is there a certain blood type that tastes better than the others
It All Just Depends On Your Liking, Some Taste Better Than Others.....Personally I Like The rare....O-
In my personal opinion it is not the blood type that makes the taste of someones blood. I believe it is their energy or the being, that makes their blood taste. I had two donors with the same blood type and both tasted completely different.
I don't think blood type would influence taste, rather the diet and physical make up of the source
"I don't think blood type would influence taste, rather the diet and physical make up of the source"
^ That's true but it's also true that sometimes blood TYPE will influence taste. Rarer blood types like AB+ or AB- are differant from common O... Also the ABO blood type is VERY rare 'about 1 in every 1,000 people recieve the ABO blood type' so that's probably really good but since it's so rare it's not really a good idea to go hunting it down... They may need as many people as they have incase some kind of ABO based emergency happens... lol
I agree with those who said its not necessarily the type that affects taste. It really depends on other things, it depends on the person, everyone has their own taste.
blood for us is just like food for mortals. it mainly depends on ur tastes
i feel it has to do with what you put into your body determing the taste of blood
Well, I've never been to a blood buffet before or a local blood tasting bar so I really couldn't say. I've never seen any studies on this either.
I wouldn't imagine there being a difference in taste at all concerning the type. As far as whatever affect you might get from it, I would think that depends a lot on whats in there blood more than the blood type. ;)=
I am not so sure that bloodtype would influence the taste of it. Taste would more likely be based on the minerals and other chemical compounds in the blood. The bloodtypes are almost identical, the only difference being in the antigens and antibodies present. Try looking up bloodtype on wikipedia. That should give you some insight on blood. ;-)
I,m O- But I don give i drink blood.
Favorites i don't have but have found out that most vampires have o type
I think you should be a very picky eater being as what you're drinking could be potentially harmful...lol
personally, I'm a risk taker. I'm not looking to live forever. I actually think I'm half dead already.
I stand by not being a picky eater.
HellaciousRose: "I think you should be a very picky eater being as what you're drinking could be potentially harmful...lol"
I must agree with you on that. I must also agree that it's not quite the blood type that determines the differences in the taste, its mainly what the person consumes, and therefore what minerals and other compounds are in the blood stream as to how one's blood tastes.
Being a risk taker & playing with you're life are in two different catergories of their own if you ask me. It's pretty silly.
It's quite possible you could get AIDs, if thats what you want for yourself, who am I to say anything
It's quite possible you could get AIDs, if thats what you want for yourself, who am I to say anything
I agree u must check ur donor
i prefer any type but it has to come from a male i dont care for femal blood that much
Fine we'll comprimise - I promise to wash my hands after I feed
I doubt I'd ever drink from anyone unless I knew them inside out, even if they had of had tests...If its supposed to be an intimate process, I doubt I'd want to try that type of intimacy with a stranger, tested or not.
Excuse my crudeness Queen but it's no skin off my ass either way, as long as you know the dangers & Im sure you do, then whatever you catch, if you do, you only have yourself to blame
even if you know them inside and out, its still possible to get AIDS if they have the virus. I don't know too many people with the AIDS virus so I'm not worried and I'm not going to deny myself some blood because I'm afraid.
So instead you'll deny yourself you're life by taking that risk (of course if you do get it)
When you could have been more vigilant & of kept it
vincento, because we disagree doesn't mean you have to throw insults. There's risks everywhere. I take whatever necessary precautions if I'm feeling the mood for it. You worry about you and I'll worry about me. Being extra careful with your donor is not going to prolong your life so let go of the AIDS topic.
"Being extra careful with your donor is not going to prolong your life so let go of the AIDS topic."
Erm how do you work that one out? If you get AID's it will cut you're life very short, so yes, being vigilant CAN prolong you're life
there's too many ways to die to claim vigilance is going to make sure you don't get AIDS. That's like saying if you don't smoke you won't get lung cancer.
& thats like saying oh what the hell, diseases spread like wild fire nowdays, but it won't happen to me, when Im doing something that is very risky.
