I enjoyed the last thread, as I live in a place were there are a lot of haunted dwellings.
So I hope to be able to continue this thread:
ABC CINEMA PLYMOUTH, DEVON
The ABC cinema is one of the oldest buildings in Plymouth. Built on the site of the old Theatre Royal. The cinema has been investigated before.
The most recent investigation was carried out in December 2005. The investigation team "Magic2k" visited the site recently and the report below outlines some of the events that took place.
"When Magic2k visited the property with a crack team of paranormal investigators (including a journalist from the Evening Herald), they discovered hauntings by a lady called Winnie or Minnie (though the medium could not specify), a man called Jack and a small girl, Jessica who; in screen 2 during a pitch-black séance, was said to be responsible for the fantastic light show, feelings of people touching the investigators, bangings and even a fully-formed apparition of a young girl - perhaps Jessica Herself.
There was also a mention in this article,
of another investigation this year. As of this report, it had not happened yet.
there are two haunted places in paducah, ky where i live, one was even featured on national tv, the place is called c. c. cohens.
Here is a one about Princetown, I thought it might be fitting as a holiday story:
THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY
The legendary "drummer boy" story is quite common in the areas around Princetown. Was it true? Well we know that prisoners did indeed walk from the docks in Plymouth to Princetown and that the moor can be notorious in the winter so maybe it is.
Throughout the Napoleonic wars, prison ships used to dock at Plymouth, the French prisoners had to march across the moor to Princetown. The French prisoners were escorted across by soldiers and often had to cross the moor during winter. When the prisoners were near the Devils Elbow, a storm big snow struck. The moor was covered in snow within a few minutes.
The prisoners clothing was freezing, so the soldiers tried to find some shelter from the snow storm. Soon they found a small gully where they took shelter. But the storm just wouldn’t go away. Some of the soldiers on horseback went out to try and find the prison and return with a rescue party. So they could find the French prisoners and their guards on their return, the little drummer boy was told to keep playing a beat on his drum.
The weather was getting worse and the horses were having trouble walking in the snow and it wasn’t long before these soldiers were themselves stranded in the storm. As night came, the French prisoners and the few remaining soldiers started to give up hope of being rescued, but the little drummer boy carried on playing his drum. Soon, two of the French prisoners had frozen to death and the rest were near to exhaustion. The soldiers that remained with the prisoners thought that the French prisoners wouldn’t run away and decided they would try and get to Princetown for some help. The little drummer boy was instructed to stay with the prisoners and continue playing his drum. Fingers blue with cold, he continued to beat his drum rhythmically and could still be heard by the soldiers, now on foot, as they headed up the gully.
When the snow stopped a rescue party was sent from the prison to find the young boy and French prisoners. Eventually the gully was found but it was too late. The rescuers were faced with the pitiful sight of the French prisoners frozen corpses and to the side was the little drummer boy. His body was stiff with the cold with his drumsticks in his hands, as though he drummed right up to final seconds of life.
Legend has it, when any storm is headed towards Princetown, the slow steady beat of a drum can be heard, echoing from the gully where the little drummer boy perished and then without fail the snows will begin to fall.

There are a lot of good ghost stories from Devon, you are one lucky girl.
There is a myth from Scotland though that I find really fascinating.
THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN.
Members of the Scottish MacLaine clan despise the nightly sound of hooves and whininess like the plague. They fear the sight of a ghostly horse, carrying a headless rider, who is said to bring death.
The horseman’s name was Ewen of the Little Head. Ewen was son of, and heir of one of the MacLaine leader, but was jealous on his fathers wealth.
There was a lot of unsolved disputes between the two men, and finally they decided to settle the conflict with weapons.
In the year 1538, the father and son both lead their own troops in a battle that ended with one of the fathers warriors decapitating the son.
From that time up till now, people say that the headless Ewen, is riding, for the sole purpose of harvesting souls amongst the MacLaines.
The twist of this story is, that the headless horseman was said to have received a death warning himself.
The old laundering wife, a Scottish mythological woman, related to the Irish Banshee, had the grizzly job of washing the blood stained shirts of the fighters that were to perish.
