Some days I'm simply amazed (even yet) at the childishness some people show here. A person that has been here long enough, yet resorts to play ground behavior as the easiest answer.
Maybe they were home schooled or just didn't learn that that sort of thing comes back to bite you on the arse. I suspect they will learn soon enough.

I was given a great surprise today and a great honor. Sabastion made me an assistant house master in Umbrae Octo. *big grin*
I sure didn't expect this, as he has some great members already working in the position. We're actually pretty blessed in UO, with smart and friendly people and a good reputation that has continued from Jason to Sabastion's reign and is well deserved.
We're an adult house with low drama and while some of our house rules may seem strict to others we enjoy the balance they provide between serious and fun play there.
Our alliance is great and those members from the Coven of Immortal Sin I have been lucky enough to speak with and get to know a bit are a wonderful addition.
Thank you Sabastion for the honor and I can only promise to try my very best for you and Umbrae Octo.

It just ran that Walter Cronkite has died at 92 at his home in New York, I'd heard he was very ill so it's not a shock or anything but it is a terrible thing to me.
I grew up listening to Walter report the news, even now I can picture the map of Vietnam in my mind behind Walter as he gave the daily death toll. But I also remember him reporting the Apollo space program which was a stop everything and watch type thing when I was young.
He's probably the only news person I ever truly trusted and believed in, probably due to the times changing but he always seemed to stay true to his belief in reporting the news, not slanting it to fit some other agenda.
I will miss the sound of his voice as it was a comfort to me to hear it. He talked about so many of the good memories and about the bad of my lifetime that I'll never forget him.
Cronkite was indeed legendary and his passing makes me wonder where all the real journalists have gone. Integrity, honesty, and straight forwardness were all cornerstones to his reporting. The world would be better off if we had a media comprised of watch dogs instead of lap dogs that spin news to ensure the most commercial revenue for the "news" channel.
I think it is appropriate that he passed away so close to the aniversary of the moon landing. I too grew up watching him- it's like loosing a trusted friend or family member. For most of us, he was the last thing we saw before being shooed off to bed...lol
Didn't know who he was, however he sounds like he did his job very well RIP

Was reading through journals and came across Cancer's and clicked the link sent me to the Bloody Feather site. Man I didn't even realize it was up and running already. I'm so behind in looking around the new sites and seeing what's happening on them. I love reading journals, it's one of the things that I fell in love with on VR to begin with and now here's all these new ones to look into.... I' ve got to get to it.
I'm still into reading journals big time, though now I stay logged in when reading them lol!

I'm one whipped kitty tonight. Left this morning just after dawn to take the kids into the city for a doctors apt then we went school clothes shopping.
4 year old boy, was fine with everything as long as it had a character on the shirt and was blue jeans.
The 12 year old girl (going on 29) on the other hand was like walking thru a mine field finding the right clothes and fit for her. That makes me look too fat, that makes my butt too big, too flat, too..... well you get it.
This shoe's too tight, that one's too loose (the same dang shoe & size) go figure! lol
Anyway got in late and fell in the chair now must somehow get out of these clothes and into my pj's and sleep to get up and head out town for another apt tomorrow. (different town so no motel would work) lol
Went out last night with Rat and Birdy, we went to our favorite chili-dog place (yes Puppy, they are still great)
You know it's funny when we get together our conversations tend to be similar always. We talk about our families, our work (well theirs) and friends and neighbors then our community and world news gets a hit or two.
Eventually we always end up talking about VR too, especially Rat and I. We discuss the jobs we do in our houses and on the site while Birdy offers intelligent or humorous comments.
But it never fails at some point the word nipple comes out of someone's mouth and there you go the conversation is set for a while. We always end up discussing the ones we've seen or not... and how hard it is sometimes to decide exactly what it is we're looking at. Rat of course is the expert and we end up bowing to her expert eyes.
You know I have to wonder sometimes what the folks at the adjoining tables think we're going on about from the wide path they give us.
Good JAYBUS I can remember all the heads we turned with our raucous discussions of sex, VR, and the world at large....I have never laughed SO hard in my life telling Scott about that. And TTTTHHHHPPPPTTTT for having chili dawgs without me...lol
I ran into this Trojan commerical over the weekend and while it's funny the best part of it was watching my neice trying to figure out what exactly it was all about and my sister looking over at me and saying "sure is wishful thinking" about the size. lol Enjoy the laugh if you've not already seen it.
We don't get adverts like that in the uk...how bloody long!!

It only took a couple of days over 3 years but I finally hit a number I really thought I'd have passed about a year ago but the change in Favor calculation took it's toll big time on how I previously earned it.
Favor earned: 50000.026
I still play hangman sometimes and boggled too and I had just begun to enjoy 5's but the new way is more fair to everyone I have to admit. *darn it* lol
