what do you guys think of this movie?!....anyone ever had encounters with the supernatural? do you think its real????

I am dying to see this film. I love Michael Keaton, and the story line is interesting. Hopefully, it won't be cheesy. I am too amped for disappointment.

yeah i was supposed to go see it tonight. i hwas hoping someone had some reviews about it lol. i find that movie, from the preview worth seeing....scares the hell out of me but at the same time draws me to it...lol ima lost case! =) lol

michael keaton is def a great actor, i love his movies!

btw...i once saw some old lady come out of my bathroom when i was 8 yrs old...that creeped me the fook out! i still have nightmares about it....i think i was traumatized

ok one night my father wasn't home he was still at work my mom and my middle sister my baby sister wasn't brn yet we were eatting dinner and we all heard like a tower of pots come crashing down in the basement (which is where i live now (go figure) i went down not a thing was outa place i got spooked cuz i felt something brush against me.. man did my white but bolt up those steps like i had a rocket atached to me lol but i think ghosts r pretty kool.. i just feel sometimes u shuoldn't play around where ur not welcome if ya get what i mean

i never listen to what those people that rate movies inside magazines and newspapers say because most times ive seen a movie they rated good and i didnt like it.and when they rated a movie bads i found it very good. ive not seen white noise yet but what i have seen of it so far looks like it is gona be a good movie im definetly gona see it because of that reason and because im a horror nut but i prefer my gory horror movies better and this doesnt look like it has a lot of gore but still looks good.for supernatural thigns i think my dead great nan might live with us because sometimes my bedroom door opens and no1 is there and i get a stange smell of what i think is violet which was her name and her favourite flower. doesnt realy scare me do more comforts me that she is here and resting

i went to see that movie last night. I wasnt impressed at all. The story is to much like the six sense in away, a guy helps the dead before their dead! YAWN

I dont know.. I went to see it yesterday.

It took a long time to get going, and it was obvious what was oging to happen at the start, the middle was quite good and I enjoyed the suspence it built up and the intruege. But the ending was quite bad happened much to fast, what an anticlimax to such a good idea for a film.

Theer is also a shot at the end where his ex-wife is driving away int eh car and sarah is behind them in the electric wheelchair... it looks liek shes going to chase after them! I think its just a bad angle.

I am a total believer in this sort of thing and I did once put a tape on in my room when I was young but to no avail.

I read somewhere that white noise is the only pshycic phenomenon that can be proven. You have to take a mediums word that they're talking to your loved ones, but with white noise recordings, you have actual physical proof. Thats just what I heard. I've never heard any voices in white noise before, so I can't really say.

The movie is about the phenoma of being able to hear voices in white noise static. Many recordings have been made that lend some credence to the possibility.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but it is funny how someone mentioned the Sixth Sense. There's a scene in that movie where Bruce Willis' character is listening to a recording of one of his sessions. He turns up the volume and in the hiss of quiet background noise he hears someone crying. That's essentially the phenomena in question.

The movie just came out here in the states. But you should be hearing about it soon enough down unda.

It's called EVP, Electronic Voice Phenomena. I have done extensive research in the field.

In a nutshell, you take an audio recording device (it can be analog or digital. Different researchers have different results with each) and just record. The place is often important. Even though you hear nothing while recording, when you play the recording back, there is sometimes audio.

Skeptics say you're picking up radio waves or other such nonsense (how can a simple analog tape recorder pick up radio waves when the recorder has no radio tuner?). Skeptics also claim the recordings are faked. Faking one is easy to do, but take it from someone who has had numerous positive results, there's no need to fake a recording.

Personally, I have come to the conclusion that EVP is very real. However, you are hearing ghosts, and as such, there is no real benefit to the process (other than validation as to the existence of ghosts). Ghosts are very confused about their existence. If you're looking for spiritual guidance, this is not the way to go. You won't get any answers.

i'd try it myself if i wasnt a little skeptical about hearing some ghost in my room. i would have to come to terms with it and be pretty confortable before trying such experiment. i give you props for that. very impressive.

I have an interesting experience with this topic myself, Cancer.

The house i grew up in was previously owned by a man running a prostitution ring, One of the ladies living in this 'house of ill repute' apparently angered the man running it. He promptly beat her profusely and left her in the attic for several days.
The young woman died in the attic of her injuries.

When I lived in this house I had a rather large stereo system that I would plug my headphones in and sing (much to the dismay of my family) rather loudly late at night to whatever happened to be on the radio at the moment.
After fine tuning my vocal chords for several weeks to hit a specific range i damage with Marlboro Menthols... I could finally hit the notes in several songs I had been working on.

Every now and then when a song came on the radio... the reception would royally screw up. Certain songs on certain stations that weren't well received by my system would show in clear as a bell, though.
The young woman in the attic, I call her Elizabeth (she seems to like this name), apparently liked certain songs over others.
If I happened to be singing a song she didn't care for... the station would go out.


To this day.... 'Angel' by Sarah McLaughlin is her favorite song.


On topic, though, I just saw this movie tonight...
And being a "sighted" person... it terrified me to see the faces on the screen. EVP is a 'medium' I refuse to dabble in,

Has anyone ever bought you Stephen King's 'IT' before? I had a friend with colouriphobia and I bought her that movie and made her watch it... she's fine now.
It all started when she went on the elmentary school trip to the circus...and a clown tried to hand her a baloon and it popped in her face....

...well, i went to see "White Noise" this afternoon and i really liked it alot. i love Michael Keaton and the phenomenon fascinates me to no end! i give it 4 thumbs up (monkey power!) and would recommend it to anyone who is into the paranormal.

I liked this movie.. at first I wasent sure but then after I got so into it I lost track of time I was diggin it. People were laughin when stuff happened. I just sat there and shook my head. Okay folks take a second to think about it and you will discover that this is not the first movie dealing with white noise.

Poltergeist was the first. If you'll recall everyone who made that movie died shortly after it's premier or wound up sick or injured brutally.

Anyway, white noise is real. Something in the airwaves that allows you to hear what they are saying. Becareful though, it can be dangerous to hear directly what they want

I just saw it this past weekend... it was a little bit of a let down. Other than that it was still very good!

i haven't been that terrified in a long time. i had a hard time falling asleep since my stomach was in knots and i had a hard time breathing. (it seriously creeped me out)
my hubby on the other hand who doesn't believe in 'spooks' and whatnot was fine. the worst part about the whole thing is on the dvd they explain step by step on how to do it yourself at home and show examples of evp recordings.

I watched the movie and thought it to be a little corny to tell the truth. I mean I believe in ghost. I mean come on you believe in spirits you believe in ghost. But i am nto sure about the evil ghost that ended up killing the guy in the end. I am not sure I believe they can do that. But I am not an expert so I could be wrong.

I think all of us have heard white noise before ..have you ever been driving in your car and put the phone near the radio and some weird noise sounds out? thats white noise...or when you put you cell phone close to your computer and before it rings you hear kind of like muted static? thats white noise ...listen closely ;)

I also dont think many people want encounters with the super natural. It is not a thing to take lightly and I've said this over and over again. I myself have had some pretty tough experiences throughout the years. Only professionals should do it, and even they sometimes dont cross the boundaries.....