One evening, Ewen was walking along the river, when he saw an old woman, in the middle of washing a stack of bloodstained shirts. He asked the old woman if his shirt was in pile, and she said it was. But, he could avoid his death, the old woman told him, if Ewens wife, unbidden, would serve butter along with breakfast the next morning.
Unfortunately for Ewen, his wife was a lousy cook so there was no butter. The doomed man started to calmly eat his dry bread, well knowing that he was never to ride home again.
There is one more of my favourites, and I hope to go there some day soon, it is also a haunting found in Devon, or the Lydford ravine to be exact.
There is a small dark pound in the Lyford ravine that gains water from a 7 metre tall waterfall known as Kitty’s step, and it is said to be inhabited by a water spirit.
The story goes that an old lady named Kitty, was on her way home from the market, many years ago, but instead of following the main road, she turned her horse and rode through a shortcut through the ravine, and the small trail that led past the waterfall where she used to play as a child.
Recent rain might have made the muddy trail slippery or, as some people say, the water spirit had lured Kitty to the pound, but no matter how you put it, Kitty never returned home and was presumed drowned. Her horse was found, grassing peacefully at the river bank, and a red scarf that Kitty wore was found close to the pound.
Since then, the ghost of Kitty has been spotted several times, standing near the waterfall, gazing down the dark water.
In 1968, the pound, or water spirit, as some say, claimed yet another victim. A young soldier who was in a hurry to return back to the barracks, decided to take a shortcut through the ravine. He was missing for weeks before they found him floating in the pound, right below Kitty’s step.
I used to do paranormal investigations as a late teenager. Devon is fascinating.
Heres one to creep you out: One that not many people know, in fact only a handful.
I was about 8 years old, in my friend Joes house (Joe since moved away). We were in his bedroom playing with toys, when we looked out the window and saw an old man walking past. He turned and all I can describe his eyes are is that they seemed not to be there.
This was made worse by the fact that the bedroom was upstairs. I talked to his parents a couple of years later, and apparently the guy who had owned the house back in the sixties was a child molester and killed a girl of ten.
Scariest thing ever. I think the place has since been cleansed because i HAVE not heard anything else. Joes parents had seen him before, and many weird things had happened in that house.
Orobas:
I can only imagine, how terrifying an expeience like must have been. Especially at such a young age.
There are a few haunted homes by me but no notable ones. All the really good haunting are north or south of me.. There are some really cool haunted house in Savanah Georgia
Here is actually home not far from where I am at. Whether it is still haunted, who can? The family who stays there. As reported below, has not experienced anything unusual:
21 CAMDEN ST - GREENBANK PLYMOUTH
Over the period between early 1995 - 1996 the above address was said to have been dogged by strange paranormal occurrences. The Plymouth Herald reported that strange figures had been seen in the house and that strange noises, whispering and figures had been seen by 2 previous occupants of the building - both of whom had been forced to leave! Steve Hensman was the occupant of the building in 1996 when the incidents where brought to the attention of the Plymouth Herald.
The Devon and Cornwall Housing trust must have treated the matter seriously and 2 separate visits were made by priests in an effort to stop the activity. Mr Hensman was also eventually rehoused.
Today it would appear that the house has returned to normality. The occupants living at the address reported to the Herald in December 2005 that in the 3 years that they had lived there no activity had been experienced.

We have many haunted places in Ohio. Especially at the old prisons and civil war prison camps. Mansfield Prison holds an annual Halloween "overnighter" quite an experience I tell you. Many Lost Spirits there.
I also had a close encounter down in Pigeon Forge Tennessee during a ghost hunt tour. It came aboard our bus...the guide felt it but didn't say anything. She told me when we got back that I must be very sensitive because it was a weak one that not many people could've sensed.
There are alot of haunted Sanitiriums where I live and as kids we use to go to sneak in them yet then they would scare us half to death so it became to the point that we just stated away and some that were tore down and subdivisions built have had problems so the spirits are restless there..
I am surpried that we have not heard anything from anyone in Louisana, United States.
I have heard rumors that there are many places down there that are haunted.
