has anyone heard of the black eyed folk?

I once read a tale by a lady who said she was in her bedroom reading, when she heard a knock at her front door.She had glanced at her bedside clock and in had read 23:45 so she was puzzled at who would know on her door so late, she had a very strong feeling as she got out of bed not to go down and answer her front door. so instead she opened her bedroom window and to her shock saw to children about 4 and 7 years old, when she saw their eyes they where black with no whites or irises just black. she asked them what they wanted and they said they wanted her to let them in she told them no not until they told her what they wanted, they then looked mournful and asked to use her toilet, she had told them no and to go home. she then shut the window and curtains but still felt them outside of her home for a moment the disappear leaving only the feeling of deep despair and hate.

does anyone else have a story about the black eyed folk?

Apparently the black eyed folk are beings from a darker side of our world,they seem to see if they can get people to go with them or let them into their homes/cars, people who have gotten into a car with these folk or allowed them into their homes or never seen alive again.

Holy frejole! That would be about as creepy as they come. The only time I have seen anything like this was in the movies, never real life. Thanks for getting my curiosity piqued now though.

Did she say anything more? Did she check with the folks next door or tell any friends about it to see if they had heard of it?

Nope, never had that experience. All that sounds weird and creepy.

That would be kinda neat to see, i wish I'd open my door to see them i'd invite them in for some black tea. You never know maybe they were just some weirdos who go around knocking on peoples door's with black contacts to see if they can get a rise out of anybody.

The only time I have ever heard of anything like this is in the movies or on tv shows. I've never seen/heard of creatures like this in real life. I will have to do some research and see what I can find on it.

My great-grandmother (from Scotland) would put out honeyed milk, for the “wee ones” and you had to be careful of the “black eyed ones, for them there is no appeasing”

Not to be a spoiler here, but your tale does not tell how far away her bedroom window was from her front door. It was late night and problebly dark so maybe she could only see black pits where eyes should be.

But then again, creepy none the less.

A popular UFO writer consaltant and his friend encountered a girl Trixie and her claims drew this guy in.She had as her prop Full Black Eye contacts.I will try to find a link when I can. As a way to spook someone I could see kids using them like explained in your forum.
They could have planned it better though,then just doing it like they did.I think your friend handled it graciously.

I have been intrested in the shadow people for sometime and still seek specifics in that area.I also can tell you where to get full eye contacts.as wll as skin Implants.Great idea for people who like to spook people.

I'm not familiar with it, and would like to know how far back these stories go, as well as where the first stories came from. The stuff I'm finding online really isn't very informative.

They were not children they take whatever form they feel you will let into your life . They can take the form of a loved one alive or dead. This is not meant to be rude at all but i am very surprized on this sight that so many dont know of these demons. there is a change going on at this time where more and more will be able to see ,feel ,smell . The gateway is thin at this time. Learn all you can to portect yourself and the ones you love.
Also i hear no word on the forums of the year 2012.

I've heard of the phenomena, and have heard it from many people through out the world. It gives you the chills, but that does not mean it is evil or bad, Merely that you find it creepy. In the story, it is easy to dismiss most of it as rational fear. Its late, why would someone want in? Maybe a burglar, or a killer, or an ex. Open the door and see some physically "altered" children, thats creepy. Then getting freaked out and feeling FEAR, not their presence, for a while afterwards. People have always hated what they fear, why should this be different. Perhaps the mutation is why they are out so late. Thats when they CAN be out because its dark. If the black parts are so big, the sun must hurt them something terrible. So naturally, they must not go out in the day. Same as children with hypersensitivity to light. This is just an obvious disorder, whatever it may be. My main concern though is that there is little or not doctorial studies or whatnot about it...

That reminds me of the movie The Village of The Damned. Or I think that's the title of the movie. If I saw one outside my window, I'd probably freak, then take a picture to see if I could...Oh god!!! What a thought! What if that who stealing a part of your soul thing is true about cameras. So would that mean if I took a picture it would come out of the camera...GAH!!!! Stop the thoughts!!!

i think the common theme, though, is if you see one:

1. don't let it inside or in your car.

2. don't act like you've noticed it, just move on and continue about your business.

well, the stories online have a common thread....the thing or things go nuts, they scream and follow you, if you don't let them in your car or house, but only if you can still see them and they can see you. if you walk off or are shut in your house, they will persist, but not try to "bust in". out in public, they act more covert but try to catch your eye in a seeming form of "mind control". if i ever see one, i'm going to keep on walking, or not let them in my house or car.

I have never experienced this or even heard of this. It kind of reminds me of that show, supernatural, because all of the demons that they face have black eyes. But yeah I have never heard of any thing like this actually existing.

I've heard the same sort of stories. The "Black-Eyed" children will try and con a person into letting them inside in order to drain the life or soul from him/her. I've also heard that they can be particularly persistent and drive a person insane and eventually towards suicide because of the intense feelings of mourning or sadness. Supposedly, they're the lost souls of children who's parents abandoned or killed them out of love so they search for adults with good hearts and souls in hopes of finding a parent.

Village of the Damned and Children of the Corn, is where I have seen this before but never really paid it any attention as far as that goes.

I am thinking that these are the eyes of a demon or something like that. That is the only thing that would make since to me.

There is one other movie that I have seen this in as well. The Covenant. A story about witches. very interesting though because the eyes in the movie are a sign of power.

Well it is an old world myth that the faerie folk would change them selves into people and then trick them into doing what they wanted then killing them.

It has been said that if you let these children into your house or car, you will die. There has never really been an explanation as to why the children’s eyes are black.

Reminds me of that film "Wicked Little Things" too. It's sort of like the urban legends where people pick up strangers only to have them dsappear on them at some point...but worse, since you disappear with the brats as well.
I know if a group of creepy kids come around my place, I sure in the hell ain't gonna' open the door for the lil' buggers! Like, why in the hell would 'normal kids' roam about in a pack at night - when it's not Halloween?

Sounds like a trip. I'd be scared yes, and no...I wouldn't let them into my home, but even still, it kinda reminds me of a lot of demon stories. They usually have black eyes. A lot of horror movies and what not incorporate that black eyed dealie into their movies, making their main fright have all black eyes. Even in the Covenant, a movie about male witches, they have black eyes when they use their powers. So yeah. I've never heard of that particular story though.

Yeah that's a first for me too and I'm not sure I would have wanted them in my house. I wonder what would have happened if she allowed them to come inside?

I get the feeling that letting them inside would have been a mistake. The reason? Well I know that most of the folklore that comes down into the movies is crap, but letting a vampire into your house renders you powerless according to some sources (internet based, so take it with a grain of salt). Perhaps the same is true here?

I hadn't heard about this either until I read this.. so naturally interested, I looked to see what other information I could find. In Burnt Oak on Thursday, we were in a news agent just looking around when this little old Asian lady came in (she wearing a coat with her hood up) and asked if we could give her a hand with her car. Her English was very broken but she got those few words out. We looked at each other, my friend and i and followed her out the shop.
We followed her down a road about 20 yards when we thought it was getting a bit odd as it seemed quite far away and she started to speed up. At that point mt friend said "oi, how far is it". At that point she stopped, turned around with a massive grin on her face and we nearly shit ourselves because her face seemed to have changed and her eyes were black! We turned and legged it back up the street like a couple of girls

We told a friend of ours at work about this woman and he said a friend of his had a similar experience in the same area "

It still probably wouldn't be a good idea to let this type of person into your house or car, or willingly follow them to where ever.
