Right don't mean to step on anyone's toes here but (livin up to a personal rule here say what you got to say) I've noticed some ppl here treat other ppl well like crap basically whilst wavin the flag of vampirism. Now am the first here to acknowledge this is a vampire site but sometimes you can almost smell the superiority complex in this place, am not complainin just sayin to some ppl need to chill a wee bit not everyone know's the same amount of knowledge/experience you have but as you it doesn't make you better than them (or worse) were all Equal...........aren't we??

the problem is not about equality its more about greed, knowledge is power, however it should be used to help the world not rule it, ruling and acting like the top dog doesnt help for shit, what helps is people coming to terms where thy can agree, yeah i have knowledge, alot of us do, most of the people here probably have more knowledge than me two times over, but i will be damned if i will let their power get the best of me, i dont know which people you speak of Chaos, but i feel your pain, this is just ludacris this site is for knowledge of the unknown not bloating on who knows more or what, its like a library thats getting filled thats it no power trips welcomed

I can't agree with ChaosBleed or the general theme of this thread. Equality is not granted at conception. I'm not saying someone of superior stature is granted the authority to treat one of lesser stature with disrespect, and I think that is probably more along the lines of what you're talking about.

Furthermore, keep in mind the medium. It is difficult for most people to accurately convey themselves via writing. A lot gets lost in translation in the textual Internet. Sarcasm is misunderstood for levity which is misunderstood for sincerity.

Then people get all butt-hurt thinking they're being talked down to.

I will say that being new here people were big smart asses to me. Then I had to get rude and insult Rhya...and wow Then I was told to go be 10 years old somewhere ELSE..

People have a serious power trip here. I am older than most of you but yet from the beginning have been nice until my buttons was pushed with the superiority complexes we have here so i bit back, and a few just couldnt handle it. We're all aware of Internet Bravado. When someone can act without consequence they usually act with a great deal of confidence and courage. You're not going to stop this. It existed before computers.

Look how people behave in their cars. They think they have a layer of insulation and they think they can act without consequence. They think they can cut you off, or flip you the bird, or behave in any number of rude ways.

Remember the road rage of the 80's? Some people got fed up and started shooting the rude drivers. Now I don't think this is right either... But if you knew you were going to get shot for cutting someone off, would you cut that person off?

People tend to behave better when they realize the consequences of their actions.

Amen to that Cancer, thats the problem, no one realizes the possible consequences. One day you can piss off the wrong person, and they could be a hacker, and all because you are using this "insulation" boom now your computer is zapped and you feel like the stupid one cause you didn't think before you spoke.

high respect is earned however the right thing to do is give a certain amount of respect to all. whether you know somone or not, does not negate the need for common courtesy. a certain level of behavior can be extended to others, including respect, assuming that they deserve it until they prove otherwise. it simply goes back to the first rule of law that was co-opted by the christians....treat others as you wish to be treated. you get back what you put out. if people aren't treating you the way you wish to be treated you need to look at the way you treat others.

if you act like an ass then people are going to treat you like an ass. DUH!!!!!

Well my grandfather(who is slightly on the crazy side mind you)put equaility this way to me when i was little.people are like food many varieties,many ways to prepare it and eat it.Some is like more then others so it is thought of as better.Now when you eat the food it really doesn't matter what you eat first it all comes out the same the same end looking the same way......LOL.I truly didn't get that till i went into the military.

It's the nature of society... even though the concept of equality is nice, it will probably never cease to be.