I don't know if it counts as a hunt, but about a week after my mother died , a woman walked up to me in the street (I was 10 years old and playing with friends) and asked 'don't you know me?' She was the living image of my mother, but pale and tired looking and scared me out of my wits!
When I backed away from her, making excuses and looking around for my friends or someone I could call to, she sighed and stepped back into the shadow of garden gate. When I looked back she had disappeared.
I'm sure there's a 'rational' explanation, but as far as I'm concerned, my mum came back to make sure I was OK.
Legend:
I believe you are right. It probably was your mum come to check on.
That counts as a ghost story.
I am just sorry, that it happen while you were so young, and that it frightened you.
there is a town just 30 miles from here that has a cliff that had one huge tower on it back in the early 1700's. it was said that a man and woman had just gotten married and her husband got called off to war...well during this she stayed in the house and never left...dont know if it was cause of the grieving or just plain starving herself that she died...now all that remains of the tower are very old ruins. but the townsfolk have said and recorded a spirit of a woman that walks the grounds and cries loudly....i found this very interesting and any thread that has hauntings or ghosts in it ..im there lol
WrathsChild:
You have given us just what we are looking for. Thank you for sharing your story. Feel free to add any others you might come across.
right here in my own town...
back in the 1950's
there was a young boy that had come to the hospital and had chicken poks and the doctor miss diagnosed him and gave him the wrong medicne..the boy died that night....but even through many changes at the hospital...you can still see the boy walking down the hall on the second floor and humming
I have one that I think is interesting:
HAUNTING IN THE VICTUALLING YARD
ROYAL WILLIAM YARD - PLYMOUTH DEVON
It should come as no surprise that the Royal William Yard may well be haunted. Years of use in supply of victuals to the Royal Navy has ensured that life stories are and have been replayed though the grey and austere walls.
The yard has as far as we are aware never been investigated nor is it likely that it ever will as it now forms part of a high quality development. The yard is "private property" and should not be visited without the necessary permission.
The yard can be assessed via the archway in Cremyll St where the 13.9 ft statue on King William looks down upon the new roundabout. The stone used was Portland and the archway bares the insignia of the Naval Victualling board - The Ox Heads and fouled anchors. There are additional access points from the sea at both Firestone Bay and the Clarence Building.
These are actual account of visitors there:
I don’t know if you've heard of this one but (quite) a few years ago I had the privilege of working at the Royal William Yard before Urban Splash took over. In those days it still had a rarefied atmosphere and I doubt if any of their regeneration will have changed some of the things that happened/happen there.
The main parade ground (now grassed over) used to house cattle that would be chucked overboard in the pool on the other side of the wall, they would Swim ashore and come through the tunnel in the wall to await their fate as 'bully beef' in the slaughter house on site. As the original use of the RWY Came to an end and the buildings were left empty they became very spooky and for good reason.
Late in the evening it was possible to hear cattle lowing (and it wasn't coming from across the water as Mount Edgcumbe only has deer and sheep). Occasionally you could hear cattle hooves on the cobbled bits of the yard...even though it was grassed over.
No 2 building used to house the Admiral Surgeon and his household...including an old retainer 'sea dog'. His realm was the basement and cellar. When Groundwork moved in in 1990, the conservation and community teams were housed in the same area. On dark evenings the lights would often remain on...even thought you knew you'd just turned them off. We frequently had to reopen the building to turn the lights off (again). We soon learned to say 'goodnight' to him...as this seemed to stop the lights issue happening.
In the rooms downstairs the floors were flag stoned. We would frequently hear the sound of a rocking chair creaking and, first thing in the morning, the strong smell of tobacco...even though it was a non-smoking site. One of the cleaners was so spooked she refused to work there ever again."
OLD ROYAL MARINES POLICE BUILDING
Located outside the of the Royal William Yard look right and one will observe a large pink building that now houses private accommodation. This large building was formerly used by the Royal Marines Police prior to their move back to Stonehouse Barracks.
"I used to work in the Royal Marines building that lies opposite the Royal William Yard. This building was I understand the former Royal Marines Infirmary although someone may know better! I can remember lifting tiles in one of the ground floor rear offices to reveal blood drain a ways for the old mortuary.
