Do you believe in the paranormal, including everything from UFO's to spirits. And if so, why?

And pretaining to spirts, do you believe there is a correlation between Occult activites and the prescence of spirits?

I believe that where there is any kind of occult activity the energy they produce by thier belief will draw spirit activity normally in the negative form

far as UFO's I never believed in them and after one night Iam not so sure now because there was bright lights everywhere and I saw a short figure standing in the doorway to the bedroom I swear we were communicating thru mental tellepathy...however I was heavyly medicated due to my cancer so I remain a bit skeptic ......but paranormal stuff is very real

This is my first post so I hope I'm not rambling here but...

I'm not sure I'm so much of a believer but I am not a non-believer. Does that make sense to you all?
I WANT to believe, but I have never experienced anything that has grounded my beliefs.
I have done some ghost hunting and such when I was younger and even had a few strange occurrences in a former home, but nothing concrete.
However I keep an open mind and am always looking for interesting books or research materials.
After all our science of today was the magic of yesterday. Who's to say the things we believe are impossible aren't just things we haven't discovered yet.
We are constantly learning things that make the sci-fi channel look less 'fi' and more 'sci'

Do I believe in UFOs? That's a little different.
To believe we are the only intelligent life in the whole the universe is arrogant at the least. But I doubt we are being visited because really, as far as intelligent life forms go, why would others bother with Earthlings who would obviously be less evolved that they would unless it was for Earth's resources. And then if they could just fly in and take whatever they wanted why would they bother to stay out of the public eye? *shrugs*

Just my two cents.

It is good to keep an open mind and subject your self to learning more and more the learning never stops unless you close that door (your mind ) I also believe that children are more like recievers they can see more cause thier minds have not been currupted into that it dont exist stuff yet once your told its not real and you believe it the whole world is closed to you.

Yet it should be noted that it is a general consensus that when a spirit is conjured (i.e Ouija board), that area recives more activity.

And in a way vice versa. Many Occult activities are done in places of spiritual activity in hopes of drawing upon their energy.

Well let us stick to the facts-Aliens are bouncing around everywhere and yes they hide in places like VR...
(very badly!)
In our own galaxy they now say there are 800,000,000,000 planets so even if only 1% have life there are a trillions of Bugs and EMF entities. These entiies pop up and are to all intense and purposes "supernatural"
Worse still...there are Billions of galaxies.

So not only is our own world over populated but so is the Universe. My understanding is that VR, along with various other measures is being used to grade humans.
So far we are a level 1.1 species.
Sounds great until you realise it is out of ten.
For instance, 1.9 can navigate through Air, Liquid, Land.
2.4 have telepathic abilities
2.9 Telekenisis.
4.7 Space travel
6.6 Multidimensional travel.

At 1.1 we are judged as untrustworthy and violent; just above dogs so come on folks can you please show a bit of Class!

I believe that many things deemed paranormal, are in fact not.Things such as spirits and other things like telepathy,empathy etc...are natural and very much a part of our universe .

i believe in spirts as well as ufo's. because i have had experiences with both when i was a child during the summer my family and i would sit out in the backyard in the evenings and look at the stars. well one night i was out back with my family and i was looking out near where my next door neighbors house is and saw a lot of light floating just above the trees and there was something floating right there and slowly it came up and floated away and then again it looked round and my family saw it too but they would deny it to this day but i believe it was a UFO. as for spirts i have seen them around my house and not just that i have an entity following me wherever i go even though i am a pagan i think that spirts are attracted to the energy raised in the circle as for an ouigji board i have had spirts come and literally send things crashing to the ground and not just that my friends and i have accidently contacted a demon and it has been following me and my friends ever since it got through but i have a couple of entites following me but this is not to say that some become attached to you but then again some do and it can be quite scary when it starts following you and that it has followed you since childhood

I do believe in what some call the paranormal. There is no absolute definition as to what is normal but that's my opinion.

I have personally experienced interacting with a real ghost once and only once that I am positive about. I was 9 and we had the neighborhood haunted house. 3 of us were dared to go in after several of the kids saw an old woman in the rocking chair. 2 of us saw the woman disappear in front of our eyes.

