I have been searching about information and theories about Reiki in order to understand better the concept and its origins...Unfortunatelly, there are very few Reiki Masters in Romania and those who are keep their knowledge secret, as fearing that it might be stolen...
My wondering is if I am able to do that, if I am able to achieve the necessary enlightment to practice Reiki...

I will speak with my partner, there is an EXCELLENT reiki book out there, that not only has all you need to know, but even contains the symbols for atttunement! Something many will refuse to pass on, or show you, unless serious money changes hands.... I'll did out the book and post an ISBN number if I can!

I know that it is a catching on here in norCal. My friend is stuudying it now. I tend to stick to my traditional healings and meditation.

I think that those who look at it as a "fashion" will never be able to fully comprehend it...or even to apply it...there were a lot of "oriental fashions" that were adapted to the western civilization because they looked "cool" and impressive, but without proper understanding and exercisizing, no good will come out of it...

Indeed...I have heard some really strange stories about that... like any technique, without proper management and knowledge there is some really bad outcome...
Speaking about outcome... people tell that they feel a certain pressure on the affected spot also that when the healing process begins and the state of calm mind installs, there are certain colours seen...usually is blue, white and, they say the strongest, golden colour...but that also depends about the level of the one who does the treatment...

Yes it does work. I have a session about every two weeks on my knee...at least that was the way it started. Now it is a whole body thing. My knee is better and am able to walk with less pain.

through many years of learning about my psychic talents, i have come to know many people who practice reiki and also teach it. I have 2 friends that are reiki masters on irc, however i have never studied it and with my abilities have achieved the ability to heal others through other techniques and when explaining to the reiki masters i know they have told me that i would reach a masters level in no time as i have already surpassed many peoples abilities. I do simple energy healings in a manner that i feel is right and end with the same results as most reiki masters.

decent site, as for me i never really did reiki in contact with a persons flesh, i did it long distance online, was great when it started helping friends out, but most non believers when they were better..claimed it to be the medication then had just taken( doesn't help with practice heh)

My husband is very skilled in Reiki. It is a great art and I wish more people would partake in it.

I have been to a reiki healing session before and it is so relaxing and I love it.

There is an old Hindu term,I believe it's sensang,which means to teach is to learn.
The concept is that the teacher learns from teaching & in some cases the teacher learns from his/her students or disciples.
But,anybody can manipulate the energy in the way that you speak of,if they know the "mechanics" of it.
I have researched many things for alot of years,one of them is "psychic phenomenon" in a wide range.
I've "distributed" my energy to either other people or objects.
It can be learned with time & patience.
With most things of the mind and/or spirit,the true secret is that things are far simpler than the "masters" want for the majority to realize.

As with everything you may learn a lot from books and from the internet but in my opinion you must be taught from a "teacher" to truly understand the concepts. You can't ask the internet or a book on a particular "sticking point" of any certain lesson you are having difficulties with.

I know for a fact my wife is super interested in Reiki and will (hopefully) be taking classes. Once she's "done" with her studies I'll be able to take similar classes so I too can practice Reiki.

I am a licensed massage therapist and I know eastern theory(which includes Reiki) very well. I have one client who came back from Iraq with the lower half of his leg blown off.He has what is commonly called "phantom limb" where he can still feel his leg there.Actually it's your Pituitary gland in your brain that tricks you into believing it's still there.Anyway, I have to do energy work(Reiki) where his leg is missing cause it's the only thing he can feel in that area since obviously a traditional massage would not benefit him there.

A friend of mine's mother practices Reiki and has used it on her granddaughter's knee and back with some exceptional results. Would love to learn more as I'm always looking for ways to avoid taking pills to take away my pain.

I am a 3rd level Reiki Master. I use it on a regular basis with my massage therapy practice. I get amazing results.

Everybody has the potential to do Reiki. A first level Reiki practitioner can do as much hands on work as a 3rd level 'master'. Reiki practitioners are basically the focus & conduit for healing energies. "Essential Reiki" is a great book. When I get into the office I will find the authors name. This is the book that has the symbols in it. Great for studying, but you do need to be attuned by a Reiki Master... a service that I have never charged a dime for.