The building was very dark and ominous even throughout the day. During the night I was often required to remain in the building alone. I often heard voices and footsteps and more often than not - I could be found outside with the Phone!
I had previously visited upstairs but found no one - this was a continuous event. The voices were definitely heard and the footsteps where clear and could not be mistaken for the creaking of the old building. I wonder if the current occupiers are experiencing the same things?"
As the beginning stated, they have never investigated it.
Again, courtesy of the Devon Hauntings.
i would love to investigate any place that even has a taste of paranormal activity. ..you do live in a good place for that mistress siobhan and for that i applaud you :)
WrathsChild:
You could always move to Devon. You would be able to investigate until your hearts content. ~smiles~
It is fine. This next tale, is just for you, Wrathschild:
KITTY JAY
The legend of Kitty Jay and Dartmoor are as mysterious as each other although Haunted Devon believe there is at least some truth in the legend of this poor unfortunate girl.
It is said that in the late eighteenth century a baby was taken into the Poor House at Newton Abbott - her surname (as was usual at the time) began with whatever the poorhouse records had progressed through at that time in this case "J" although as the word Jay was also the slang word for a "lady of the night" the name Mary was also added. It was common in those days for poor house occupants to be apprenticed to a local farm or workplace and in return for extremely hard labour the apprentice would receive food and shelter but little more.
Mary was allegedly employed at Canna Farm where she began to attract the eyes of the farmers son she may also have been nicknamed "Kitty" at that time. It was here that she fell pregnant to the young son and was later released from her apprenticeship and pronounced a "slut".
Her reputation in tatters Kitty had a choice between the poor house or as she finally chose - suicide. Kitty was found hanging in a barn at Canna and was buried as was custom at a crossroads.
Strange figures have been seen at the site although it is not known if it is the spirit of Kitty or the young farmer. Flowers appear on the grave although no one is sure who places them.
Kittys Grave is situated 2 miles north of Widecombe-in-the-moor.
that is a beautiful story mistress
and thank you so very much for it :)
ill have more to come myself hehe
The most famous ghost huanting/hunt here in Tennessee is that of the Bell Witch.
I have seen some have tried to summon, many have been badly injured.
If I ever go on a "hunt" I never provoke them.
In the early 1800s, John Bell moved his family from North Carolina to the Red River bottomland in Robertson County, Tennessee, settling in a community that later became known as Adams. Bell purchased some land and a large home for his family. The Bells quickly made many friends and gained prominence in the community. John Bell acquired additional land and cleared a number of fields over the next several years.
Betsy Bell
One day in 1817, John Bell was inspecting his corn field when he encountered a strange-looking animal sitting in the middle of a corn row. Shocked by the appearance of this animal, which had the body of a dog and the head of a rabbit, Bell shot several times to no avail. The animal vanished. Bell thought nothing more about the incident--at least not until after dinner. That evening, the Bells began hearing "beating" sounds on the outside walls of their house.
John Bell, Jr.
These mysterious sounds continued with increased force each night. Bell and his sons often hurried outside to catch the culprit but always returned empty-handed. The noises were soon followed by more problems. The Bell children began waking up frightened and complaining of sounds like rats gnawing at their bedposts. It wasn't long until the children began complaining of more terrifying things--having their bed covers pulled and their pillows were tossed onto the floor by a seemingly invisible force.
As time went on, the Bells began to hear even stranger noises. Only this time, they sounded like faint, whispering voices--too weak to understand--sounding like a feeble old woman crying or singing hymns. The encounters escalated, and the Bells’ youngest daughter, Betsy, began experiencing physically brutal encounters with the entity. It relentlessly pulled her hair and slapped her, often leaving visible prints on her face and body for days at a time. The evil disturbances escalated over the next year to the point it was time for John Bell to share his "family trouble" with his closest friend and neighbor, James Johnston.
Johnston and his wife spent the night at the Bell home, where they were subjected to the same terrifying disturbances that the Bells experienced. After having his bedcovers repeatedly removed, and being slapped, Johnston sprang out of bed, asking, "I ask you in the name of the Lord God, who are you and what do you want?" There was no response of any type, but the remainder of the night was peaceful.
