If you could, would you go back to the colonial times, live in 1650, work your land, have things be simple? Or even the 19th century, just back to a more simple life? I would, in a heart beat.

for the simplicity of it i would do it in a heartbeat.

I would indeed go back to any time prior to 1970 as long as I could ofcourse come back to our time here. I would rather a small vaccation, pretty demanding but I am one of the few that actually enjoys it in this present time.

The world of old is filled with great things... Honor, respect, loyalty... I would love to go back to another time... Ancient Egypt would be my first choice... The hills in Ireland would be my next... Living anoung the native amercans would be wonderful... They were God-like people... the cultures of old look upon us now in discust...

I yearn for the simplicity of that time-at least as far as being vampire is concerned-

as a medieval recreationist I would love to.....as a student of history I will say only this...
lack of hygene, plague, starvation, privation, vermin, festering sores, slavery, and a life span of an average 3 decades...

Maybe for a visit, but the lack of indoor plumbing, hot water that you didn't have to boil, endless hard labor just to make a half-decent living, not to mention that I'd be dead a few times over witout the benefit of modern medecine would kind of suck in the long run.

I like the 17th century but mainly for clothes and buildings.So I would prefer to be a rich one.

For me, I'd perfer the 18th and 19th century. The French Rennisance and La Belle Epoque ('the beautiful period').
Rome or Ancient Egypt, The Ireland of my ancestors, and the lands where the Cherokee once hunted. India, Japan, China.

See even the simpliest things that you use EVERYDAY are gone. wipped out. No longer there because you went back to before they were invented. I can't imagine not being able just to use a few things that I do. So nope. I wouldn't Plus that would mean changing my life around completely. I am extrememly happy where I am at.

to go back to my past would be such a sweet tast to me! but i oft think mayhap i slept during the 17th century... i would go back futhur indeed, back to times of honor back to swords and arrows back to true life!! back to the spirit where life ment more. ohh, how sweet that would be...

just putting things in the proper perspective here is all....
I do historical re-enactmants and faires....and while the idea of the age of chivalry is nice...the reality was somewhat different.....there were still large amounts of theft, murder, persecution, false prosecution, and all the bad things we have...part of what makes it seem worse to us is the internet....we no longer hear just about the bad things in our own tiny section of the world.....we can hear about the bad news anywhere anytime.....being a now global community means that you hear the whole globes bad stories.....
the middle ages and rennaisance were not quite as pretty as most people want to think....

I wouldn't want to go back, but I would love for the loyalty and honor to come up to our time. Going back would mean hardship for things I believe strongly in. Women didn't have rights, and the way they did some things was awful. But they definetly did have some better qualities back then then we do now.