I used to know a fantastic Reiki master. I really believed in the things he did and it worked wonders for some people.

You are all going to need to study this when your bodies start to decompose during the Vampiric transformation, even for the witches that love to get their hands on Vampires, will need to know how to do internal organ massage to release toxins and stressers that lead to cancer, such as prions.

Reiki is deep internal organ massage.

Chakras are associated with the internal organs and science now have proof of that connection. Cool, I know. But Reiki has no connection to massage. None. Dead bodies or turning vamp - none.

Reiki is hands on - hands off.
There is no massage, no sliding of hands on body, dead or otherwise. This is also why it is still legal in the US and you do not need a massage licence to practice it.

oh yeah I remember. Some people were telling me on my last time on here that they just like hover their hands over the body.

Hmmmm, well, that is cool, but there is a function of psychic energies of the Reiki to actually alleviate tension in the body.

The immune system is aided through faith in the temporal lobe of the brain, and it must be that some tends to the ailing body that activates the immune system to heal thyself. This must be the principle on how the Reiki works.

Bless you! Every time I've asked anyone in the past about Reiki Books, I've always gotten the same answer, "You're wasting your money, its not something that can be learned in a book!" But at least now I will have an idea of what I need to expect from myself when I take a class.

It can indeed be learn from a book/s. And so can the Reiki symbols. The trouble is, you can't get the personal feedback or the personalize touch from the book.

Plus you don't get the attunement from a book and as such, Reiki doesn't work. There are many beliefs why this is so and Wm Rand did do research in this. So did hospitals with cancer patients. As for the attunements over the net, that is still debatable too. As you said, you do need to put the effort in to get anything back. I know how strong this is and the many experiences I had with all the attunements that I went through. I personally would like my student to call me if anything happen or if there are questions. But that is me. There are many places in the world where there are no Reiki Masters for that personal attunement, and the Universe knows this so maybe it might work for some. As anything in Life, it is the intent and effort that really matters.

I know that sounds ridiculous, but I have had so many supernatural abilities I never thought at 16, 26 or even 36 I would have had.

I mean I was normal golden boy plain as day, and had no powers at all. Just all body, yes my mind was evolved to a point to get to the point of breaking to create new pathways in the brain to give paranormal powers, my 3 kidneys reflect I was built for destruction,

but if I had offspring they would have these supernature powers, even if they had skin of indigo or whatever, there would be something in their brains so highly evolved and paranormal

this power of evolving the human brain to get to that point is Reiki, and it is not only knowledge of how to employ supernature

but it is a bed side manner, you know in the elden days the shaman and their sacred objects, waving feathers and the like

if we come from such peoples who have mastered these dark arts, we would have the intangiable that causes the patient to open up their soul in complete trust

it is perhaps in the process of giving oneself up completely to the ministrations of the practitioner that sets the body free and gets the wavelengths of the human vibe in them to change, in the alteration of the inner physiologial change due to the receptive state of the mind that causes the physical change,

it is necessary to have a bedside manner so disarming people can leave their bodies, there are states of mind that either increase or decrease hormonal secretions, brain chemicals, relaxants, and these are the true healing properties.

For if we do nothing about something they stress us, stress is what kills, it is what turns hair grey.

But the placebo effect is that instead of the mind worrying about an illness that kills you, the mind is relieved and instead of giving the illness power, we give healing the power.

This is how the mind affects the body. This is why Reiki might work even if there is no tangible link to the physical world.

But that does not strike out the possibility that there are supernatural powers of the mind from the highly evolved that can make the Master's aura converge with the inner rythmn of the patient.

There is a spectrum of evolutionary supernature powers, I am the first in line, the seventh son of the seventh son of a line of sinners that come from the one who sinned correctly to make the prototypical evolutionary stem cell humanoid, would perhaps have these powers of the mind, many generations down from their ancestry.