I don't necessarily believe in UFO's. That's not to say I believe that we are the only creatures in the entire universe. I just don't see the point to coming to a planet so torn by violence and destruction.

why do I believe? because there's two much out there, to suggest that for years, they have lied .. and, for me, that says... there's UFO's... ghosts... another story...

i will say that i have had experience with ghosts, demons, spirts from my family as well as the ocasional alien. though my recolection of the ghost in my grandparents house started i believe when i was about 3 years old when i was walking down the stairs of the house i heard footsteps behind me i looked to see if my grandmother had followed me down and no body was there. my second recolection of the entity that has been following me for years is when i started college and i was at home on the night of my 18th b-day and i was asleep the next thing i know i woke up for some reason at 12am and turned on my light and it get even stranger here cause my 2 cats were standing on the foot of my bed on either side of my feet then all of a sudden i hear bells going off like someone had set off either a gong or church bells but bells rang 18 times and my cats were standing at attention looking straight ahead looking at something i didn't see but felt it there i believe it was the next day i went to target and i sensed someone or something following me so it took a number of hours before i told my dad i told him at 11pm that night and whats weird is i started to have a reacurring dream then the dreams stopped only before i moved to my grandparents house did the end of the world dreams start up again but in no way i know what may happen next

I was attempting to draw on information from Wiki leaks because they had stated that they were going to release classified documents about UFOs earlier this year. Only to hear that they are now not going to release information due to outside influences.

Something about national security!

I thought that the whole point of wiki leaks was to inform the masses about the deception and corruption of our Governments!

Though we know they are fibbing buggers anyway, shame we haven't got the balls to do something about it like they have in the Middle East.

Still no proof of ghosts with all this technology, you would think that they would have got something concrete by now! I haven't been able to!

I can help you there my Ban friend, also this ones for oceanne. You wiull recall we discussed at length about how the Rendlesham forest incident had been investigated by independents from the BBc etc and the evidence showed the events DID without a shadow of doubt occur and the craft was tracked on radar.

They released the UFO stuff, with all "the factories" false non-sense but the real stuff on Rendlesham went missing! SOTFLmao....we never expected that eh....

The missing files relate to a report of mysterious lights from US servicemen at RAF Woodbridge in Suffolk in 1980.
The disappearance came to light with the release of 8,000 previously classified documents on UFOs.

very intresting but i have always believed in the paranormal even as a young child as i have said before i have seen a UFO hovering above the tree line in my neighbors backyard but even now i haven't seen one sence so even though i have seen one it is entirely possible that the goverment wants to hide everything that goes bump in the night even i know what i have experienced with out a doubt and i also think that there are things we can not explain such as demons, aliens, angels, even the gods of old and the governments all around the world are trying 2 cover up even maybe lost technology or even alien technology who knows though all i have to say is even if the goverments of the world are hiding things i wonder what would happen if these things escaped

I think the government is trying to cover up UFO apperances, but why is a really good question! I think religious bigotry, as the previous poster said, is the reason behind the cover ups.

i think it is because of bigotry but also i think they are hiding more than just UFOs i also think they are hiding other things as well such as alien technology and much more but that is just the start who knows what else they've got hidden for all we as the people know they could be hiding demons as well as whatever they can get their hands on in my veiw it is also the fact that they don't wantus to know what is really out there but also could be a conspiricy theory that they are afraid that the world will go into utter chaos but then again we are pretty much there we as people suffer while they live comfort

for the last 5years theres been a young boy spirit around my place, that tends to play with my children, i havent seen him myself only glimpses from the corner of my eye kinda thing, but other ppl have, i know its not just imaginary friend as my son was around 3 at the time of seeing this little boy and my daughter who is now 2 also see's the same little boy who chases her around and giggles alot. theres been moments when my children havent been around and me and friends have heard nursery rhymes being hummed. im not scared as i feel relaxed. except for a certain part in my place where everybody who comes round feels very uncomfortable in that spot. not sure what is there but its very uncomfortable, my friends little girl said she saw a black cat shadow vanish there.

so yeah from first hand experience i believe in spirits.

