Perhaps I'm going a bit too far with my commentary on this, but... I call bullshit. I call bullshit on anyone that follows a religion, especially one based in Christianity that thinks putting *GOD* in schools or having *GOD* in society will lead to a kinder, more loving and moral society.
Did having more god stop Popes from being assassinated by their hopeful replacements? Did having god stop the needless persecution, torture and killing of people through the centuries? Does having god stop the senseless persecution and segmentation in our society today based on gender, race, religion or sexual preferences?
We've seen what *HAVING GOD* gets us as a species. It isn't pretty and it is usually pretty destructive. Yet, this continues to be so many people's answer for everything. *We need more religion*. Why? Have you not picked up a fucking history book and read about all the atrocities committed in the name of *god* through the centuries? Or are you just too stupid to comprehend human motivation and how these lies are a tool to make people complicit, unquestioning, obedient and at the bottom of the structured hierarchy. It is no different than government - take from everyone, make yourself rich and powerful. That is the legacy of most religions and their leaders.
Stop using incidents like the shooting in Colorado as a platform to bitch about how a religious MAJORITY is unfairly treated by less than 10% of the population. It's bullshit. No other religious group swings a bigger dick on Capitol Hill and there are always whores there willing to suck on it in hopes that it ejaculates more money.
Fuck your god. If *HAVING GOD* lead to goodness, justice, truth, peace, kindness, joy, gentleness, self-control and love, after over 3000 years of Judo-Christian domination world wide, we should be living in the fucking utopia. But we're not. We're not because >HAVING GOD< has been the number one catalyst for the creation of evil, inequity, lies, war, death, shame, guilt, oppression and intolerance through time.
Enough of the bullshit. Keep your god out of my face.