The "Bell Witch" went on to tourment the local residences and has spread to the who region.
Xzavier:
Are there still incidents of the "Bell Witch tormenting the region?
in a town 5 miles from here, back out about 3 miles from town there was a place that they recently tore down that was a plce that a horrid multiple murder took place.
back in the late 1800's a person named luccile lived in a house back away from town and well was basically just a hermit type of person.
a boy scout troop from that time had went into the forest to camp and earn merrit badges and do what they did at that time..well while they were camping a bad thunderstorm had begun and it had blew away the tents and all.. they wandered the forest until they come upon lucilles house....
she told them that they could stay the night and took in a whole cub scout troop plus the leaders
later that night luccile went nuts and killed every one of them but two of them
to this day ....the house is gone now but the spirit of lucille lingers there being seen by many passer bys and the childern can be heard from the road screaming ....i have investigated this and well i have some interesting stuff from there hehe
Wrathschild:
A very gruesome tale. I am sure, that you have some very interesting objects, from the area.
hell well there is always Winchester Mystery House right up the road, but it isn't haunted anymore. really peopl;e it isn't.
there is a place in the hills of San Jose ca. on Hicks road.
I won't go there. there is bravery and then there is stupidity.
All I really know is that there is a force up there and it isn't friendly. teens have daring each other for decades to go up Hicks road...
I have person very close to me who was trained to be able to handle stuff like this since childhood.
They won't go up there either.
i have many ...its just the idea of which one to put...
i try and put what i think is the best ones up first but that doesent seem to be working so ill go with some less violent ones for starters.
When i was a little girl my step dads mom had passed away and the very night when everyone was sleeping there was a noise that woke up me and my sister .it was coming from the living room and when we got out there we saw her sitting in her favorite rocking chair rocking and when she looked up .you could see her pale face and then she would just vanish it happened a few more times after that ..my mom said it was time to get rid of the chair and we did and we never seen her again
The house my sister used to live in is haunted. But she would know more about than I do.
I know that my elders home is often visited by spirits....but they are usually just passing through. the will usually bang a drum or shake a rattle to let you know they were there.
For those of you have posted:
Have any of the place outside of the home ever been officially investigated?
I don't think hicks road has been. it is like one of our local urban legends.
yes ...i have traveled as far as southern mississippi to do investigations
i dont agree with hunting down ghosts cuz i lived in a house were the ghosts just wanted to be left alone and we did.... i'm just saying that not all ghosts or spirits want to be messed with they just want to live the rest of they're after life were they are....
The Bell Witch has been seen through out the area and is a very unpleasent spirit.
Many have died or become seriously injured even more so now that she has become main stream in this area.
Xzavier:
I know that she is the local legend, but if people are being injured and dying, are they planning on doing something about her?
I am not sure what you would do to get rid of an angry spirit. It would seem that she is need of a place where she can go where she can do no harm to others.
Atyourwindow:
Not a bad idea.~lol~
Maybe they could answer all questions we have.
Here is a bit of history and a live account of a haunting at one of the old hospitals:
Many people that we have spoken to have been very wary about the history of Moorhaven (Blackadon Hospital) and the suggestion that paranormal activity takes place there.
Moorhaven was originally the Plymouth Asylum, built in response to a mental health act of the 1880's that required each major county and city to build an asylum for its own patients. J Hine and Odgers submitted the lowest tender of £25,900 and built the main buildings between 1886 and 1889. The hospital, designed to accommodate 203 patients, was formally opened by the mayor of Plymouth, J T Bond, in 1892.
The NHS took over the hospital in 1949 and finally in the 1980's a descision was made nationally to dispose of most asylums. Moorhaven was redeveloped and in 1998 was sold off as private dwellings.
Here is the account. I will post all of what was given.
We have changed the names in order to preserve their identities:
"Gill and I were babysitting in a house in Moorhaven. The house in which we baby sit is part of a number of houses that used to be Moorhaven Mental Hospital (previously know as Moorhaven Lunatic Asylum, Blackadon Hospital).
