Tell me what in your life is the most important thing to to live by?

I'd have to say trust is a important thing to live by...

yeah i agree on that trust is. and the truth too.

trust is the main moral that i live for, their are others but trust is the most important

i live by erm.....one moral code...treat everyone as you would expect to be treated......never works but hey no matter...LOL

Mine is a combination of Sunshine's and PinkLust's way: Treat others as you wouldn't mind to be treated, have fun while doing that and expect that probably none of the above will happen! :)

the most important is to learn from mistakes, and trial and error. i think thats the most improtant which is when you relize your mistakes.

I have the same as Sunshine for me its the most important, however sometimes hard to have it in your head... =)
But i also have to go with the trust..I cant imagine I couldnt trust noone woth nothing..It wud drive me insane.

nope. i only go and listen to my heart, but i never listen to it fully, it tends to go to far. and my head realises that and they have a good 50:50 relationship going on.

as for morals, it depends on what's actually occuring... but i will always look at both sides and decide.

Thanks Thera... there have been a few times i've acted on heart... and i've ended up in some horrid situations. but if those situations didn't happen i wouldn't have my "Heart/Head Equilibrium" which is damn useful sometimes :)

morals is a tricky thing to question because there are morals on EVERYTHING... from Euthanasia to violence in video games... everyone has opinions on the subjects and has their own morals because of those opinions.

And to those going by hear situations- I know them very well... I always listen to my heart, but If u get in touch with someone who dont...it can be really strange situation, because those ppl dont understand u then...If u know what I mean.
And this can be really tricky, sometimes I would like to listen to the "brain"rather...

I like to treat others as I would like them to threat me, truth is verry important to me, I hate when ppl lie to me.

I live by the morals I make myself when and where applicable. I follow my gut instinct and try to look after the feeligns of those close to me.

Thats about it, I dont set myself anything in particular, as it all depends on where I am at that time.

no code really just know that karmic justice is a bitch and if your mean you'll truly get it in the end. so don't give out what you wouldn't want ot happen to you.

I follow the Knights code of honour to a degree

I'm a firm believer in justice and I intend to be a Paramedic or a Policeman to implement that code and live by it :)

WHat do I think is correct. Then I argue with myself sometimes. But, whichever of me wins, it is still my view on the right thing.

I do firmly believe in ethical relativism.

Inasfar as it applies to me.

It would be a lie and a farce to assume societal mores and conditioning have no part to play in my behaviours and such.

mostly i try to follow the example of Jesus for morals. (how i see Jesus anyway)

i would have to say that i follow a couple morals. i follow truth, i feel that it is always good to be truthful, straight forward, i hate people that beat around the bush. and last, just be honest with yourself and everyone else. you must always be honest with yourself

I think a person should live by what they think is right. There shouldn't be any certain code or moral that someone should follow. But follow what they want to. I am not quite sure what i live by. But if i figure it out i will tell you.

Well I guess my moral code is following my instincts feelings and needs.I used to believe in trust and threated ppl like I wanted them to treat me.Thing is I trusted and was betrayed.I treated ppl better than myself and their re-action was bitchy.I used to care a lot for my friends and they still treated me like shit.So now I hardly ever trust anyone and I treat ppl as they treat me before.As for the truth, I never used to say it, if that made the person suffer, now I say it,cause when I suffered no one hardly ever cared.
I know it sounds bitchy but a lot of ppl made me suffer so the only persons I trust and care of are my few true friends.Still sometimes have my doubts but the feeling that there are some ppl who might care makes me feel better.Am still kind and generous just not as much as before.In the meantime I follow my feelings,instincts and needs...

I do appreciate some of the ideas in the guidelines of the Black Veil... but I dont like to commit myself to saying that I will strictly stand by something ultimately, as I knwo that my lfie will change quickly, and I like to be open to constant change according to situation and gut instinct.

The code I live by is being truthful to oneself and loyal to my family and close friends, who are basically family