That cannot be learned from some book. I can guarentee you that.

master is not just a word...it is the level you get the different symbols to use while healing instead of the ordinary symbols.
These symboly are usually not drawn the correct way in books...it is why you need to train with a master if you want to do it right...you can get the gist of it out of books, but in person you get the whole real deal

The woman I am living with has had some experiences I would like to share with you.

She said that there was a massage technique with the use of hands that evolves into a no hands hover REIKI type massage technique.

After touching her trapezius muscles on the back of her neck where they connect to the neck, with the head lifted in a supine position, he picked his thumbs off of a high Chakra point and then kept his hands raised above her and the heat from his hands did something unique.

Her eyes were closed.

She saw something.

"What did you see?" the master masseuse asked.

Um, there was a red glow filling up my eyes

then it turned blue

and then there was like a white mushroom going up through my eyes.

"Ah", he said. "Then I did it right."

"Did what right?"

"Oh it is something muscular therapists call a HALF MOON, I learned it in Hawaii."

the other instance was something that brought her to tears, but it was an automatic response, and not emotional. He was touching her arms with finger tip ministrations and then he did the heat trick. In both cases she had been worked on for about an hour. He raised his hands and the heat from his hands caused some biochemical response that caused her to cry.

I asked my benefactor if she knew what it was that happened if you touched on between the thumb and the index finger, the spot where the webbing was, I had heard some stories about it having effects.

Yeah, it gets rid of headaches supposedly.

I remembered just the other day when the nerve death left my solar plexus, my lungs and I had the sensation of cobwebs descending upon my face.

I have had nerve problems for about 10 years, and I am a bit hypersensitive, just when the feeling became unbearable I felt a twitch on the webbing between the thumb and index finger.

Wow I said, just as it passed through my chakra point of the third eye, the AGNA described above, which is the center of the Gemini's being, the head ache had gone away.

The emotional release that made her cry is chakra related, and it was done without touching, it is a REIKI adaptive technique reached when a person is in a hypnotic state due to intense massage and disarming of the senses to be more fully receptive to touch, or heat transference.

The HALF MOON one was done more scientifically explainable. The eyes are governed in the occipital lobe or right by the nape of the neck where women adore to be touched kissed, sucked on and bitten, some see a mushroom cloud like an atomic bomb as I suck the blood out of them.

I have some friends who practice Reiki and I have found it to work. I prefur to have someone I know work on me because one time I had a bad experience with it.

My aunt used it on me when I was in labor with my son. It seemed to really help at first but then I needed the extra drugs ;)

PS--Yes, you can do the healing work, but you have to be certified and that will include you to be attuned to the healing power of the universe. Coming back from the vampire transformation by reclaiming the body, I had to take a leap of faith ButterflyXTemptress, now true vampires have to stay cold, that is a rule Hollywood even follows

but I incubated myself, which was a great chance. There are times when the vampire must resort to ice even, and sometimes cold water, and for the most part this is so.

I can admit that I did not have the ability of adaptation if it had not been for the constant changing demands on keeping the body different temperatures, sometimes ice is good, sometimes ice is too drastic, sometimes cold water is good, and sometimes water will kill you as a vampire.

Sometimes body temperature maintenance is so crazy the vampire just wants to die. It is embarrasing to admit to needing to sleep in a cold room on the floor and take cold showers for the rest of your life. This is not life you say, and then the vampire tries to kill himself because the comedy from the tragedy of the macabre is beyond humiliation. When life constantly proves unworthy of this existence of the vampire, and even for a vampire that enjoys being humiliated, because it is such a strange feeling to not be a man, um you just want out.

But because the insanity of the changes of devices was so diverse, I thought to myself for a second, maybe heat would be good?

i have recently just read an article about this, and found it very interesting that this is an art form that has been around for thousands of years and just recently been rediscovered

If Reiki is going to have some psychic effect, caffeine is going to speed up the effect and a cigarette is going to soothe the effect or slow it down.

Also helping the vibe of energy would be thinking that after this is over I can get a cigarette, that would speed up the energy too even though when you smoke it you would stop the thermodynamics with the cig, but by then it is over and you can wash all the hot oils off your body Raziel.

