This may have been done befor eim not sure but i'm going to do it anyway!

I read somewhere that true vampires can change human into vampire's but reconstructing their bodies DNA I.D...and that's how you live forever...but that thing is...HOW!? i mean how can biting some's neck with your sharp fang teeth change someone's DNA I.D...or is it all bullsh*t!?

exactly, see? you see right through hollywoods bullshit and see the truth. There is no turning people, there is no living forever, thats just what some people wanted, so they put it into hollywood films. But that part is not real.

You're exactly right. It's total bullshit. Vampires don't live forever. They can't 'turn' someone with a bite, and we certainly don't have a different genetic structure.

No one lives, or even exists forever, not even gods. The idea as to whether or not bite can transform you, and on a broader level if vampyrism involves biological function..has indeed been covered quite well already.

The human body is constantly changing and evolving, so there is no reason to say that it cannot evolve into a vampyric state, over a period of time, according to some signal from the cells.

Whether this results from the actual physical bite, is unlikely, but perhaps from some other sub-process?

What if the act of a vampyre bite has a correspoding penetration into the energetic form of a person?

Could this irrovocably change the nature of how the persons' energy system works and perhaps then alter the development of the cellular structure?

I really don't think so. Calling it evolution is a big reach as well. No species of recent, or even far past humans have been separated from one another long enough to evolve with the different traits. Also, what possible role could this type of evolution address..what new complication that so many suffer from would warrent this turn in nature?

As far as the energy system is concerned, I'll say that if the act of being bitten affects you deeply on a psychological level..then perhaps this might alter a very small amount of current due to psychosomatic processes. I think that saying that this might affect you on a cellular level though would be moving too far, personally.

It would all depend on wether the vampiric blood has another composition than human blood.
What if the bite was a means of transfering the vampire blood into the victim. And the new blood construction takes over making its victim to become a vampire itself?
The immortallity thing of course is just bs.

I believe it's all BS as well, if that was the case and all it took was a single bite from a Vampire to live forever I think the whole world would be full of Vampires since it is an automatic feeling in a person to live forever and not die,so everyone would want to be bit thus creating a world that was only made up of vampires.

We've gone over that issue just mentioned in the past several times(though no fault is implied for addressing it). It's been generally agreed on that the blood likely has nothing to due with this..as the say that it could "change" the recipient goes very much against what we know of viruses and the concept of how deeply they can affect a genetic structure. Like I said, it seems to be more of a brain issue to me..having a great deal to do with neural pathways that encourage a basic addiction when liked with a strong enough stimulus.

The film industry indeed influence much and most of it is only imagination, as to change on the cellular level maybe since there is in a way an exchange of fluid blood and saliva that contains cells perhaps it may do changes but not go to the extend of immortality

I really would go with the subconscious association in many respects..but it's sort of skewed all around I think. I feel that the symptoms so often attributed to traditional 'awakenings' might indeed be no more than the effects of average puberty.

Many of the better known symptoms, such as shortness of temper, increased sensitivity to stimulation, more seemingly adept reflexes, the feeling of emptiness or separation can all be indicative of that. Likewise, other symptoms like aversion to sunlight may be explained by depression or other lesser disorders(mood disorders seem quite common among those who purport to be vampires).

To make a long story short, I obviously feel that many who have decided vampirism is the case in fact may be misconstruing other possible disorders. It's hard to know..because we have no real statistics and how many people considered that it might be vampirism and then found with a doctors assistance that it was something else. Barring any evidence, it all seem like a matter of opinion to me.

We know that the state of the body influences the levels of energy present, but we do not know if energy so insignificant as that which could be produced by another living human could affect tissue at all. Sure, certain types of energy in high concentrations may affect the body..but it is unlikely that any creature would be able to produce such strong emissions..at least any mammal.

Ah, mrd, I can readily see your point in that many can and do associate their varied symptoms with that of similar vampyric ones, primarily through the self-determining psychology of the culture.

And it does not help that so much of what can be called a vampyre effect can be attributed to many other factors of illnesses and conditions.

But I would still hold to the principle that a powerful enough master of these arts could, in theory, extend it's will out to affect anyone it so chooses, in any way.

Though I don't feel that it is likely that vampyres go around expending terrific amounts of energy to do this willy nilly, but I can accept that there may be occasions where it has happened, perhaps in a ritualised fashion in order to create and maintain the levels of energy neccessary for such an act.

I agree. I do myself believe that someone schooled well enough in these arts may induce some sort of change. It's whether or not this change is the product or effect of energy shaping, ritualized psychodrama, or both. I would like some clarity in the answer myself..but as I mentioned, I fear that materials referring to this phenomena in a rational way are as of yet unfound by me. I guess I'll just have to accept that this may not be possible..but don't get me wrong..I don't discount it entirely either.