I never said it won't happen to me. I know I can contract HIV. This still doesn't mean that's how I'm going to die. In my family, many people get cancer. I think my risk for cancer is higher than my risk for AIDS from drinking blood : /
Vincento "Favorites i don't have but have found out that most vampires have o type "
Statistically most people are O so that's not really a surprise
well I have the rarest....B- I think I would taste pretty awesome.
You really have to take more things than the type into mind when thinking of taste. I find that people that do not eat meat taste odd. Or if some one eats a lot of spicy food thier may taste that way as well. But to answer the question, I think type O- is the best.
Their diet affects the taste alot but I don't know about the RH factor and/or type affecting the taste.
I don't know much about blood types but I would imagine that if there is anything that would make a difference in taste it would be diet....I don't think it has much to do with blood types.
I am O- and I know what my blood taste like, and I know what my ex husbands blood taste like he is O+.... and now I know what my boyfriends blood taste like..... .between the 3 of us I like that taste of my boyfriends better. Good thing since I no longer have much contact with my ex and not sure I would want his blood....lol
Dark Greeting's,
I'm not a picky eater, and what is eaten by the doner makes the blood taste different.I'm O neg..
Dark Blessing's,
KA
I have to say I go with O+, it's the universal blood type, anyone can receive it.
As a non blood drinker I honestly couldn't tell you. However it is interesting to read everyone's blood type preferences! It would make sense that they all taste different since each individual's blood type is well, different. lol.
I find it interesting so many claiming to be blood drinkers. My group always cautions to get medical testing...both the vampyre and the donor. The majority of the community do not drink blood and many do a combination of feeding styles. So its important with close contact since many develop close relationships and generally but not all prefer opposite sex should all be tested.
There are a few who use a syringe and either take it out and put in a glass or other container and drink it immediately or they inject if they have trained in phlebotomy and have typed the blood for a match. One should never attempt this without training and one should be careful where they extract the blood and Never, never bite.
I would think that the type wasn't the issue of taste. Wouldn't you think the food that is consumed by the donor, or victim (snicker) would affect the taste? I think so!
first i want to say that if you are going to be injestion blood that you have the person tested for any blood bornand my donnor gets tested every 3 months and i know there complete history diseases. as for the type that is mostly up to the vamoire i personally like O+
Well living with a few vamps here and there, I learned that super spicy foods and alcohol change the flavor to bitter. Personally, it doesn't matter about the type but the taste.
Yes i believe its not the type as much as the person you drink from.
i have no preference as far as type, but i do think it has a lot to do with the person's energy and eating habits
so it is more of an energy or aura of the person rather than the type??
Actually it depends on how a person lives there life .. There food intake has alot to do with how all bodily fluids taste.. Also depends on the taster.. how their taste buds react.. So there is more to it then just plain ol blood type ...
tast is up to the drinker some cant tast a diffrens others say they can only drink one type because of tast as for myself the only reason i like O- is because to me it has less of that metalic tast
I can't really say on this one...the only people I've ever drank from were completely and totally intimate with me. In these cases, there does not seem to be a difference...it's more intimate to me though than having sex itself or anything even close...thus, my opinion on this may not be the answer that you're looking for.
I dont mind as long as they ve not eaten garlic beforehand
I dont think real vampires can die from diseases cause they are immortal, but they will sure get a nasty tummy ach if they are not careful. LOL, I dont think they would have to worry about that cause of their regenerative powers.
Not that I have ever heard of.Certain foods does give the blood different tastes.
lol how is every ones blood type O- when its rare? just wondering....O+ for me thank u
I would imagine the taste of the blood would depend on the health of the supplier. Blood from someone who eats right, gets plenty of exersize, and doesn't use drugs, would be goodly oxygenated and taste fresh and potent. Whereas the blood of an obese, chain smoking, alcoholic, would taste kind of tainted.
i have a posotive blood type, but i perfer types that are not mine
blood type doesnt matter to me it all tastes the same warm and sweet but i dont have to go looking for it i have numerous ppl who are my doners they are my friends and family i know where they have been
