im not sure if this has been done before, but i was just reading about some alien abductions and wondered what you all think of them..do you believe that they ever really happened?.. the specific one i was reading about was the Betty and Barney Hill abductions..They remembered their abduction by being hypnotized..then told their story from there..ive always thought there was some other life out there but if its really true then why dont we have real proof... why havent they made themselves known to everyone, not just a select few?

And............to continue from the end of the last thread, yes i can understand where you are coming from Wiccanpothead about human nature and the film being broadcast is probrly why any possible aliens which are close by haven't said 'hello', as they are under the impression that we would attack and undoubtly some people would out of fear, but i would like to believe that we are advanced and mature enough now that we could handle a 'first contact' situation. As the shining as said, we are certainly prepared for it after the area 51 stories.

I will admit that many of us do believe that aliens are out there. In fact I personally believe they are watching us, but because people are allowed to think differently, thankfully, not everybody is ready. Some can't handle the idea of aliens because it is enough to send some people jumping off buildings cause they can't handle the fact that humans aren't the center of the universe.

So you may be ready, and me too, but there are people out there who will never be ready.

All we can do is trust the future to the next generation, and try to change today for the better.

Amen to that..if this planet surives to the next generation the way things are going with climate change.

well i think the reason they have not made themselves known to everyone is that the world is not ready for that knowledge. and until they are ready for it i dont think that they will ever be revealed to everyone.

Good point Wiccanpot head, after all, there has been more sightings made in the last 20 years than in any othre period of history....of course, before then people proberly thought they were signs from god or something, lol

Got an idea.........send out a mass media film of the footage from hubble's deep field, then people can decide if we are alone in the universe or not, then most people i would think would expect a 'knock knock' on out planetary door, Lol

well said, we certainly do need more open minded people..... good luck with that one.... most people i run across are just stupid. with the exception of a lot of the people on here.

id love to know if there was to be an alien attack but we wont no cause the goverment cant see two planes come in and crash into two buildings, less aliens

but i can run that all day about are goverment .. who wants to say there blind or are we that stupid to see the truth even if it smacks us right in our face and still be in denile..

there has to be something out there and i believe we are to dam violent here and the out siders no it..

I totally believe in the fact of aliens exist. People just are afraid to think that there is anything that could be more intelligent then us LOL

i belive we are alone and these creature only live in poeples minds

it is a vast universe and think about it why would we be the only planet that has life on it

i agree with you we cannt be the only planet in the whole universe that has life on it...and the other planets that contain life may be advanced enough to have inter-galactic travel tech...we dont though...barley making interplanetary travel right now

I think there could be other life out there. THe universe is huge and we haven't sen everything. THe thing is, I don't know about alien abductions. I think most of those people are looking for attention or have mental disorders of some sort. Maybe some of them are abducted. I think if there are other life froms out there, there is a reason we have not come into close contact. I also think if there is intelligent life, they are probably smarter than us, and then why would they abduct us? We would be lower in intelligence so what would they have to learn from us? Sorry, if this offends anyone...just my opinions.

Statistically speaking the average population of the universe is zero. There is an infinite number of worlds but not all are inhabited. Therefore the number of inhabited worlds must be a finite number. Any finite number divided by infinity equals zero. On the other hand the odds against this being the only planet with life would be infinity divided by 1 which equals infinity or infinity to 1 against. I don't know about the rest of you but I wouldn't want to bet against those odds.

I believe we are not alone in the universe, how can we be it is so hugh and we havent even scratched the surface yet.

PPL tend to keep sightings and abductions to themselves because when they have told ppl they are made out to be insane. The government has brainwashed us into believing there is no such thing and now we have a fear of what is really out there.

I also agree that they are out there. I also believe that there have been Alien abductions. I agree with who said that they're slowly letting us know about them, and that they have something planned for us. It's a bit scary when you think about it. I don't think I'm up to meeting Aliens!

Out of all the planets, solar systems, etc in the universe, we can not be the only ones. I, personally, believe more in Gene Roddenberry's star trek type of reality. Many different species out there, some civilized and some not.

I total agree with you bonyard, after all sections of the universe wer'e created over different periods of time, therefore each planet is a different age so it would make sence that levels of technology, culture etc are varying as well. As to said we are all alone in the entire universe, Lol

Alien abductions do not occur without a trace, in fact over the years a large amount of evidence has been collected. Cows and other livestock are sometimes found dead, with no apparent injuries; however they are missing all internal organs and blood. No known animal can cause such damage, and even if they could they would leave some sign of injury. This leads us to believe that it was an alien abduction, and in fact all attacks like this occur in areas with recent UFO sightings. A few people even claim that they have seen UFO's abduct livestock, and then return to Earth dead and dry.

Exactly, Earth cannot be the only planet in the entire universe life exists on. Just when you think of the size of the universe, it's mathmatically impossible.

The odds of life existing on other planets is slim, let alone the odds of finding life that had the ability to travel here.

Perhaps the lights are secret government missions or other as yet unexplained natural occurences.

I would imagine, due to the size of the Universe and the billions of galaxies and stars, that there are some other planets besides this one where life began. Basic life, at the cellular level is really all about chemistry. I would also imagine that some of this life evolved into sentient beings such as ourselves. The sheer numbers involved would lend itself to it. Are these beings watching us? Can they travel the distances involved? Those are the bigger questions.

if they were real then i think some people would shun them just like some do the jews ,the blacks and the whites
