DO THEY REALLY WORK,ARE THERE FORBBIDEN BOOKS OF SPELLS THAT TRULY EXIST! I WANT TO KNOW.
Speaking as a hereditary witch,I can say that what works for one person, may not work for another.Every person needs to make personal "spells",these will be the most effective
No book can ever tell you about subjective experience. Words that others have spoken may inspire you but realisation and understanding only come when you actualize theory.
"If we cannot find truth within ourselves, where can we find it"
I totally agree Sangreas! In witchcraft and the occult, you have to find your own person rhythm so to speak. Its all totally about you and your intention.
The effectiveness of a spell is based more on the skill of the magickian casting the spell, than the spell itself.
Forbidden is a very subjective term. In some cultures drinking blood is forbidden, while in others...
Most spells only demonstrates an increase of jealousy, frustration, greed, selfishness, negativity and inability to accept other's happiness & growth. Be careful not to open a door that brings you negativity and sorrow because of your desires.
Many great responses.
I've been in the same room as some books handed down generation after generation-- and the air in the room seems to 'hum' with power and information.
It really depends on what's considered taboo. Forced Love? Undeserved/Unearned Wealth?
What works for one may not work for another for a variety of reasons-- and sometimes its just better off not knowing the consequences of some actions.
A book of Spells is just the event that occur during any rituals. Yes, You can write spells or what ever you wish. I write my spell in a cloth materials and roll them after I used them.
I believe we have to search us what is found within our souls we can make it rain, maybe storm but watch out for the next tornado :)!
Once people learn the basic composition of a spell it's common for them to write their own and keep them in a book or journal of sorts along with any other rituals and paranormal experiences, it's typically called a book of shadows. I've seen a few that are published but the majority aren't, some people keep them private and off limits to others.
Books with spells definitely do exist, it just depends what you believe and what works for you.
It really depends on if you are meaning Wicca or not. Generally those involved with Traditional European Witchcraft do not keep Books of Shadows and they don't do rote spells. As time passes some are picking up things from Wicca to a degree. Most things were orally passed down. The implements they use are different as well.
Now if you are talking about something like chaosmagic sometimes they are logged so you can go back later and see if they worked because after you do your working you are suppose to forget them. You create what you are going to do and how each time. I always followed Spare's methods. If it is dark then that is Sorcery and it would depend on the individual and what they were trying to do and most likely have some sort of Grimoire. It really depends on the person because nowadays there are so many things springing up and crossing over. I mean you can buy books of spells but like everyone has stated, the ones that are really going to work for you are the ones you create yourself. If you want to keep a record of them it is up to you.
It depends on the Witch and how powerful she is. If she leave a book behind and your are compatible with the books energy it is sure to work.
Let us say, books have a mind of their own and you need know how to treat and read them.
It is true, what works for one may not work for another; personal spells are the strongest. But at the end, we are all sisters of the Craft.
I've never seen a book of spells myself except in the movies I certainly hope they do exist I'd like to to use one
I have collected some really great "spells" over the years. I do have a Book of Shadows, and also write my own spells. I really think that the person working the spell has the power to make it work if they truly believe in what they are doing. Working something bad will just come back at you, three fold law. Unfortunately, there are people who work bad magick. So, yes, there is definitely evil magick going on.
I kind of see spellbooks like cookbooks. It's nice to know what someone else is doing, and once in a while you come across something inspiring, however if you have any experience, what use is there for one? Although I believe in the power of words, I think there is charm in variation.
It's best if you make your own, like so many others have said.
Only if you have practiced and studied this for at least a few years and you're sure you can cast a spell.. This is something to be wary of
I always thought of learning spells to be akin to learning a language. You can copy what someone else says, but the context may not be the same. The most anyone can really do for you is to teach you how to speak the language so you know what to say to get what you want.
I think a Book of Spells is essentially what a Book of Shadows is. The modern world has resorted to micro- classify everything. Usually a clan or a Coven has its own Book of Shadows. However, nowadays, anyone can have one, it seems. It's very personalised. As Doru mentioned, why open yourself mindlessly to these things? It's just going to attract what you give out someday or the other. Spells are just one of the ways to attract energies that might be of assistance to you. It's like lending a hand to someone who needs it. There are chants, mantras, prayers that can equally achieve that same purpose. It's all in the Intent. What are your motives?