I do believe in spirits and always have even since I was little. When I was 3, I told my mom that I could see my dead grandmother's face in my ceiling when I was sleeping. I never forgot that story. I have also heard strange noises coming from my apartment also. Other than my encounter at age 3, I haven't seen any spirits, but I do believe they exist.

I also have watched television shows which document ghosts and spirits such as: Creepy Canada, Unsolved Mysteries and Paranormal State.

Yes I personally believe in both spirits and UFO’s, or more so the existence of intelligent life outside our solar system. I believe in spirits for many reasons, but namely from past experience that I could not determine another cause for. Things I have seen heard and felt as well as others with me at the time has all built a foundation of belief in my mind. At the same time I love to consider the scientific side of it and look for other options to explain the situations. I look at both sides of the equation and in a sense agree with both sides. It is in our nature as humans to feel if it cannot be explained by science it must not exist, but at some point many things could not be explained by science and in fact later were proved as technology advanced to be truth. Does occult type activity give rise to paranormal? I think if spirits exist anyone truly willing to listen to them will catch their attention.
As on the topic of UFO’s people see them all the time, objects in the sky that we cannot explain. Are they all aliens coming to visit us here on earth, I highly doubt that. Have we ever been visited by a higher evolved species from another world, probably at some point in time yes I think we probably have. To think that we are the only intelligent living species in the entire universe is very unethical and closed minded? Even science will tell you, life does not just suddenly begin; there are many theories that the initial life here on earth may be alien and that the bacteria initially began here arrived by meteorite, hence there is life elsewhere. Religion tells a very different tale of how life began, but even religion speaks of other worlds beyond our reach and an origin of creation.

I believe in the paranormal. Mainly because of the experiences I have had with it through out my life. For only being 19 I have experienced a lot of the paranormal. Mostly spirits, some, possibly demons.

I understand people who don't believe, I really do. It is hard to believe in something that you can't see, or touch. But I'm positive that they do exist, whoever they are, and that they are watching us, and waiting. For what i don't know, but I'm sure it's something, otherwise, why would they be here.

I have been a firm believer of spirits from a very young age. I have been told that when I was about 3 or so, my parents could hear me having a conversation in my room and there would be no one else but me in there. Could it have been an imaginary friend? Who knows. Paranormal? possibly. Just about every home that I've lived in has been occupied by spirits. The last house I lived in was haunted by a little boy that was hit by a car and killed instantly right in front of the house. My room was once his bedroom. We had blinds up on the windows and every once in a while you could see that the bottom part of the blinds had been moved. And it was at about the height of a small child.

So, definitely no skepticism on this end.

I can't say anything about occult practices but do believe in paranormals and even experienced it in balanced mind state. ufo is fus about civilizations staying away from earth's human species.

I do believe in it, because I've seen proof. As for ghosts never met one so until i do it remains iffy.

So I am a firm believer in spirits and ghosts, but I have to take a look at the other side as well. The mind being an advanced organ that can perceive and create images that seem very real, is it not possible that our minds are creating these types of images due to something in our surroundings that we are not aware of such as electromagnetic fields. It has been said these can make you see things. I know in my field almost everyone who spends the night at a power substation will start seeing things after a couple hours of being there and exposed to the electromagnetic fields. Is it possible that these ghosts and spirits we are seeing are actually created by our minds? How do we overcome this and show more proof that it is not a hallucination we are experiencing? To prove a theory we need more evidence than just visual encounters due the variables involved.

I agree with you UTV.Another thing to consider is that these things might not be "paranormal " in nature and not caused by some magical process,but actually a very normal and common part of our natural universe.There are indeed are physics that support what people have been experiencing,but could never proove or even begin to understand..
I just dont think people are ready to accecpt that it could very well be something that might be explainable in science terms and happens in the "mundane"world.To everyone as opposed to only the gifted.

as I beleive everything is energy and a vibration of energy, I beleive paranormal is energy that some can controle, or see, and that energy can be the essence of a dead being, or a demon's essence an angel or other creature that their energy is or was strong enought ot remain around and act or react to us
