So last night we got the word. Those two teens going across country killing people were seen in OUR area eating trash from OUR dumpters. But yeah, this is some crazy stuff. The whole area is told shelter in place, keep doors locked, do not go outside.
There are helicopter's and plane's and even Canadian Jets flying over.

A massive police manhunt has been launched in a remote part of northern Canada for a pair of teenager double murder suspects.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has been chasing Kam McLeod, 19, and Bryer Schmegelsky, 18, for weeks since the pair were connected to two separate killings in British Columbia earlier this month.
The teenagers have been tracked in a series of stolen cars as they have travelled thousands of miles across Canada, from its Pacific coast in the west all to the way east to rural Manitoba.
Police helicopters, a plane, drones, dog units and armed officers have flooded the area around York Landing a small village in remote northern Manitoba, where a local indigenous neighbourhood watch group had spotted the duo.
Officers tweeted residents should stay inside and lock all their doors and windows while the heavy police presence searched their community.

I cannot fathom the amount of hate that must be in someone's heart to needlessly take human lives at random. There are instances where I could see that amount of hate towards a particular person. I hope that they are caught, soon so that no more lives are lost.
These boys, there were tons of red flags on there FB. People need to start reporting. One of the boys father said his son was in pain and on a sucide mission. So why did the family not do something. Also on news this weekend I watch about the kid who buys an assault rifle two weeks prior then this weekend goes to a Country Music Festival In California and opens up, killing a little boy two others and injuny many. Then they say about there FB pages. On his Fb page they said he was making post against the festival.

Finally!!!! I saw my doctor Monday and he is very happy how the operation went. I can tell that this time it's fixed. When I was a kid I was in an accident and since then I have had to have many operations on my knees and left leg. Course being me I tend to do sport like I was 12 year old kid. I hit a patch of rough ice and ended up hitting a tree about 30 MPH on ice skates. Anyways, the doctor said he will release me next month to go back to work full time! Next week I am going into the office for a meeting. I will be traveling in Sept for work. I got all my work visa's completed, passports, and started do check off's on my list of things. Also, I am taking Baby Liliancat with me so she has to go to the Vet next week for her paper work to travel. This weekend I will be shipping some boxes as I will be staying with a long-time friend of mine, that Liliancat knows and will give us both some rules I am sure. I promise I will behave staying with Koh, Lili, and you can check in on us all the time. hehe....
Hah I know! It will be fun. Every Friday Night the guys gather at Koh's for a D and D night. Koh' works a lot and so will I so not a lot of free time and weekends will be down time. I know you will have a set of Rules for us Lili. Haha. I will be good I promise. Plus, you know Koh well.

I have heard mix reviews about this one. I really should not get audiobooks, LOL, I tend to fall asleep when I listen to them at night. Same when I listen to Mogy's YT ones. Then, I always have to back them up to the part I 'remember' before I difted off.
This is how dumb this girl is/was. I told her if she was the last female on this whole planet I would not touch her with a ten-foot pole. Series is completely based on the books (2 short stories volumes, 5 main saga books; then there is "Season of Storms", another collection of short stories Sapkowski published in 2013, totally unrelated to the games. Loved the books and yes, I played the game. Videogames tell what happens after the main saga books. The books are really great.

Wow, just read about the Kyoto Animation attack. I read the news yesterday morning there was only one confirmed dead. Now the total is just unbelievable. Police were investigating Friday the gutted animation studio building in Kyoto where a man raging about theft set a fire that killed 33. To put it in perspective, between 2003 and 2013 they had FMP, Haruhi Suzumiya, Kanon, Clannad, Lucky Star, and K-On and all of their offshoots. Very few studios put out that much quality EVER let alone in one decade. Can anyone comment on how badly this affects the anime industry?

No idea if just the ravings of a mentally ill person or if they actually plagiarized something of his, but going by his murderous overreaction I would guess the former.
I don't know about the impact on the animation industry ... but all I can say is that ... such a horrible horrible incident. Todate ... 34 people died and 35 severely injured. I believe all those who died were employees of KyoAni. So upsetting!
Another sad aspect to this is Kyoto Animation is actually one of the few ethical anime producers; they had their own school for aspiring artists, actually paid all employees a salary (not something standard in the industry -- it is actually somewhat disgusting how workers/contractors are treated in the industry -- which is why Netflix entering the field has generally been seen as a great thing by many). Kyoto Animation was actively trying to move the industry in a good direction in many areas in regards to worker conditions and even workflow (most voice actors only get prelim sketches and whatnot to work from; Kyoto Animation moved to have everything finished before bringing voice actors in, which got them a lot of praise from the voice acting industry in Japan).

Got in the mood to bake and I have been wanting this for awhile. Neighbor gave me 4 jars of jam, she made so made a Linzertorte. It's easy to make and so good. It turned out deeelicious. The crust recipe was a little to fragile to properly weave the lattice (-style points) but I think adding a little more moisture to that half of the dough ball would solve that next time.
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups ground hazelnuts
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
Dash ground cloves
1 cup cold butter, cubed
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1-1/3 cups seedless raspberry jam
Confectioners' sugar, optional
In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add eggs and lemon zest; stir until mixture forms a ball. Divide into fourths. Cover and refrigerate for 3-4 hours or until chilled.
Remove two portions of dough from refrigerator; press each into an ungreased 9-in. fluted tart pan with removable bottom. Spread 2/3 cup jam over each.
Between two sheets of lightly floured waxed paper, roll one portion of remaining dough into a 10x6-in. rectangle. Cut six 1-in.-wide strips; arrange in a lattice design over jam. Repeat with remaining dough (return dough to the refrigerator if needed).
Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until bubbly and crust is browned. Cool completely. Dust with confectioners' sugar if desired.

Kicking myself, what was I thinking...!!! So a friend picked up 5 copies of The Walking Dead issue #193 yesterday in the city. Two for me and three for him. There were about 10 left he said when he brought ours. An hour later he decided to go back to grab us a few more copies. They were sold out of course. Today they are selling for $1500!!! Glad I scored two at least. I won't give away any spoliers but unlike GoT, I loved how TWD ends.
