I was thinking about possibly setting up a Buffalo, NY Vampire Rave meetup if I could locate enough people to attend. If you live in the area, please make yourself known. Post a reply here and then send me a message. If you just post here, I might not get it if this thread gets buried.

I'll be out there from the 17th through the 19th of July. Possibly the 20th as well. My schedule will be kinda tight though.

I will be busy seeing Les Claypool at the Ballroom on Saturday the 18th. I might be up for a pre-game, or possibly a post-game, shindig though.

The owner of Second Skin closed down the shop and sold the space to a dog groomer when he opened Diablo as he did not have the resources to run both stores.

Regardless, there are a lot of things to do in Buffalo, if some people can't make it to one meeting, others will make it to another.

Now, as to meet-ups in Buffalo. There is plenty to do in and around town and if you have a personal reason as to not go to one place or another that's fine. I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunities to meet.

There is a in the square after party at Diablo again. JAGERMEISTER giveaways, no cover, ect. FYI, Los Lonely Boys are scheduled to play in the square tonight starting at 6pm.

Sounds like a plan to me. I would go to the square today, but that place has really gone downhill from a couple years ago. I'll be at the park on saturday though, I live about a 10 minute walk from there.

IDK, what people want to believe is on them. I have had... not so good experiences with Jesse and that is why I don't feel comfortable about that place. But I can suck up if it means meeting you lovely folks.

This is why we spoke quickly to put a stop to such statements. I have researched and I see no outright proof that any such charges have been placed against anyone. If you do not feel safe going somewhere, please simply state that and we will respect it.

Does anyone else have any ideas? What about just a night on the town? We could probably find a cool restaurant that stays open late and then afterwards roam around downtown.

There is a lack of gothic genre clubs. Diablo is about it on the scene these days from what I can tell. Unless someone knows of an underground place... but not "The Underground"... but that's a different story.

The other option is just hang out on the Chip-Strip and pub crawl... there are a lot of fun places to hit on a Friday or Saturday night.

Hahah, we should totally go to Underground ;-P My best friend lives above there.

We should look up events for Diablo, something probably for 16+ instead of 18+ in case there are teens in the area that wanna come too. I can live since Birra did make a point that it is probably the only Club in Buffalo that is fixed on the darker part of life.

I also heard there are Renissance Faires that go on, but I have no clue where they are at.

In this area, I don't think there are any Ren Faires. Sterling, NY is the closest one I know of but that is over an hour drive from here...

I could be wrong.. maybe someone else knows something more...

If we want a 16+ meetup, I say somewhere other than Diablo. Like... the Science Museum. Their parents can come too.

The science museum? I haven't been there in about 20 years (class trip, 2nd grade). That actually sounds like fun lol.

I myself, however, cast my vote for hitting the town. I miss Buffalo's nightlife, there was always something to do ♥

If a Buffalo meetup is scheduled, I would definitely want to attend.

Ohh museums. The Albright Knox Museum is pretty cool too, and free on Fridays.

I also dig just chillin downtown in the summer, on Chippewa, it's packed!

This is true... a Friday or Saturday night on the Chip would be a rockin' time...

So Jarek started this thread but hasn't posted to it since April 23.

Therefore no one is really taking a leadership position and organizing anything.

I'll throw out three ideas - everyone pick your favorite:

1. An evening downtown starting at Diablo and spreading out to a pub-crawl on the Chip

2. An afternoon at Albright-Knox and ending with a BYO picnic of sorts in Deleware Park

3. An evening at a bar/restaurant downtown (Like Pearl St., Hemmingways, City Grill, etc)

Hey birra, which one is the most inexpensive? I have just moved to ny. I was livin in Niagara Falls, but have moved to North Tonawanda. I have never been to Buffalo. I dont know where anything is. But I will try to find it to me all of you.
Also dont have alot of money, thats why I asked about the cheapest route.

The most inexpensive would probably be Albright Knox and Delaware Park, that way we don't go to a bar or anything or have to pay and get in and be tempted to buy drinks and such. Plus the art gallery is free on fridays.

So I vote for that. Ahhhh, shit. I might not be able to pick you up, cuz he has the car and he works monday through friday. But I'm sure the Elmwood busline is close to where you live and you can take it one straight shot down there. If you would like, I can check out what would be easiest for you to come down.

And I live extremely close to the Park and Gallery ;-P

lol which pubs? Unless you mean all the bars that go nuts on Chip. Especially after the square. IDK about that though cuz I know some of the bars like Soho ID before you get in. But if you're talking about bars on Elmwood like Merlins and stuff, then yeah they seem decent.

We could probably do a pub crawl at both the Chip and Elmwood. Free AKM admission on Friday afternoons, then we (those of age) could head back into the D/T area for a pub crawl.

Cheapest would be the art gallery for free admission night - I know I generally spend $20-$50 if restaurants, bars and drinking is involved

If we don't do this for about another month, I will most likely be switched over to day shift, which means I may pick up DeadDesire with XTC and we can run to the museum or where ever.

I wish we could have a vote box kind of thing, that would be so much easier. I might look one up and see if I can make one hehe.

I say we do the meet up on a saturday or sunday. I would say I could call off, but I just started my job and if I do that I'm screwed. I also say sat. or sun. because I work from 3 to midnight and I'm sure thats when it's going to be around.

Also, I like the idea of a restaurant or the gallery, clubs aren't really my thing any more.

Century Grill seems good. Because it is half bar and half restaurant. So we can get a 2 in 1 deal out of it.

I'd be fine with the Century Grill. Those who want to can go pub-crawl afterwards.

That or ask them if there is a section where we can add tables if more people show up, sadly even the NOLA meet up has several "for certains" just simply not show. So perhaps reserve a table for a few extra, and post the resturaunt's phone so those that are going can add themselves to the reservation?

Buffalo is nowhere near NYC. That's about a 6 hour drive.

I would call to make the reservations, but I'm on vacation right now that just doesn't sound... vacationy lol. I'll be back on the 18th though and do it if somebody else hasn't by then.

lol weren't as many people as I figured there would be from everyone sayin they were gonna come. But it was cool. Never been to city grill before so it was nice.

Good to see those who did make it out come out, Morri, Sahahria and I had a good time on the Chip-Strip until about 1AM... right around the time when Faeriemoon was able to join us after work.

But it was all good.

Club Diablo is having a fashion show tomorrow (August 28th) it starts at 10PM and is 18+. $3.00 admission.

I also went to the fashion show. It was great and I also had the pleasure of Morrigon's company for awhile. It was our first face-to-face meeting.
