We are looking forward to the next Drac Ball at Shampoo in Philadelphia on January 13th. This edition is featuring Cesium 137 and Bella Morte as well as DJs Voodoo, Addam Bombb, and Azrael.

Any one else planning on going? We always have a great time.

Is there a site or way to learn more about this? Considering that it is not too far away, I may think of getting involved....

ehh i hear about a lot of issues that go on with the under 21 crowd (thankfully im over 21), i'd keep my distance from the young ones there, cause they like to cause bs......

I know how much FUN the ball held in Phoenix in Octber was - so I highly recommend ya'll go to this ball and meet each other and a wonderful time!!!

This is an "all ages" event and the younger kids can get a little worked up, but I've never had a problem. There is a seperate area downstairs for adults only and we usually hang out there except during the 2 band sets.

Well, we'll have to see, maybe if we find a sitter, we can make it....it's been a year+ since our last visit to Drac's Ball....we saw Anders Magna....

We've never had a problem with attending ourselves, since we ignore the kids, stay downstairs mostly, walk up to do the 'loop', see the bands, and then wander into the bowels of Shampoo again.

Besides the upstairs dancefloors always play the same shite.

Like I told our dark fairy friend..lol, my husband and I may bring along a troop and come...maybe even stay the night in philly. Here's wishing we can work out the babysitter deal with a family member.

It sounds awsome and would love to attend. Im going to look into some research on it and see what its all about.

The more thought I put to it, the more I'm convincing myself to go. My main concern is the 1.5 hrs drive back home after the event.

I am actually working on trying to go myself. I already have a place to stay.... I guess I just have to figure out how to get there, and home... a ticket.... and what in the heck will I wear? LMFAO! Nah I really am working on trying to go myself... I think it would be fun.

They have this event several times a year, and always with bands and guest djs....this is the first for the year (Jan 13th), then there will more than likely be one for Valentine's, then Memorial, then July 4th, Veterans, Halloween, and soforth...

The 2nd Dracula's Ball for 2007 will be May 19th. They usually have another around Labor Day and the final one for the year is on Halloween.

We try to get there a little before opening time so that we can secure a free parking space in the lot. The only time we had to pay to park elsewhere was on Halloween when we got a late start. There is a excellent crowd there and we never fail to run into several people we know from the Philly Goth scene.

They typically have 2 bands with shows at around 10:00 and at Midnite. They have various vendors set up selling dark wares as well as a set up to sell CDs and shirts etc from the featured bands, which they will be available to autograph after the shows. They also have contests throughout the evening giving away CDs, shirts etc.

It is an ALL AGES event but there is a seperate loft area on the main floor and an entire seperate downstairs reserved for those over 21.

We are going to pick up our tickets at the Digital Ferret on Saturday on our way to Ulana's. We have to take advantage of our college age girls to watch our son so we can get a night out before they return for Spring semester!

Cool, I will be getting out there early so I can take in the sites and familiarize myself with the area. I will definitely look for you.

There is no age restrictions. Those under 21 are not allowed in the downstairs area where there are 2 bars, and also in a loft area on the main floor where there is an additional bar.

There is no dress code, but most people will be dressed in Dark, goth or fetish style.

Finally got around to picking up out tickets last night at the Digital Ferret. We got a few CDs while we were at it!

On Monday Digital Ferret (and likely IsoTank.co, although they couldn't confirm 100%) will have tickets for a very special "Nocturne Wednesday" on Valentine's Day called "Love or Lust", also at Shampoo featuring Ayria, Angelspit and, The Cruxshaddows! Tickets are only $10.00!

They hold the event 4 times a year.

In January, around memorial day, around labor day and on Halloween.

If anyone who is going would like to meet up at the event might I suggest that the Over 21 crowd meet near the bar to the right of the downstairs DJ booth (to the right when standing in front and looking at the DJ). The Under 21 crowd on the raised area by the vendors in the upstairs area. We can all try to get together about 20 min before the first band set where the under 21 crowd meets.

If anyone else has a different opinion, please feel free. I'm very flexible, but would certainly like to meet any VR folks at the event.

We were looking for you MistressAlice, but didn't see you. We did meet up with erebus and Ankhenanset and her Merry Band of folks!

My ears are still ringing as we ended up standing WAY to close to the speakers for Bella Morte's set.

We had to leave around 1:15 to get home to bed as DAG is now driving our eldest daughter back to college.

I had a great time. It was cool meeting Ankhenanset, KCRC and his wife. I got back home about 5AM Sunday morning. Will definitely do it again.

Wow, I loved meeting you guys last night...all my friends we happy to have met you all as well....sorry we had a few snafus (aka drunk jared), who ended up in the hospital at 6 am, a very LONG story, and Erebud, you are the best! (he helped us get back to the hotel, and fetch food, as well as cater to Jared).

We would love to get together again, perhaps for dinner, maybe moroccan, or a night at the movies, even Shadowlands, where it's less crowded and noisey.....