Drugs (caff, cigs, and anything with a hydroxl group) typically dehydrate and shift focus making the technique less effective. It is said that plain old water is the best catalyst for Reiki work.

Well, after a long thinking, I've accepted the initiation in Reiki... Now I am Level One, looking forward for Level Two and, I can tell you first-hand that the thing really works!
I have discovered a whole new world, new experiences, new objectives... I found in me a lot of energies that needed to be handled...
But, it all comes with a price...The transformations after the initiation are still rolling and very few of them are peaceful and relaxing...
But I hope I can manage...
One other thing: watch out who you choose for your master... Learn to be careful and read between the lines... Feel the man... Read what he published... Some of them tend to be vague, try to make you dizzy, not to see the contradictions in their words...
And, finally, Reiki can be learned only in practice... Reading books about it and not studying with a Master, is just a waste of time!

What I have found to be of interest about Reiki is that those that are often the most unhealthy or ill often are the ones practicing it. While I have no doubt there is power in folks to heal or destroy and that they are able to manipulate energy to do this I don't see this as an alternative to modern medicine, healthy lifestyles, or not having health insurance.

If I were to go to a practitioner of Reiki I would first do a check into their history of health because if they can't keep themselves well why would I pay or want them messing around with my energies?

I didn;t see the first Reiki thread... A few years ago my aunt got really into Reiki and was able to go into remission without chemo or radiation therapy. She was diagnosed with cancer and was in remission within the year. She found out about 6 months into her healing that her younger sister had found it herself and had already been practicing it for years. It's interesting to me that they felt it was "weird" or "different" enough that neither felt comfortable telling the rest of their family.

Believe it or not being taught energy work online is actually quite proficient. If you think about it the net is a incredible focus, energy going through lines to a central source where thousands if not millions of thoughts are being processed in the form of pictures and text.

It differs from television because you can actually interact and make decisions here where as on the Television you can only see what the powers that be are willing to allow you to watch.

Reiki first helps the spirit, then the body; if you read carefully, you will see that if the body of the organ is beyond repair then no force in the world will help you and Reiki also; Reiki is a way to spiritual evolution, a way of bringing the Universe's energy into your mind and body...
Reiki doesn't produce miracles; it doesn't guarantee healing... Reiki helps the healing process, offers a way for a better thinking and agreement with the illness, creates a door for the classical medicine to work better...

Reiki may and does do miracles. Miracles come from within. A quote form Dr Usui, 'we must first heal the mind/ spirit before the body can be healed successfully.' Reiki provides this healing. I have two miracles that are documented by doctors because of Reiki. Including my own mother that now has no sign of heart trouble and is off all heart medicine. Twenty years of problems doesn't just go away. The trouble is, there is way to guarantee what and where this healing is going to do and on what level of being. We aim for the Highest healing available - whatever that may be.

When doing reikia couple of things happen let me tell you of them.
i read on three levels emotional,physical and spiritual .
spriritual you get a great reading about 18 inches off the body then emotional and the closest to the body physical.
My hands get wet when starting that way i can conduct better . I heal and read present and past lifes. Which helps a ton because some of the thing wrong with the body could of happened many life times ago. The healing energy goes were it is needed i do not control that . I can control how long i stay over one area. Most people that are diffrent in one way or another i have found take care of the first two layers but not the physical all three make you whole and strong . If any reiki people see this and dont work the three levels try it you will get the diffrent feelings and readings .
Reiki is very cool welcome to any that wish to go down that road

I have been going to a Reiki therapist since June. Today she did something different. She incorporated some Shamanic smudging and drumming. It was very kewl. She had also lain crystals in a very distinctive pattern underneath the table. During the drumming, I kept having an image of myself on a mountain watching beautiful sunset as one eagle flew by. After drumming for a bit she went right into the Reiki format she had always used. I have felt really postive since this afternoon. More so than I have in a few weeks.

