Lately my appetite has been unusually strong and so has my thirst, I've also been craving cheese a lot lately. So I've been doing some research into it because it's started worrying me. On the brightside I found it's nothing to be majorly worried about. I've known since I was a kid that I have a sodium deficiency, apparently my body doesn't absorb it from my food the way it's supposed to. I've also always known that a lack of sodium inhibits water retention. Apparently that can lead to nutrition imbalance and that's why I've been so overwhelmingly hungry on top of craving a sodium rich food like cheese.

Shit. It seems the starter on my car is going out. It started yesterday. Occasionally when I go to turn it on the starter just makes a revving noise and doesn't actually catch to turn the engine over. On the bright side the gears aren't grinding when that happens, they're just not touching at all. I think I'll have to replace it before too long but I don't have enough money to even buy the part and don't have the tools to do it myself even if I did and that would mean hiring a mechanic that I obviously can't afford anymore than the part. Damn. Hopefully it will last long enough or I don't know what I'll do.

I got asked if I would mind going home today, I don't know if it was due to my suckiness at the job or because of over scheduling or maybe even both. They had asked me yesterday if I would mind switching to a 9-5 shift because they had to many reps on the 2-9 shift but I wasn't inerested. I contacted the agency I got the job through today to let them know that it wasn't going to work and called the other agency that had something for me so who knows? On the bright side I'm not going to be out of work at all. The other agency got me a part time gig at Complete Nutrition pulling orders for 9.5 an hour and another gig starting next Saturday at 9 an hour so I'll be almost full time between the two. As icing on the cake they sent my info to a company who's looking for people for a warehouse position at 10 an hour for the duration that I'm with them for the temp gig and if they decide to hire me as a perm I get bumped to 12 an hour with great benefits. Sweet.

For a while now the front passenger door on my car has leaked when it rains, for some reason the top was bent outward. The other day the leaking got some papers that I needed wet and I decided that was the last straw. So I decided to fix it myself if I could. I opened the door, grabbed it around the point that I wanted it to bend at to brace it, and then grabbed the top and pushed it. Afterward I went to shut my door and it shuts flush now, I'm not sure if I should be happy or disturbed that I can reshape my car by hand.

Holy hell. They had us on the floor for 3 hours this afternoon making calls. This means that I've been out of training and actually doing what they hired me to do for 3 hours. I already want to quit. I've known that I'm not really a sales person but I didn't think it would be this bad. I'm going to try to stick with this but I don't know if I'll be able to make it through the whole day tomorrow, we'll see. I'm going to try but if it doesn't work I'm calling the other people to see what it was they were going to offer me.

Today was my first day at my long term full time job. Today was just training so it went from 12-5 and tomorrow will be the same but after that I'll be on from 2-9. I misunderstood the way they described the job to me when they made the offer, it's outbound sales to existing customers. I'll roll with it for now.
I got a little bit of an ego boost today at the job too. I overheard a couple of the girls in the training talking about me. It never hurts to get that kind of an ego boost.

A thought occurred to me a moment ago. The human eye essentially takes in various light waves and what not and then translates all into something our brains can comprehend. So if you think of it in terms of our brains being a computer and our eyes being and interface that's pretty profound. With this in mind I have an idea. What if we took something like Morse code and taught it to children at a young age. Then, using light flashes at high speeds and when the children are fluent, we could teach them unbelievable amounts of information in so little time. I do realize that this would bring a risk of seizures but you would have to make sure to do tests to make certain the students wouldn't die from the process. The other way I thought it might work is to do the same thing with sound since our ears also work as interfaces. Just think how much further science could progress if the average John only took a year to earn a degree in advanced physics instead of 8 or more, or how much faster we might be able to find a cure for caner or whatever. There is also the serious risk of something like that being misused and abused if it works but the potential good that could come from it might be worth it. It's something to think about.

I'm in one of those moods where I'm at a point where I could sleep if I tried but I don't really feel like it. The most annoying part is that I don't actually know if I'm tired or not. It could be that I'm tired but because I don't really feel like sleeping my mind is over riding it or it could be that I'm really not tired but I've been up long enough and I'm bored enough that I'm capable of sleeping at this moment. It could be a number of other possibilities too. I just wish I knew for sure if I was tired or not. I guess if I'm able to sleep now I should just do it and then it really won't matter either way.

As I was driving out of the lot I got a call from the temp agency telling me that I don't have to work tomorrow but I still get paid, apparently they didn't get the product for us to hand out tomorrow. That's cool with me, all I have to do is clock in and then do whatever I feel like and then go clock out. Sweet deal.

I start my first day of being back to work tomorrow. I'm both looking forward to and dreading it, it's not high on my list of desired jobs but money is money and I need it. I'll be handing out samples at Wal-Mart for the next few weekends, it pays $9 and hour so at least the wage is good. To add a little hope to the mix, I have an interview for Sam and Louie's New York Pizzeria on Monday and I'll be hearing back within the next day or so about a CSR position with some company who's name I can't remember straight away at the moment that will start on Monday if they're interested in me. So here's hopin'!

