I have a STRONG feeling that it's not just me...But does anyone else hate or have a strong disliking for hospitals?I feel that they simply REEK of death and misery of patients and visitors of whom....I live across the road from a hospital...So I tend to feel uneasy at times.....I just dislike them and try my BEST to stay away from them....What's everyone else's oppinion on hospitals?

I can't stand them! I get the same uneasy feeling, it really sucks. The only time i don't get shaky from being in one is if someone i know is having a kid, but i usually go outside still

I like hospitals, I love the sense of death. It brings me uneasy joy.

I was last in a hospital around 9 months ago...Someone in my family was sick..I can't even remember with what...I just couldn't STAND being in there....Seing all the injured, sick and dying.....It sent an unholy chill down my spine....Before THAT time...I hadn't visited a hospital for almost 5 years...

I dont' ming hospitals as long as they don't have the disinfectants that make me faint. I normally end up there for stupid things like getting a crayon stuck up my nose of my ears swallowing my earrings (don't ask) but I didn't like being there and being questioned by the police at the same time

i hate hospitals! I was just at the hospital 2 days ago, I went it around 9pm and didn't get to see a Dr. till 2am! I told them on a scale from 1-10 my back pain was an 8 and i still had to wait! grr...

but they prescibed me some pain and muscle relaxer pills, so I guess they aint so bad LoL

hospitals dont really bother me, they do reek though.

i'm currently working in a hospital. specifically, with terminal patients.

I can't disagree that there's a lot of death...hospitals can be creepy, terrible places, especially if you or someone you love is hurt or sick. Even if you're there for other reasons, it's hard to be there and not imagine disasters that could occur to put yourself or a loved one in there - perhaps to die.

So..yeah...the fear/strong dislike of hospitals is...totally normal.

On the bright side, it's important to remember that the hospital is not all morgue. It's also where people are born, where people go to get *better* ... and even if you are there to die, it's a place where there are trained professionals trying their best to make your death as comfortable as possible for yourself and your family.

And..YES I know that hospitals fuck up. Everyone's got a story. I've got stories. I HATED some of the doctors who treated my grandparents when they were dying. A family full of nurses has told me things that will haunt me forever

But I'm still putting in a good word...while the hospital shouldnt really be where you vacation (we dont want a lot of tourists hanging around bringing in new diseases) ... Please know that in general people there ARE trying to prevent death, prevent or ease suffering ...and if they seem unfriendly, it's because they're busting their asses to do so, and they're not really any happier to be around all of the sick/injured/dying people than you are... everyone there would be thrilled if everyone would just cheer up, get better, and not die.

hehe...and while you're there...PLEASE wash you hands often!

Afater a loss of a love one in the hospital I can't stand to be around one. Basicly brings back to many bad memories.

They give me a strange feeling but it is not really a bad feeling, it is more like a calmness.

Somehow I dislike them, but I don't really mind (never had much experience with them..)

I have white coat syndrome and don't even like to go to the doctors unless I am near death. I cannot stand hospitals. There is one in my area that just recently had a rash of people come in from a gang war supposedly and while they waited in the waiting room for hours another huge gang fight broke out in the waiting room. I hate that hospital most of all.

I cannot stand to be in a hospital espically on the ICU floor. After having bad memories and sometimes flasbacks after going into one I hate to be inside. The only way I go in is if I HAVE TO.

Even before that I never really liked them. Except the birthing floor. The feeling of new life always made me smile. The basement always made me feel wierd the closer I got to the morgue.

Im thinkin that um dislike of hospitals would be resulting from too many bad memories,or horror movies when you were small lol. I for one am glad that hospitals are around, I mean there is lots of blood, death, dying, new birth, healing. I dont understand whats wrong with em, its the circle of life if you wish to look at it that way.

hospitals are always cold and kind of grim i mean even if the nurses and so on smile. the nuetral color coats and so on it just gets to me. yeah some try wearing the so call cute outfits for the kids but it still looks lifeless to me. and the waiting and so on and every time i go to the hospital is mostly to see someone i'll propably never see again. so i really dislike them in that sense

It depends. Im scared of them if Im getting something done, but when you need to take someone you love to hospital, then what the place looks like and what it smells like really doesn't matter. It turns from a place of odd treatments and loads of people, into a place of help.

Hospitals are great things, despite their government related shortcomings... its people saving other peoples lives and one day, that life could be yours.

However, I can understand in somer respects what you mean. When your a patient, suddenly you feel that you have no control over your own body, as the people there know more about it then you do, and once you get in you forget that you have to consent to things, as the people in white and green know best! Horror films dont help either :-S

Hospitals make me feel a little uneasy.... I always wonder how many people have died in the very same room I'm in, or how many have died on the bed I'm in? :::shudders:::

i dont mind em they nice and quiet at times but still i wudnt want to be one of the ppl there i just cudnt stand it id have nuttin to do and man just thinkin bout it makes me uneasy

i dont like to be near hospitals.. because hospital = something wrong.... and dat bad...

Hospitals are almost one step closer to the eternal light or eternal damnation. Either way you go you are still D>E>D. So don't be afraid it's part of living in darkness. Just remember when you visit enjoy your stay !!

Hospitals don't bother me. The times I have had to stay in them for my bad motorcycle wreck and a few other times were more like a vacation....you're waited on hand and foot...your food is brought to you (yeah sometimes that's not a good thing in a hospital..haha), and if you're lucky you get that one hot nurse assigned to your room....hahaha. "Sponge bath anyone?" *winks*

I don't like hospitals but at the same time there is always something that draws you toward it. There is always that feeling of you need to be there though there is usally no reason to be. I don't know if it is just me, but I always get the feeling like someone wants me even when I am just passing my a hospital.
