Beorgeois listening to Beet6hoven and a seperate audience of hardcare metal heads listening to Metalllica. If the metal heads walk away unscathed then I was right.
Actually what the hell am I on about, they do this every week at Metallica concerts.

Yes,AN,and by this I mean that if you take the same track and played it the three different styles,it would have the same affect .It produces the same cymatic patterns whether played softly or in the traditional HM style.The frequencies dont change as much as decible.

i dont consider chanting to be magic...just another form of meditation....i do know that it can be very effective when used to center ones self, and clear ones mind.

Now,compare those patterns with magical symbols...their dipictions in ancient writings , on cave walls and tombs throughout history .Used by pretty much every kind of shaman, witch,wizard and other mystical people of the world,times and cultures.They are consistant. Then compare the hz signatures and how they correlate with their supposed affect on the body, brain spirit and other physical matter .Also consider bowls, prayer wheels and tools of that nature. The soul could very well reside in the pineal gland (many believe it is the heart)and resonance has a direct affect. As it does the on the heart.On every cell of our bodies actually. Just as it does on the salt nodes on the plate in the vid. And water. There is a guy named Dr.Emoto.His work also clearly demonstrates how words and pitches affect water.
You'll see easily at what I am getting at .
All I'm saying is just maybe much of what we consider magic and paranormal does have a very real mechanism behind it due to this .

So I guess with all that said EverDark,my personal conclusion would be that yes,chanting could very well work.In more ways than one.(And that is only the tip of the iceburg as far as evidence)

Chants are the most sacred part of your beliefs...If you believe what you practice and concentrate on what your chants are supposed to be about....your healings will eventually come about....just believing without a doubt is the first step of a "spell" to do it's work...and a positive attitude.. :)

Mantra meditation is able to cure the inner and gives the strength of balanced mind with strong nerve tree.

There are 4 states of breathe.
1. inhale with mantra sound "O" of the Oum. see that no force is pressured on inhaling.

this is (inhaling) gross conscious awake mind state.

2. breathe hold before exhale, naturally with sound "U" of Oum. No pressure should be forced on breathe holding.

this is subconscious dream mind state.

3. exhale with sound "M" of Oum, naturally. No force should be applied on exhale.

This is unconscious slept mind state. in this along with breathe out the consciousness is surrendered to rest the inner.

4. after exhale and before inhale there is pause naturally. No force applied in thsi breathe holding.

This state is top of the state. this is silence state where crown chakra is given mexuimum energies and balanced state of mind in subtle is awaked.

This Mantra Oum is chanted in mantra meditation regularly to heal the inner and functioning of person including nerve tree. all frequencies will be jujbed by body in smooth and happy inner.

Masters' exploration employed a process whereby specific linear dimensions were based on units of wavelengths from the Balmer Series. In my communication with him he described his process as follows:

The height was not a Hydrogen line but was the Sq.Rt. of 13 times the 1/2 base, creating a non-rational wavelength of 5121.67898344 etc Angstroms. For the other large triangle (T2) from the set of 5 triangles and being a 3-4-5 right triangle when cut in half or a full base of 6 and 2 slopes of 5 each. I use The Balmer Constant of 3645 for the 3 -side, Balmer M8 of 3888 Angstroms (violet) for the 4-side,and Balmer M4 of 4860 Angstroms ( Cyan blue ) for the 5-side. Relative to the "phi"triangle the 3-4-5 triangle becomes 6-8-10."

Analyzing the numbers for T1 we get: 4100.625/10 = 410.0625 and 6561/16 = 410.0625 making equal units (shown above, left). It will be noted that 16/10 = 1.60. This number is the 6th place in the Fibonacci Series for the Golden Ratio. However, calculating the tangent, opposite side (ht) divided by the adjacent side (16) or the height by the base - 5121.67 / 4100.625 - produces 1.24. This is even further from the Golden Ratio value of 1.618 than was the initial calculation of 1.6. The arctan of 1.24 is 51.32o which is within a half degree of the desired angle is 51.827o and could be considered acceptable.

Analyzing T2: Using the Pythagorean Theorem of a2 + b2 = c2 we see that the 3 side of M8 does not work. Mathematically, sqrt(4860^2 - 3888^2) = 2917 which does not equal 3645. However, using M8 and M4 for sides does produce an angle for T2, which is reasonably consistent with Sri Yantra geometry. Acos (3888/4860) = 36.87o which is within a half degree of the desired angle of 37.2o. Thus we see that, based on Masters construct, Sri Yantra is reasonably, geometrically resonant to Hydrogen.

