Wow, I shall be looking forward to hearing more about this.
Vampire Vow tells the story of Victor Decimus, a Roman officer under Pontius Pilate, who falls desperately in love with the young Jesus but is ultimately rejected. In his rage, Victor turns on the citizens of Jerusalem in a frenzy of rape and violence, culminating in his transformation into a vampire. Two thousand years later, in the guise of a monk, he takes up residence in a rural American monastery where, in Brother Michael, he finds a hint of the love he has sought throughout his dark existence. But his rage, desires and vow of vengeance against the God of the Christians threaten everything he puts at stake. Midwest Book Review gave the novel five stars, calling it, "a literate, compelling, and original contribution to the horror fantasy genre, and strongly recommended."
That sounds very interesting. i shall have to read that book now i suppose.
at first when i read the title i was like ohhh no what is going on here but when i started reading into it started to sound like something that would be enjoyable to read
Very interesting how much christianity is mixed with vampirism, really.
wait.. it is a book but you said coming to a theatre... uhm speaking superfluously there or..?
Sounds intriguing nonetheless!
I think I'll add the book to my "must buy list" and the movie will defintely be on the gotta go see list.
Interesting to see how they can intertwine "homo sexuality" with Christianity. That would be a hard one to pull off without being hypocritical.
: smiles: will deffinatly have to check this out. Thanks for letting us know about it.
Priceless. At least the Vampire community won't be "rising up" against the homosexual undertones.
A gay vampire novel? Ok I have seen it all gay cowboys the village people now vampires? But come to think of it vampires in novels do really tend to go both ways with the erotic nature. Im not knocking this novel I red the link you provided and actually want to see it. But one question couldn't you say anne rice has did something like this already? Just a thought for everyone to meditate on. *thanks for the thread* ^o^
