DOes Energy work actually work? Have there been any hard facts? Any proven techniques?

This question was phrased at a group I have joined and I wanted to get the input of VR to add to my perspective.

Most energy manipulation does work, but can be explained by other means.

There are many diffferent types of energy work - such as Reiki, and yes there have been many studies on this.

I guess it would be easier to answer if you narrowed the subject down some.

I guess in magickal or esoteric practices. I myself see a Reiki Master so I know that it works in that aspect. But when people claim to "send positive energy" to someone or "feed" from anothers energy distantly. Things like that. The esoteric and vampire realms of discussions here.

I dont see why it wouldnt make sense. Think about the Law of Conservation of Energy for example. It says that energy can never be created nor destroyed, simply transfered. So speaking from terms of vampirism, humans are made of differnt kinds of energy (i.e electricty), so it makes sense that could be "transfered". In terms of sending positive energy, again, just harnessing it and sending it. That simple.

Although I can not explain how this happens.

simple energy's can be felt by standing near a rapid river ...or a big oak tree in the woods ...crystals resinate with energy and differant ones of shapes or colors help certain things better then others I dont have a list in front of me to say rose quartz helps with healing and love and so does amythist ...there is a neat trick go grab two ordinary rocks a little smaller then golf balls then hold them close but not touching and begin to rotate them around each other do this for a minute or so then put the rocks closer and try to pull them apart you will feel a magnetic pull

@ PoeticHeart: Thanks for posting. I would believe that energies can be transfered. I think that humans and vampires exist but the act of transfering energy is done every day. IMO we exchange energy everyday and all the time. In movie theaters and walmart etc. We are constantly giving and recieving energy.

Yes I believe that working with energy is possible. How do empaths pick up peoples emotions? How does Reiki make you feel better? How does acupuncture work? They are all forms of energy manipulation.

Energy work does work in yoga too...

It is used in relaxation exercise to remove strain points and stiffness of the body. Example: Shavasana

I'm going to have to say on this subject:
- Yes, I believe energy manipulation is possible.

- The only proof I have, or anyone can have is In their OWN life experiences, So in other words, do some reading and try it out if you want proof :) ( I would recommend being proficient at meditating first.)

-I believe all energy is transferable in some way, Even the "soul". Think about it Logically, (as stated previously by someone... I was more involved in reading posts than posters lol) Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred. and what are our memories? or our "Soul"? Simply energy, which must be transferred somewhere, Most likely to knew life.

-As for transferring energy to others, I believe that this is possible, but their has to be a conduit for energy to go through, or how is it going to find the destined recipient? A physical connection (i.e. touching), is the most efficient, but I also believe the Internet itself is an amazing conduit for energy, I mean that's only what its designed to do LOL.

Employing sound is a good technique and has been used for aeons by generations of "energy workers" around the world.

Well I do meditation and my sister is doing reiki and we do believe energy works and my sister is doing it thrugh proper course and master (mentor) teaching her. She too discussed with me how positive energy actually does work. Its all the game of the energies. Meditation too is of meny mathod and it involves your focus and energies too.

i know from 2 of my martial arts that you can completely stop the flow of energy or manipulate other peoples energy but its called chi in martial arts

I believe during the war the Russians used energy workings to work on their enemies and there was some scientific facts concerning it's usefulness
