Does anyone believe in Alchemy? Believe in finding your own personal legend, and following omens to a great life. Basically, having control of your life, but having Alchemy as a guidline, which indeed will always do you good.

Let me know your thoughts on Alchemy, and whether or not it's an acceptable way of life.

I believe in all of the above. Well, I believe in a lot of things. :) I've seen shadow/translucent figures before, and I've no idea what they are. People keep telling me that he (I only see one, and its a male) is malevolent. I don't think so. He has been following me since I was four or five, and I get the sense that he is benevolent. He just IS. We live on an old battleground now, so there is a lot of...WEIRD things that go on, and I am psychic, and I am very, very sensitive to things.

But yeah. I believe in it all. I also beliee in water sprites. Me and my friend (Nephthys) were walking in the creek behind my house, and a hand tried to pull us under. So...yeah.

I believe that there are a great many ways of taking control of your life. For some Alchemy is their choosen path way. Hey if one is taking steps to gain some control of their lives, its all good.

Ok, this might be a bit dumb, but the only alchemy I've ever heard of is little old men trying to turn lead into gold.. could you please explain it a bit? I'm really interested

I guess I am also uneducated in the matter. To my knowledge, Alchemy is the prctice of turning base metals to gold. Please Clarify?

I believe bits and peices of everything... I pretty much make up my own rules to follow... FMA makes me happy though... Heh...

I have herd of this I cant personaly give you aney advice on it but as long as you have somthing to follow things tend to work out for the best.

Sure it's acceptable. As long as you live life in a way that makes you happy without causing undue harm to others, the details of how you live only makes things more interesting.

I do believe in Alchemy....I mean come on if it is with science...yeah rock on it has to be true...(Just conculing this up with every...really and truely I hate science....but it is the truth....so I believe in Alchemy!)

Alchemy isn't only about little old men turning led into gold. heh, that made me laugh. See, you've heard about a typical Alchemist. But the truth is, that was some of the Alchemists goals, to turn led into gold. It was their personal legend. Where as anothers could be, seeing visions in their dream, and taking amouts of time to get to their treasure. But learn along the way thatn their true treasure is a love of some sort, or something along those lines.

So then why don't you look into Alchemy? If you learn to understand it a little more, you'll know what your omens are, and you will then take control of your life. There's much to learn about Alchemy. I suggest reading a book called, 'The Alchemist' first. It tells the story of a boy who finds his own personal legend. It really gets you into it. After you get past the first few chapters, you don't want to put it down.

Ah, Alchemy. The great blend of science and religion....

It's pretty much Elemental magick and a healthy knowledge of chemistry. Powerful stuff, if you can get ACCURATE information.

I always found alchemy interesting, but I don't know if it is real or not.

Oh Alchemy is real, trust me, on this one. Its not as described in anime and fantasy books, if you look into the Qabalah background, which is why I'm studying, Alchemy is a big part of some of the workings of it.

Obviously we're all in control of our own lives. But Alchemy teaches you to look for the extra signs to the happiness you want and deserve. It shows you and gives you a choice of two paths. Following the Omens leads to following your heart. Not listening to everything else around you, because it doesn't matter. Very few people follow their 'gut feeling.' Alchemy helps you find that.

well i do practice alchemy... I have even made one form on the fabled Philosophers stone... very powerful it is

I am an aspiring alchemist.

been researching it for many a years now...but it ius very difficult to find useful info on....early book burners were very thourough when it came to alchemy....

i just wish i knew more about it, seems very interesting. :)

I study magick, science and Alchemy. Alchemy IMHO is a blend and balancing of magick and science. They are based on the same principles:

1:Observation

2:Understanding interaction

3:using understanding to achieve specific results

I love the idea of it and I love to experiment with the idea of magic and a sort of sixth sense

I believe in it

The myths about alchemy are cool (like being able to turn lead into gold) and if you get the right ingredients and the right information, you can achieve anything with your new found potions (cure cancer, lycanthropy, flight, etherealness, etc). and change the world (hopefully for the better).

I'm a bit of a skeptic.

Isn’t alchemy simply a pseudoscience that was a mixture of pre chemistry and magic that was intended to turn an elements molecular structure into another element? I.E. Lead into Gold. If it was other meaning then I admit that’s as much as know about the subject.

I've studied medieval alchemy, and don't see what the original post has to do with alchemy...

