what would happen if...vampires etc roamed the earth? would it be like the movies and story books?would the darkness rule?

it would be interesting. i would love that alot. i think that it would be the same as the humans are now but in away different.

depends are they nice vampires that only feed on animals or is it people? if they feed on people then i would walk around with garlic and a sword rusted by holy water. ^_^

Actually....Vampires the masquerade, Bloodlines had the balance sorted out very well....There were head leaders of all the vampiric tribes in the cities....And they'd have agents watching ALL the time...If you attacked too many humans...Or if you KILL too many human, or make yourself known by humans....They'd have you killed...Also if they did other things...I think based off THIS system, i think they'd do it well.

i think humans would still be around but the vampires would be the rulers

ALSO...It'd be foolish of the vampires to make humans extinct.....It'd be their BIGGEST source of blood, gone!

If we were to coexist with them we would need to set some rules it is true they would have the advantage but I doubt that they want to stay in hiding from us I think they would want to coexist but just like a human there would be the occasional killer

but in interview w/ a vampire, swamp animals , rats, chickens, and small animals were used as food. i dont know how yummy that would be...lol but i mean not just vampires alone,werewolves and other dark creatures as well... honestly i dont think it would be much different than the world now...

If they were real, they would have to protect their food sources much like we try to protect animals from going extinct, otherwise it would pointless to even exist with humanity. It wouldn't bother me if they existed as long as know that role! LOL

personally, i think life would be better. more organized, less hate, more love, and more calmer feeling in the air. darkness is a beautiful thing...some ppl misunderstand it completely.

I would have to say I would not like to be at the bottom of the food chain. And yes, they would run out of food and start to herd us like cattle. So do we live in fear waiting to be feed upon hoping for immortality? Waiting for our rotting corpse to clutter the earth? For they would have been once human and look what we have done to our own species. Cruelty would definitely come into play.

It's not really a question of what if the vampires ruled, because no matter who or what ruled, you'll have the same problems and same issues. It wouldn't be better no matter what. There would always be conflict until the day the world was shared with everyone, equally.

It might be a better place. Humans wouldn't be so arrogent because we would be someone's prey. But then again, the vampires would get to arrogent.

It could be like Planet of the Vampires (instead of Apes).

I am thinking that if most of the human race quickly became either prey to the vamps or became vamps themselves the streets would be less crowded during the day. :)

Would the undead and supernatural have any rights under the law? If you were a vampire or undead being, do you keep your previous identiy or are you a new creature? How would you classify Lycanthropes? very very confusing!?!?!?

I think this is a matter of perspective... in films, vampires are often shown as seeing humans as an inferior prey, and that the owrld is their cattle market. In the actual practices in the 'real' world, the approach is often entirely different.

i think vamps could control themselves, but not sure about other creatures like werewolves, etc. vamps seem to keep a grip on reality even when really pissed. it would likely be somewhere between herding humans as cattle and vamp-holocaust (spelling?) by christians. it would be a VERY bloody time, not in a good way!

It would be interesting that is for sure. I dont beleive it would be anything like the movies. In a way if all dark creatures walked the earth at one time, it would be chaotic. I mean we would all be after the same food and when theirs no more food left than each other. But i may be wrong. human exitence would be wiped out intirelly.. after that one by one so would the rest.

People are not like those portraited in Movies and Literature, why would vampires be? I'm sure they would be as unique as humans, some good, some evil and most somewhere inbetween.

It would be pretty much the same as it is now. You would not know if they were here or not. A vampires greatest fear is that of being discovered. Thier very survival depends on thier anonimity. If they were known, they would be hunted; Either to be destroyed, or to be petitioned for turning. Very few would approach a vampire as offerings of food.

well what's funny to me is that i wouldn't care if they were here or not. I mean why should humans care if they were or not, or if aliens were or not? we share the world with so many different species, it really wouldn't matter to me if i was on the prey list or not. *shrugs*

I think that if vampyres began to come out, that humans would try to overrun them as long as they were outnumbered by humans. But the more the vampyric race grew, I believe humans would either accept us or cooperate out of fear of being lunch. Come to think of it, even suck up to try to get turned so they would not be lunch and have authority over other humans so to speak. Just like our very own brownnosers in real life.

I think dragonsage and DarkAdmin are on the right track here. Humans would now be low on the food chain. I don't agree though that the blood supply would eventually die out, but do think that population control would be better. There would end up being colony's of humans simply left alone for breeding purposes to create a constant blood flow, I think to there would be scientists about that developed ways to sustain Vampires on the blood supply available.

It would be like it already is in life. In the beginning there would be a war to see who is the stronger and who should not be allowed each finding their own justification for the reasoning they carry with them. There would always be hate among the two and love as well. Eventually a seatlement would come into play where the two different races would be able to co-exist with battles off and on again.

I think that if Vampires did roam the earth we would't know. They dont want to be test subjects to see how they work. I think they would live where no one would find them. Seeing as there are people all about at the time of days. They would just blend in the best that they can. Maybe down the line they would start to come out more and more but not right away. The first thing people will do is want to banish them or make them into some big horror story to tell the kids when they won't behave. I think it would be way different then what alot of people think. Alot longer for them to come out and want to be aknowledged.

if we are talking in the perceptions of myth and legend, then why is everyone saying what they would an would not want?

Do you really htink that if vampires swarmed the earth with means to take over, that they would be bothered about a swarm of vampire-enthusiast, Strigoi Vii, or Left-Hand Path humans spouting what powers they want.

Its all to do with perspective. Maybe its happening now and we aren't aware of it. Or maybe we are the vampires and the world is our victim.

that would totally rule. the thing that dosn't make sence though. say there was one rouge vampire who wanted to kill all the humans, and have supreme reign over the world (Decon Frost anyone?), what in the bloody hell would they feed on?

it would depend on how many vampires roamed the earth, and weather they followed the black veil or had some kind sourt of one. Also how powerfull they were, because each film and book they nare portrayed very diffrently.