YES! I finally figured out which gas station it was that carries the 20oz Barq's root beer. I'm so happy! I've been craving it but I couldn't find where they carry 20oz bottles and I don't usually drink enough root beer to get a 12 pack and I don't like getting 2litres. I'm am a happy person. The same place has these really awesome beef sticks, they're juicy and delicious and not bad on the spicy.

I had a zombie dream last night, it was weird.
I went with 2 people to some compound (I don't know why) and once there we found it empty so we started looking for some guy. We tracked his spectral trail (?) down a hallway until we found it went through a hidden doorway and up some stairs to a a secret control center. We looked but he wasn't there but his trail ended in that room so we looked until we found a camera in the hidden window and realized he had seen us coming. Naturally that meant he had to have climbed the walls to hide by the ceiling, so we look up and we were right. The guy was clinging to the wall on either side and wearing a purple dress with fairy wings. We tell him to come down and ask him why he was hiding from us and that's when he tells us that everyone but him is dead because of a zombie. We all wigged out a bit but decided if we could make it until morning we would be safe because everybody knows zombies can't be out during the day (?). Then the power goes out because the facility is flooding so those three go to fix it while I cover them from the hidden room. The power comes back on and they get back and I find out we have internet, instead of emailing for help and telling people what's going on I log on to VR to write about it in my journal and post a warning in the forum that there might be a zombie outbreak... Yeah. Right after that day breaks so we leave for our cars, it's as if the flood never happened, and as we're walking through the parking lot there's the zombie. We try to run but it gets the guy and one of the 2 girls that came with me and then comes for me, I head butt it and it's skull caves in and that killed it. Now 2 of us are infected but we realize at that point that as long as they don't eat raw red meat they can stay in control during the day and they can be cured, so we keep them away from raw red meat and just as we were about to leave the phone rang and woke me up.
On side note, the girl that was with me that didn't get bitten by the zombie has been in a few dreams of mine. I can never remember her face when I wake up though.

A moment ago my Aunt's cat was getting into stuff he knows he isn't supposed to. The moment I get up to get after him he runs, the little fucker actually hissed and took a swipe at me when I tried to grab him. That pissed me off. So then I really tried to get hold of him and he ran again. That shit really pisses me off. Cats are about on the same level as young children and they know when they've done something wrong, for one to take a swipe at me and run just irks me. I know it's because she spoils her cats a little too much. GAH! I'm just really freaking annoyed right now, and what's worse is that I let the freakin' cat annoy me this much.

I'm exhausted, I'm in a whole lot of pain, my knee is swollen, and I'm sun burnt all over my head... and I couldn't be doing better!
Rockfest was fucking AWESOME! The music was spectacular, plus I got to hear 3 amazing bands I'd never heard before. After Midnight Project, Bury Your Dead, and Suicide Silence. They were freaking amazing. I got to meet After Midnight Project and I got an autographed cd from them, they also told me that they'll be back in the area in September with Chevelle so I'm totally going to hit that show if I can. I didn't get to bring my camera in and that sucked but it is what it is. Dope wasn't there but that's ok since all the other bands were un-freaking-believable!
My date on the other hand, sucked. She more or less blew me off. Oh well, at least I got to listen to some great fuckin' music.

There are a few awesome concerts coming to town in the next couple months. In about a month and a half Five Finger Death Punch will be here with Shadows Fall and Otep... Freaking Awesome! I have to catch that show if I can. Then a little over a month after that Hollywood Undead and Atreyu will be in town. I've only heard a little bit by these two bands but they seem like they would be worth catching in concert, especially Hollywood Undead since I really loved the song that they played by them while I was driving yesterday.
Something that's got me plotting today is that they say digital cameras aren't allowed in but that doesn't make much sense to me since most cell phones these days have cameras and can record and those are allowed. So I'm going to try sneeking it in and see if I can pull it off. I'm also going to dig out my mini key chain camera and take that with me with some extra batteries. Even if I can't get my good camera past the gates that one can and I can at least take a couple pics with it.

I just finished reading the manga series Psychic Academy. At first I was a little annoyed with the way it left off but after thinking about it for a moment or two I came to really like it. It doesn't give you a detailed closing but at the same time it gives you a very clear insight into what the main character's thoughts are and what he intends to happen but with some variation open for the reader's imagination. All in all it's a really awesome story with a great plot and kick ass comedy. Definitely worth reading.

