i had a dream about something happening to my daughter it was very intence i just wanted your insight on if i should take it as a preminion or what?

Well it depends on what the feel of the dream was. If you've had premonitions before, then the feel should be the same.
Either way, even if its not, do whatever you can to nudge the situation in a positive direction. Precautions, you know.

i havent had such a intence dream in a few yrs the last time my hubby and daughter got in a car accident and it came true i am really scared because this time my daughter gets raped.

dreams don't always mean what you think they mean. Like if you dream of a death then if could mean a death of a friendship and not the person. Or if your worried about something your mind puts it into dream form. Look at all the signs from the dream to find the real meaning.

most dreams are only dreams, why it affect us more when we dream of our own family or loved ones is simply because they are close to us we notice it mroe, usually when see some stranger we dont pay as much attention.

ok what i seen was my daughter going to house with this guy he is tall with dark hair about 20's and she knew him couldnt see is face just his back and he wanted to show her something in his house and when she went in he grabbed her and pushed her down on the couch and ripped her clothes off and raped her. if any of this helps

Not all dreams are premonitions. If we look at a purely statistic break down, the chance that what you saw is going to happen is extremely rare. However, last I checked 1 and 4 women are sexually abused at some point in their life, so it never hurts to buy some mace and tell your daughter to be careful.

thanx meeper she is only 14 so i do worry but it most likely is a warning of some kind i have had these before and about 85% come true that's what scares me.

85% of your dreams come true? Most people distort there sucesses because they fail to remember all of the incorrect dreams. I'm not saying that it isn't a premonition, but we are humans and our memories are not 100% exact.

sometimes a higher percent i was just giving you a example and i only have these dreams once in awhile only when i need to know something i dont know why they come to me like this but they do. And i remember every detail of my dreams every time.

I think dreams are very interesting and can even be fun to dwel on and analyze. Personaly I don't worry too much about dreams because they are so proned to suggestion. For me they can be disturbing if they seem real at the time but that is it. I don't think I have ever actually predicted the future through a dream.

It depends actually..Dreams are after all subconscious experience of sequence of images,sound,emotions etc...You might have seen some body's death on T.V before sleeping.....nonetheless its always wise to take precautions and take extra care of your child...

Premonitions are hard to determin, but most likely you just had a messed up dream i would not think about it, everyone has bad dreams like that, but it does not mean it is going to come true...

well as said before they might not mean what ya think maybe it is her being raped of here pride or self esteem .. not a pyshical rape.. maybe some one is picking on her verbally and that to is something that should be looked at because being my father verbally abused me as a kid.. it is something i live with all my life that is why we dont talk much...

This dream could mean many different things... It may not have anything to do with your daughter at all...But you....
or even a close friend...

The rape could be a raping of self esteem.
Or some other factor that makes one feel helpless.

i never thought about that butterfly&noc maybe it meant that and not pysical rape and maybe it wasnt her but me or kim.

deff take precaution when you have dreams like that. Keep a record of them and go back to flip through them. i keep tabs on all the dreams i can remember.

to give you a heads up on this i havent had this dream again and i am confendent that she is safe atleast for the time being it hasnt came true so i will contiue to watch over her and protect her and hope that it wont come true.

Wow.. I've had dreams like that, but the situation was reversed. All I can say, is watch for signs, as many have already posted. Tell her about your dream, and keep her included and she can try and be careful to keep this from happening.

as a parent it is never to late or early to teach ur children stranger danger even if ur dream comes to naught but children must know the dangers of certain actions of others i know that most dont want to teach their children of fear but in this day and age it is a must

Dreams have so many diffrent meansing when I dream something the opposite happens...just watch carefully is all you can do.

I think you just have to go with your gut on this one..... Your heart will let you know when to worry and when to relax. If you are worried there is probably good reason. Talk with your daughter about it. Educate her on trusting people and not. Teach her self defense.

I've had many dreams that have came true. But, always a few months to a year after. I have yet to have a bad dream that came true though. I would take it a sign and be cautious.

Alot of dreams are just from your own stress or buried fears thoughts etc from you sub-conscience yet there are few who have the ability of visions ..

Your daughter will be fine. Dreams are either a way for us to intepret what is going on, or a way for us to see things we need to watch for. If you know what to watch for you can find the answer as to what to do.

I'm sure things will be fine but just keep an closer eye on your child just to be on the safe side. In most cases dreams like are just our own hidden fears coming to life in the dream. Try not to worry to much.

i would yes because somtimes things come to us when we least expect them to happen and that is a way to make us aware of wut is going on with our surroundings and such