I've heard different ways to explain people being "turned" by a vampiric bite. The vampire virus theories, the theory that unawakened vamps may come to realize what they are after being exposed to the bite of another, and of course, hollywood's idea that it's all just magical. I try to keep an open mind. Though I will say that the thought of a simple bite being all that's needed to make an ordinary human into a super-powerful, psychically aware immortal seems a bit far-fetched.

I saw a great banner on another site that I think could do with repeating here!

"There are real vampires, being one does not make you stronger, live longer, make you better looking, make you more actractive to the opposite sex or famous. Only the wanna-be's believe that."

I don't think its word for word because I could find it to copy it.

Negligible Senescence:
Some animals being studied by USC have an aging process that is so slow as to be almost nonexistent. I'm talking about animals that have the ability to live in effect forever. Now granted these animals do end up dying from things like predators, disease or starvation...but they don't die from old age. Now we're not just talking about bacteria here. Negligible Senescence has been discovered in fish, alligators, turtles, lobster and whales (remember that a whale is a mammal like us).

Some religions have pointed to these animals as signs of what would await mankind after 'Armageddon'. They believe that this 'ageless' condition is the true nature of Adam and Eve. This could also explain the idea of an immortal being like a vampire or at least the myths behind them.

Studies of lobster have found they produce an excessive amount of telomerase. This natural chemical stops or slows the degradation of telemere. Telemere caps the ends of our DNA and allow for cell division. As the cap wears out, a cell can no longer divide and it dies. It's believed that this chemical could be the next step in mankind's quest for immortality. An increase of this chemical could allow for increased age without actually changing our DNA...although production of this chemical is likely to have to BE genetic which brings DNA back into play.

Either way you look at it though, the thought of immortal creatures is not quite as much bullshit as one might think even if the idea of it in the sense of a Hollywood Vampire may be.

Personally there is a difference between being 'turned' as it is in the hollywood sense, and being 'awakened' to it, as it is done in the actually community.

Not everyone can be awakened or is capable of it, and not everyone that is awakeend is aware of their ability.

To some point, all of us have the ability to be psychic, just over the centuries many have lost it and others have fine-tuend it so to speak.

So you would feel that vampirism is strictly a more psychic phenomenon and that blood drinking is more or less the fetish that could enhance the psychic part but is by no means wholy necessary or even on it's own a real form of vampirism?

if this were an actual living vampire... (well not living, but you get the idea) then in his or her blood and saliva would be a virus or (demon) something else that would transfer over to the new person. ifecting them with something that has the ability to move through their body and killing off, then reanimating the flesh.

it's possible, doctors have found ways to return dead flesh to semi animation using eletricity, and nature's always been better then men.

Well my opinion seems to clash with most of everyone elses but that's ok... see i have been around for quite some time and people don't think you can live forever well i am living proof that you can. my soul has been on this earth since the fouth century, and i have come and gone from different lives but never truely died. however, it isn't just vampires that can do this... many other 'species' can do this as well and most of the time it isn't a choice it is forced, for me it was my master in another realm would send me out to serve i have been a servant forever, and when my mistress died and i was about to as well he would bring me back to him and send me to someone new. it does kinda suck but it is my way of life and i can't change that, just deal with it. shit happens.
a vampyre can be killed just like anyone else though but if they aren't they can live forever as well. we are people which is what upsets me about movies they make it seem as though we are not but we are we just happen to be a little different.
you can change someone to be like us but not by a simple bite you have to exchange blood. i mean think about it, a disease (std) can be transferred through the blood because it is a 'genetic error' how is this any different? it isn't if they get your blood in their blood it is possible i have seen it happen. the 'transformation' happens gradually the cravings come slowly and all the other things that most here know and feel daily. but it is possible.

You should never truly believe what you see in movies. They may have some truth in them, but even films meant to depict historic events are "hollywoodised" to make them more entertaining to the viewer. Like throwing in a love interest in Pearl Harbor for example. That sort of thing happens, but the people in the film never went through those experiences.

And Holly Wood just slaughters the hell outta anything to do with vampyres, witchcraft, and paranormal events in general. What do you expect, fabricate a few details, increase the overall appeal of the film and bring in more revenue.

One of the means by which the vampyre legend began was due to a rare viral infection of the blood. It caused harsh reactions to UV rays limiting carriers to only nocturnal lives. it also caused them to usually have a very pale pastey complections. One of the only known treatments for it was through transfusions, which were not exactly an exact science waaaay back then, nor were they very well smiled upon. Since then story tellers, religious woo-ha, and of course the rise of hollywood has turned it into a populous of blood sucking, soul stealing, monsters.

Well if we're going on the DNA theory and blood vitals then since I"m allergic to the sun or any type of heat for that matter (break out) then that should conect me somone how to vampires and the fact that I have sharp canines. I mean its all how you look at it and how hollywood likes to twist things.
