It is up to you (if you want to play) to discover what the contest is, how to win, and what the prize is. I will only give one clue: you must be logged in to play.

No further clues or hints will be given.

Don't bother pestering the Master Vampires. They know nothing about the contest and can't help you.

If you have to be logged in then it must either have to do with timing or # of post or pages that you can't access while you're not logged in. so hmm.... i am still stuck

I made a small change to the Status System. Your Status could only have increased from the change (if your Status changed at all). Some people may see as much as a 2 level increase.

The change was necessary, otherwise when you achieved Sire, it would just about be impossible to hold the level (you'd keep dropping back a level every other day or so).

I'm gonna have to agree with Lenoresprettycorpse......on the Who's Online page it only now shows the people online.....it no longer lists the names of people online in the last Hour or the 24 hrs......only the number that were online during these times.

I think Ive got it. If you think about this game, you exclaim "I lost", and so anyone who knows of the game is automatically reminded, and in turn, loses because they thought of it and lost...so you have to not think about it to win...does this make any sense? I dont think so. PLAY MY NEW GAME!!!!!

No, I didn't get what you said. Ha....= And I am still lost...I noticed the change in seeing who was on in the last hour and 24 hours, which I really miss! I liked seeing all the names, and seeing who I just missed. Wait, I know, I'm straying from the subject...sorry! It seemed to be when I started it.

Im late into playing the game, but Im completely lost.. *shrugs* if anyone gets it.. they should post it to be nice to the rest of us idled brains.

Jason won the contest.

If while logged in, you clicked on the Vampire Rave logo, you were taken to a secret page. There was a door, that required an 8 digit numeric combination to open.

Clues were returned based upon your combinations. There were 6 clues:

1. A shouted warning.
2. Calamari appendages
3. The creation of dry land.
4. Levels of Inferno.
5. The favorite saying of Faith.
6. Having eaten.

Each clue corresponded with a number:

1. 4 (From Golf)
2. 10 (A Calamari has 10 arms, not 8 as is commonly thought)
3. 3 (The 3rd day of Biblical Genesis)
4. 9 (Dante's Inferno)
5. 55 (Faith from Buffy the Vampire Slayer always said, "5 by 5")
6. 8 (Ate)

If the clue appeared in Red, it mean the number was in the combination, but in the wrong spot. If the clue appeared in green, it mean the number was in the right spot.

I used 6 clues instead of eight to make it more difficult, along with two numbers being two digits. So in actuality, there were only 6 number slots.

You didn't really have to solve the clues. Only figure out which numbers they went with from your combination attempt.

Originally, I had programmed the door to release a new clue every few days. I concluded that would be too hard. The change I made last night entailed returning colored clues based on your combination attempts.

The prize was a Vampire Rave Lifetime Membership.

OOh wow, I just knew it went deeper than the door decor!! Thank goodness I went to bed, otherwise I would of been up all night mulling over it!

As an addendum, Jason should be congratulated. He solved the combination in only 57 attempts.

It took me just under an hour, I guess to get the combination. I probably would have had it in around 35 or 40 tries if not for a bad science textbook drawing of a squid that showed only 6 tentacles. Yeah, I swallowed it like smallmoth bass. It was around 1am, so my brain was not working properly. It was the seafood lover in me that kicked my logic center as said "Dumbass! You eat squid all the time! 10 not 6!"

Sorry I didn't say anything last night after I won. I wanted to make sure I got confirmation from El Princo. I felt kind of bad that the contest shut down after I won though. :-(

10 didnt occur to me as number so was a clue short....
never would have gotten it the way I was going...

Not he did not specify that the 8 digit code needed to open the door was composed of entirely SINGLE DIGIT numbers.

Aside from congratulations to Jason, the only thing I can say is "WOW"....

Jason, I was not even close...heh heh I was still checking everything else on this site...running off in another direction totally...LMAO...my mouse never even crossed the banner...but it was fun none the less...

There were only about a dozen members who found the door. However, the game was only in play for 2 days.

10 and 55 were specifically chosen to make it harder.

The clue for 55 would have shown up if you entered: 55555555. But if you entered 50000000 or any combination with only a single 5, it wouldn't. I hoped this would really frustrate the player.

10 was chosen as I thought it was the easiest non-sequential double digit. If you got 6 of the 8 numbers, it shouldn't have taken you long to stumble upon 10. Even if in the wrong position.

I am working on a new game, which will be much harder. I hope to have it done sometime this weekend. It is being designed in such a way that completion will require several days, if not weeks.