Being of a spiritual and psychic nature, i believe in all things. Alchemy as a way of life, i dont disbelieve in it and i wont knock it. I follow my own path and if people come to me for help i will certainly guide them, but they have to make the final choice in what to believe in for themselves as that is the way of life, we have free will to make our own choices and our own ways. No one person can tell us what to think as it is up to us to think for ourselves. Therefore my belief is finding ur own way is the only way.

I am a Taoist and practice internal alchemy. It is my path and athe guiding factor in my life.

I like to believe in alchemy, at least a part of what has been said about it i think it can be true... has anyone of you ever read the story about Count Cagliostro? He has been probably one of the greatest western alchemists (there is a quite interesting book about it -> "The Last Alchemist: Count Cagliostro, Master of Magic in the Age of Reason" if anyone is interested.). His life was spent between cheating on people, being a criminal and having mysterious studies on alchemy and healing rich and poor people.

Alchemy is the magic of science.. The main law of alchemy is that you can't exchange one thing with out sacrificing another.. The general laws of it is somewhat complecated to explain, but once you know the main part it's really not that hard to understand... It kinda like if you wanted to fix something that's made out of a natural material using alchemy you must sacrifice something else made out of the same thing...

I don't really have a clue, but I am going to look up some of these books and authors and read up on this. Interesting.

omens are such a bad word, I prefer premonition. Premonitions offer us poptential scenarios of what may come to pass, and of course to achieve anythine first it must be dreamed. Making sense out of premonition is the essence of dream attainment, for we must see the relavance in things in order to reap their significaance in our lives.

But ther other alchemy, I guess, is the splitting of the atom, creating nukes, which sometimes only exist for moments, fission or fusion, that is where alchemy has come to pass. I guess with all this micro nano technology creating little robots that can enter molecules, maybe someday we can build nano bots that can construct gold, et cetera, if we can make guitars one micron wide.

Alchemy also, as per rule, since everything is chemical, the transformation from soul into spirit is another example of a process. Dream attainment you will find later on in life is all about taking your brain chemistry and making it into a stronger spirit than say perhaps a tombstone. Does anyone have soul these days? With one of the last sign of the apocalypsed being babies born without soul, and all the bad brains out there, the ones with soul must represent, actualize dreams, and turn their soul into spirits, because it is in the example of those that have come before us we can base our own lives on and grow, this is why we must face ourselves, to set an example for others to model their owns souls after.

When it comes to Alchemy, I believe that one can 'mix and match' for the perfect situation. The situation may even arise again, giving you a chance to say the right thing, or choose yet another path-- which is why I closely believe it's part of the reincarnation cycle.

As for as I know it also is to transmute so to say,to change or convert so I believe in it that if you are living your life and changing and growing from it and making yourself prepared and educated for whatever may come into your life, then you will have that control~~ even if over spirits or what ever you encounter~~ again there are so many ways to interpet this or look at it ~~ :)

i was turned onto alchemy a while back when i read this article stating on how the miracles of jesus were actually just very powerful alchemic showing off. water to wine was just transmogrification of one base into another and stuff like that, walking on water was changing the density of the water he was standing on etc etc

What can I say, but this simple concept.

If nature can produce it, why cannot it be reproduced in a lab, and if nature has the energy to sustain it, why cannot that be created out of the chemicals in nature.

If a grape can grow on a vine, why then cannot that grape be made to grow richer, and fuller, and faster in a labratory environment, better then it is found in nature?

Marcus Black you do know that all grapes are an experiment of sorts right? The old world grapes had a bacteria that attacked it's roots, so when all the vinyards were dying, early america sent over its roots and did a hybrid construction to the roots of all old world gropes. A simmillar thing happened withe new world vinyard grapes the roots were dying because of like chipmunks or something, but the old world roots were impervious to the whatever was killing the america wine fruit, and so we have old world grapes with new world roots and vice versa. Of course this is a perfect metaphor for the way we are all like parts of old world gene pool, and a new world mix..

But Bitten, I think there is a book called the Transmigration of Souls, you might want to look into that, because the whole course of things that come to pass which causes a man like me in America to ralize he has got old world roots ontop of a new wolrd melting pot brain, when the virus comes to take my IVY down, there is a transmigration of Soul, or a transmutation as you called it, I think, but I can't remember, my root virus is affecting the memory of my mind.