Don't know to much about it but what I do know is that u have to know what you are doing, because if you don't u can really screw someone up. My sis had someone work on her and she was hurting for days after.

Yay! I've just finished Rand's book, I've made my notes, going to start making my Pre-Attunement (diet, etc.) changes and see if I can stick to them. Also I will be taking the next couple of weeks to meditate on whether Reiki is my next stop on my quest of helping people.

It seems to me (and I am a brand new beginner here) that Reiki is much like the Shaman arts in that it is the "wounded healer" that is typically the most gifted practitioner? Why?

Well, let me see if I can put it in a clear tangible example.

cold slows it down and nicotine soothes

they are contraindicatad by Reiki masters because it does border on the dangerous, the speed of application on people with wek minds do not have the ability to gt into the right mind frame to receice the proper healing effect

The right brain can be soothed with music or agited, jazz I found helped with the soothing aspect

it all depends what body part you are working on

and i had a date tonight, and it got into my heart and I told her, I found like a cold espresso coffee jar in the fridge told her it was n my heart, because I could feel a pinch on my wrist, and then I drove her home.

Now it was a magical date, and I was busy rewiring my heart so it was integral to have a woman near me so I have the right thing in my heart while the heart neurons are being rewired.

People who receive heart transplant also receive some of the abilities of the heart donors. Hearts are the connector bewteen the groin and the brain, the heart is the wire between our godhead and our animal halves, and so there is some consciousness in the heart.

Although I disagree with you on the cafeeine and nicotine uses, I would agree with the water one.

One of the things I was vocalizing whilst I was being brainwashed to being her love slave was how could it happen while I was sitting up in a bucket seat?

Then I realized the mistake I made the night before, I had wanted to do a Reiki baptismal bath

as you know baptismals remove all sin, I always wanted to be baptised at the end of my life, and maybe I am at the end, but...

the bath got cold, and I was too big for the tub so I just stood up and received the hot water standing up.

Now Reiki is done lying down right? However if we train the body to an anchored experiece where wwe went through a baptism by fire standing up, then we could go about our ordinary lives and just in the presence of a woman or espresso feel the love fill our hearts and invade our right minds, for the heart is conected to the brain through the right hemisphere.

And if you think I am crazy, then you were not in the car because the convo that I had with her was pretty much supported by the lyrics in the songs playing. The Shakira Regaeton song, or Dire Straits Espresso love are fine examples that the thing I felt and experienced is a potentially universal experience.

This story was told to be by a master Reiki Healer. His mother was very ill, and he healed her. A few years later she became very ill again. Well, this is what just happened. I was going to go through the solar plexus of the lung and there was interesting twists. The scientific ramifications are yet to be seen. I could drop dead any second, but at least I arose after 30 minutes using stimulants to make the process quicker. Since clarity of mind was always a sign to rise before, here I am.

The ant crawling on the body is a psychelogical process called formication. Formication is when the body suffers from withdrawl. I believe my body had been so used to operating one way, that going back to the original way gave the feeling of going cold turkey.


The Vitamin A beta Carotine seemed to be the enzyme key to speed up the process because it seems to govern the area around the eyes, and helps with eyesight.

There is always the fear that you might be disturbed and the whole process will fall apart.

Then I went to a conversation with the two women I ate lunch with today, and it was nice.

So first it was the past as a baby, and then the second was the nearest psychedelic experience I had in the how point, and then this happened also in a dream state.

I was walking into a club, and a girl entered at the same time as me, and I let her walk in front of me, and she sat down at a bar stool, and I asked the bartender to get me what I wanted and I whipped out my wallet.

The girl took out her purse, but did not have any money.

I told the bartender that get her the free drink you used to have here, and he said no, we don't have that anymore: "She has to pay too." the bartender said.

Then after that, I got out of my over coats and got comfortable from out of the bed, and I laid down again, and like a trap door opened on the top of my head, it was barely perceptible, but it seemed like a koo koo clock portal had opened and something was set free.

Then I laid there for something else to happen, but then with the total clarity I knew the trip had ended.