The hospital was home to over 400 mentally ill patients who lived and died at the hospital. Their bodies either buried in the neighbouring chapel or in the morgue (now converted into a nursey). The nursey is said to be haunted by a ghost name Whinnie who haunts the baby room and near the toilets. She has been sighted by workers there. Hannah and I were babysitting one night when, as we sat in the lounge, the whole house blacked out.
We were left in embrace, in pitch black for 2 minutes before the lights returned. When they came back we armed ourselves with two fireplace pokers for protection and went into the hallway, towards the kitchen when the grand piano in the lounge began to play, which we have also encountered on a precious occasion. Having heard this we ran towards a cloakroom at the front of the house, armed still with the pokers and went into the room.
As soon as we had shut the door behind us the lights immediately cut out. We were left in complete darkness for 45 minutes with no phone connection, only the eerie sounds of the house. We were later informed that the houses fuse box, that is connected to the lights and switches, can only be manually switched back on after power failure, which we did not do due to not knowing where the fuse box is situated.
The houses are said to be haunted by the patients that were treated and died at the hospital. We have no doubt that the houses are indeed haunted and hold a tragic terror within them.

As a sidenote: this account can also be found on the BBC website.
The problem is once you have a large following of people who believe e.g litraly millions its hard to get ride of a spirit, uness you 1) either get a huge body involed to do the rituals (which does not exist) or 2) you get the government involved in some fasion which wouldnt do crap.
If you believe in a and you speak of it, it will come, and thats goes for even if you are just an on looker and dont think its real.
Xzavier:
I am not sure whether I believe that or not. I will not discount it.
Good luck to those who must deal with her.
Thank you again for sharing your story.
where i live in england we have a big house in a manner witch has loads of ghosts .the white lady and the headless horseman in bewesy old hall and the crying child .
Here's my contribution from Maryland USA:
Crownsville - RT 32 towards Annapolis - If you stop on the side of the road about 2:30am there have been sightings of a woman in a car with head lights suddenly appearing behind you without a sound. She will get out and ask you if everything is all right. And then she will walk back to her car and suddenly disappear again without a sound.
Maddog and Aiobheal:
Thank you both for your input. Aiobheal, you tale gives me chills. I am not sure, I would like to visit your area.
I live in Tennessee a state of over 5 million from the location of the Bell Family Home to my house there is over 3 million people, every school child here knows of the story and as a game they will chant and "bring" her out this often leads to harm. If I am not mistaken a movie was done a few years back on her, simply google bell witch.
As far as belief it is a bit like Lucifarians speaking of the devil and putting energy into those words, will arise, some great evil force.
why not just leave ghost alone. if they wanted to communicated with they will come talk to us. other than that i say we just leave them alone.
Because they are stupid, no just ignorant.
The highest problem area is of course kids they simply don't know any better and parents are'nt going to do much because they think its funny to have a kid come out screaming.
when i was about 6 or 7 wehn we still lived in our old house i was sitting at the breakfast table with my 2 older brothers kevin and bryan my mom was cooking in the kitchen and we heard someone running up and down our stairs my mom walked to the door way of the kitchen and screamed whos running up and down the stairs a simple answer "me" we all heard it my 2 brothers me and my mom it sounded like a lil kid anyway my mom walked to the entrance and looked out the window my oldest sister liz was outside washing the car with her friend my dad was on a buissness trip she asked "me who" no one answered we all checked upstairs and everywere there was no one there.
here is a tale from just right down the street where i live...
in the early 1800's there was a clay/ pottery plant. the wner of this place had his clay pit about 10 miles from here. he had hundereds of workers. one day it had rained and the entire pit had caved in and killed 90% of the workers. distraught from the loss of his pit and his family at the pit, he went home and hung himself.
till this day ppl can still see the man walk up his steps and if you look in the windows can still see him hanging there
Xzavier:
I would have to agree. I don't think it is the children faults. Children are fancinated by such things.
I would directly blame the parents, as they know the consequences of their children's actions and find humor in it.