Tonight was fun. First we went out to Buffalo Wild Wings and I got talked into tryin' the Blazin' sauce, all it took was them telling me stories over how much they all suffered when they tried it. IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME! I have trouble finding food that is both spicy/hot enough for me AND tastes good but I finally found something! It... is... beautiful... *single tear rolls down cheek* After that we went out to karaoke, I tried to get up and sing but without the vocals for me to sing with I freeze. It was still pretty fun, I got to shoot a game of pool too. My Aunt is in the running for their karaoke contest and I got to flirt with a cute waitress on the pretext of getting information about when she next had to be there, the best part is that she was flirting back. Good fun. Now we're home and I'm actually fairly tired, time for me to hit the hay so I'm good for my 2 interviews tomorrow.

I was hangin' out with my Aunt, her bf, and his brother on Saturday. It was pretty fun. First we went to this place that has a bajillion records and other shit, I got my brother somethin' there for when he comes back from over seas that I think he'll get a kick out of. After that we went to this awesome locally owned casual dining place, it had comfortable seating, friendly staff, it was dimly lit without being dim and dank, and the food rocked. It was funny, at one point they made a comment about working there and I said I thought I should apply. My Aunt's bf made the comment that he'd never seen a male working there and so my Aunt jumps in telling him that I would probably do better as a cook than a server anyway and that I had the experience, and then I jump in with "And I'm really good at doing this" and crossed my arms and stared firmly at them. It was funny but you'd have to have been there to really get it. Then we were over at her bf's place and watchin' all sorts of kick ass shit, first was Jay and Silent Bob Strike back and then Sahara and then a whole bunch of Tenacious D shit. It was fun, it's definitely been a great weekend.

Fucking hell. I wanted to upgrade my account with my bank because I was told that once I'm elligible to it would be a good mark on my credit. So the other day I went in to do it and I qualified for their best package and for free because of the way I was setting it up. Well as of this morning things hadn't looked right when I looked at my accounts online so I decided to stop in and see what was what. It turns out that the banker had been trying to get it to work but couldn't and he couldn't figure out why, at the moment we were just trying to get my money from my old account to my new one so I suggested that we just withdraw and re-deposit into the new account. We tried and the system decides to tell us that there's a hard hold on my account. Meaning I can't deposit or withdraw money... It turns out that the loss prevention department decided to review my account since I was doing the upgrade and then decided to close it because of the problem I had with them a few years before I had opened the account that I've had with them for the last year and a half. Apparently I've been flying under their radar for the duration I've had this account open. I got to hear the local branch manager get pissy with the loss prevention person, her position (and mine) is that I've kept my account in good standing this whole past year and a half so why should I lose the account because of a mistake that was fixed a few years ago? They and I both understand if I don't qualify to upgrade my account yet but that doesn't mean I should have the existing one closed does it? So now they're fighting with loss prevention on my behalf to keep my existing account.

I've already put $30 worth of minutes on it in the last week or so and I'm almost out, if I put the minimum of minutes on it again I'll be up to $45 and those won't last any longer than the rest. So I'm in a really freakin' great mood right now despite yesterday's crankiness. I have one good f/t job lined up and possibly a p/t one. I went in to the bank to deposit some money and get what I need for direct deposit and ended up upgrading my account to the best package the bank offers and I get it for free because of the way I'm setting it up. Boo-fuckin'-yah. I get to see some kick ass bands next week with a date.
The only thing that's putting even the slightest damper on my mood at the moment is that I ALMOST won backstage passes to meet Flyleaf... Almost. They made the announcement and said that caller 10 would win, I was caller 11... Yeah. But oh well, I'm still freakin' happy!

Hell yes. I got a call from Hemphill this morning wondering if I am still interested in a temp data entry position they had talked to me about last week. It pays $10/hr and it's 4-6 weeks unless the people they hired me for decide they want to keep me on a permanent basis. I of course said yes. That's better than the part time position at Wal-Mart that would be $7.8/hr. I'm still going in to talk to them today because if they're willing to work with me on my schedule with the data entry position I'll still work there part time. So let's see how it goes.

They originally were saying full-time when they brought me in and started the interview but when they decided to offer me a job they go, "Oh, well all we have open right now is part time."..... Bullshit. You brought me in with the understanding that I was being interviewed for a full time position and you were aware of the fact that I'm looking for full time. I fucking hate the bait and swithc tactic ESPECIALLY in this kind of a situation because it tells me straight off the bat that they don't give half a fuck about their employees or their needs.

I had an interview this afternoon for Apple Bees that went alright but I'm not taking the job and I have 2 interviews tomorrow, one at 9am for Wal-Mart and one at 4pm for Jason's Deli for a delivery driver. The job at the deli offeres decent pay, mileage reimbursement, and tips so that one may be the better one but I haven't decided yet.

Since Rebecca can't go to the Flyleaf concert with me I'm thinking about seeing if she wants to go to Rockfest the next friday over, August 14. That's got Korn, Mudvayne, The Black Label Society, Static-X, Dope, and some others I think. The tickets are more expensive so if I don't have a job by then I won't be able to afford it so I'm hoping that the interview on monday will go really well or that someone else I've applied with will want me.