Sri Yantra and Hydrogen- a Step Further

I wondered what would be the results of a hydrogen analysis of my perfected Sri Yantra geometry, so I investigated. Hydrogen spectral wavelengths for 36 "m" levels and infinity to "n" levels 1 through 6 were calculated. One set of transitions, designated "m" to "na", was used the for the slope of a triangle, another set of transitions, designated "m1" to "nb", was used for the base. Base-to-side angles and apex side-to-side angles were calculated by using permutations of the na : m and nb : m1 wavelength transitions. I call these angles "hydrogen angles." Hydrogen angles were compared to their counter parts in all 9 triangles comprising Sri Yantra. A match was considered successful if a hydrogen angle was equal to the triangle angle or greater by no more than .078615 degrees. .078615 is 1/10 x srt(Golden Ratio)/Golden Ratio. Srt(Golden Ratio)/Golden Ratio is the sine function of the pyramid angle.

Electrons transitioning from outer orbits to inner orbits produce longer wavelengths. Longer wavelengths means higher energy photons. Because energy levels have discrete values, matching a pair of transitions to produce an exact Sri Yantra triangle angle is unlikely. One would accept a slightly larger hydrogen angle because it means there is more energy present in the transition to account for the slight mismatch in resonance.

Over 400 hydrogen angle matches were made for all nine triangles. Both Base-Base and Side-Side angle matches were included in the list. Many of the triangle angles had matches with different sets of hydrogen transitions but with the same degree of variance. I call these "clusters." For the search criteria specified, over 30 sets of clusters were indicated. It was interesting to note that triangle T5, the apex of which correlates to Enclosure 8 - the central most triangle - the Kama-kala which encloses the Bindu and the Mother Goddess - the most Creative Spot in the Universe, has the largest clustering which means the most support from hydrogen resonance. Hydrogen transitions for T5 are spread across all 6 n-levels with several involving n-level 2 transitions - the Balmer Series. It is also interesting to note the following facts about Balmer Series hydrogen:

"In the spectra of most spiral and irregular galaxies, AGNs, H II regions and planetary nebulae, the Balmer lines are emission lines." (This means that the energy is being radiated rather than absorbed.) "An H II region is a large cloud of gas and ionized gas of glowing low density in which star formation has recently taken place." (This indicates a Creative Spot in the Universe). "In the spiral galaxies, including the Milky Way, H II regions are concentrated in the spiral arms. . .The first H II known region is Orion Nebula." (3DSY Note: During the 2012 winter solstice zero point crossing, our Sun will be blocking us from the center of our galactic center allowing Earth to be exposed to the unadulterated emanations from Orion).

As we have studied elsewhere on this site, spiral arms of galaxies incorporate our old friend the Golden Ratio. It seems more than a coincidence that Enclosure 8, housing the most Creative Spot in the Universe, is strongly supported by the same hydrogen frequencies associated with the Creative Spots in the Universe that birth stars.

Further analysis of the clustering showed that over 25 Balmer Series hydrogen transitions occurred in Side-Side angle computations whereas less than a third of them occurred for Base-Side angles. Clearly the Universe favors the Side-Side angles as this they represent the "expansion" principle. Base-Side angles actually imply "termination" of expansion. Over one-half of the hydrogen cluster angles corresponded to the Side-Side angle of the T1 Shiva triangle alone - the one containing the Golden Ratio. Of the entire set of hydrogen angles returned for the criteria, over a third of them involve n-level 2, Balmer Series hydrogen transitions.

I think it safe to conclude that hydrogen, the most abundant element in the Universe, amply drives Sri Yantra's geometric resonance, as well as that of the Personal Cosmic Resonator.TM This, combined with their incorporation of the Golden Ratio, makes them both very strong.

I am familiar with Hado and Emotos work with water and the crystals formed from the use of words. They had him speak in front of the United Nations because his work is taken very seriously.

I see no reason why chanting couldn't work magickally because with chaosmagic instead of creating a sigil one can create a mantra which could then be figured out by frequency and used as a chant. I know there are people who do magickal workings with sound/music. I haven't looked into it but heard about it sort of in passing or more bluntly in the circles I was traveling but I never got into that. The closest I came was the Enochian calls and when I read them (aloud) I hear music and poetry in my head. I have no real explanation for that so I don't read them anymore, lol. Still fascinated by the alphabet. Sound and written language do have a connection. When you get the subconscious involved then you get into levels that cannot be heard and perceived by the conscious self. Sometimes it is at these levels that many things fall into place.

I don't know much about chants but my friend was using spells and whatever it was that tried to kill him. You couldn't see it. After that he quit messing with it. lol. Hes lucky he is alive today.

vibration is the key to our brain fonctions, I mean sound don't really exist colors don't either, its the vibration produc by them that 'creates' a sound in our brain or a color.

My experience with chants is that the more you believe and visualize the outcome you want, then the more productive they are. I use chants for everything from stress relief, to depression suppression.

Concentration and visualization are powerful components in chanting. Also you can be helped by burning incense, sage, playing soft music, being on a large soft comforter or even laying on a large fluffy pillow.