I really do believe to speak of evil enough, is to manifest it.
here the san Jose bay area where I live there are 3 different toys 'r 'us stores that are haunted. I have worked in two of them.
at the time I was not aware of the tale of the hauntings. I know for a fact the at lest one has been investigated. that one is said to house the spirit of a girl that was raped and murdered in the fields that use to be where the tht toys 'r ' us store is.
i've been to the mansfield reformity on a ghost hunts. it was verrrrry cool. one of the people actual felt as if one of these ghost came home with him.
Isn't it bizarre that a spirit would leave the place that it has been haunting for a number of years to follow a friend of yours home.
Supposedly back in the eighties, In one of the dorms in my high school, a girl hung herself due to failing grades coupled with a break up, and her ghost could be heard sobbing and wandering the halls at night. The building has since been demolished, preventing any further investigation, much to my dismay.
Niteowl47, can you still here the sobbing ar has one checked? She very could be still there. Like my Toys'r'us there is a very real chance tht any building built there she will haunt.
there are two places that I know of where you can find spirits easily...and that is Sotterly Plantation and Point Lookout
both of these places are located in St.Mary's County MD
we have a town that is haunted in northern california. it is called Old Jamestown. it is said that on some nights that you can hear the screams of those that died whe the town was set ablaze.
There is a haunted camping ground in washington called fort flagler
Some one sent me a e-mail that had every state. Then you would click on the state and then it would show what was haunted in that state and had up dates to.
One cool thing was we go to a lake in northern Indiana and there is a Hotel there that has a haunted room I am going to check it out.
there is a lake where i live. sometimes when there is a full moon, there will be a a girl dancing on the lake. the story that goes with that. this gorl was boating with some friends and she was sking. she fell into the water and none could save her. so she drowned and now when there is a full moon, you can see her dancing. also i have a ghost town called silver city, in the middle of town by the old church, you can see a cowboy walking around. it looks like his neck has been shot off.
well theres a haunted school in my town and every few months a kids will come out of there screaming like babies saying no don't feed us anymore babyfood
If anyone wants some FYI, Okinawa is supposed to be one of the most haunted islands in the Pacific.
I've heard a few stories myself about the island. Nothing I've seen myself, yet, I do get some off vibes from time to time when driving around to and from work at night.

i live in alabama home of the famous 13 alabama ghost and jeffery.
I enjoy studying the paranormal...
has anyone ever encountered a disembodied spirit? (i.e. a demon) before?
There's an abandoned house forur miles down the road from mine that is inhabited by a female human spirit. I can't tell if it's the mother of a family, or a maid. She puts the clothes of her ex-children in piles on the floor.
Other than that, I've never really encountered another 'Haunted place' really.
We have a lot of interesting haunts in my area. For a great read- find a book by Troy Taylor- Haunted Alton. If you like history and haunts- it's amazing.
My Couisins lived in PA ina haunted house with an automotive shop underneath. The man had a car drop on him and he died in the shop. They have had tools and equipent try to bash their heads in. Wrenches plying thru the air at their heads with no one else in the shop or house. Hard to exsplain as natural occurences.
where i am from here in alabama we have 13 diffrent haunted places. one of which i'm close to is old cahaba the original capital of alabama where wars happened. it is known that if u go there at night u can hear people talking, see shadows, and hear cannons and guns being shot off.
Back when i was a small child we had very weird thing's happening in are home. The very first account was my mom was woke up by sound's of people talking she got up went to top of step's to look down them and it would stop ...then it progressed it other more extreme stuff started happeneing cross's started being turned upside down in are house, once we were all sitting at diningroom table getting ready to eat dinner and my brother's plate kept moving away from him as he tried to eat ....never seen a guy get up and run so fast door's opening and closing by themselves ....never would the ghost's make themselve's seen but they let us know they were there ....then my parent's had enough they brought in priest's from are local church to bless the house everything went fine....not even 2 day's later it all started back up again so my mom had backround of are house studied and found out right where are house was there used to be a hotel and a angry card player that lost all his money had went on a shooting spree in it killing alot of people ....that was all the voices people talking she would here at night ...erie eh...take it my parent's moved us within a week ...lol
