Like my dreams thread my Parallel Worlds thread was closed for length. I decided to open it up again for those who wish to continue posting on the topic. Here it is.

Ok I've started believing in the Parallel worlds and stuff. The reason is because I think when we see, hear, or sense things it's because our world is colliding with the parallel world. because I know that when I see or hear something I do. I'm just wondering what everyone else thinks?

Also...Deja vu. I believe we have it because we've done the thing we're doing when we have deja vu in a past life.

That could be what it does mean, but I find it kind of hard to believe that there is another universe parallel to our own that is exactly the same.

I do believe that there could be Parallel Worlds yet that they would be different in some sense.... such as more intellect, or more evil, just different from our own.

yeah, I feel that there is another (other Parallels to ours and that they are just different from ours. I mean we know that there is more Intelligence out there and there is evil and even powerful forces of all kinds. So, why not it be the Parallel of ours, makes sense to me that is. I try to be open minded that anything is possible.

What I mean when u see things is u get a glimpse into another world. But u only catch it out of the corner of ur eye. Same with hearing. And it is possible that's it good vs. evil. I started thinking about this when I read 2 series.

A glimpse into the spirit world or a flash we think is a ghost, maybe aparrell world that we seen through the fabric and caught a glimpse. yet a distortion in time more relavant. parrellel worlds to me do exist on a plane of not knowing. difference in time or moment in life

Hmm yes it does seem to be an answer to why we see or hear things that just don't seem to be there...

but to have Parallel Worlds they would have to be tons of them each different in there own way yes like good or evil smart, and dumb and so on...

well i agree that there are parallel worlds, but I don't think there colliding as much as creating a bridge between them, as for the dejavu, I have it but its not from a past life, I see things happen in dreams up to three years before they happen, This helps me from making some bad decisions.

I do believe in parallel universes I have several thoughts on them but basically that like has been previously said they are like ours just different in some aspect. As for dejavu being the connection between us and them I it is possible that the conscious here and the conscious 'you' from there (one of many) link momentarily as the you here experiences something that has already happened or a place the 'you' from there has already experienced or been too. For the most part though I find it unlikely since most dejavu deals with future events (unless these parallel universes are also at different points in time.
I think this actually raises more questions though.

I have always thought that everything happens for a reason,that certain things happen in ones life on purpose.That you
choose the path you take in life,to cross the street at that point in time or you stayed seated instead of standing.Like the TV show Sliders or the movie Back to the Furture 2.

There could be alternate universes out there,where you took other pathes differently then in this universe.What if those pathes made you a different person,a different outcome made your life different and in turn you became someone

i believe in parallel universes. Like where your standing or sitting right now, in the same universe( just in another time or dimension) some one could be standing right where you are and people could be in the room carrying on a full conversation and you wouldn't even know it. Almost like the movie lake house( for those of you've who have seen it , that might help you understand better)

i believe in parallel universes just because we dont no where our universe ends so past ours could be other universes that are the same or completly opposite good or evil ect ect for all we no we could be in an evil parallel universe and just not no it

de ja vu i feel happens when someone is on the right track and it is possible that there might be parallel worlds atleast some kind of different realm

sometimes it is from other lifes that we have done the same thing, but also from our dreams, part of our dreams becomes reality and we are just hit with "wow i did this before"

and as for the parralell (sp?) worlds, it could happen
like hearing music or someone talking when no one else hears it

I wouldn't call that Parallel worlds, so much as alternate planes of existence.
But Deja Vu isn't what we've done in a past life, but what we've done in this life, it just seems quite familiar to what we were experiencing in the here and now.

That's a good possibility.

Parallel worlds are not really all that much of a leap…the world of high energy physics has been “proving” them for the past couple of decades. Try looking up “graviton and parallel” in a simple search…start getting into the “shape” of gravity…if that makes any sense.

Not to belabor the point but some very good papers have been written with the conclusion “they exist” (no qualification)….BUT that we can't observe them because of a coupling phenomena….think of it as you can’t directly observe the back of your head with your eyes (no mirror)….SO, this is where the “scientist” need to talk with people who can commune (for lack of a better word) with other worlds….however, that day is a long way off I fear….the theoretical physicists don’t talk with the chemists unless forced too….so I’m pretty sure they are not going to be talking with someone who knows how to astrially project their consciousness…..go figure?

This is an interesting notion. I am curious to see where this topic will go. So I will add my two cents...

The notion of a parallel world i would venture to add that would be considerate as on the otherside of a gate. This gate would be the bridge between. In my research into ancient philosophies, and concepts, mostly relating around the constelation Ursa Major, this concept is expelified in the three-in-one idea as the gaurdians of the gate. However when the gate is crossed, then one enters into an underworld, an other world, after death. It is this world that is the parrallel being as the axiom "as above so below" if there is this world, then there must be a supernal realm.

So I would venture to say that it is a very interesting notion, and the opening of said gate, from my research can be done. However there are some condions which must be statisfied first. However, that being said, one reaches those conditions can traverse between the two.

As well as a friend, who has been able to shift between bodies on separate planes, Same soul, different life. It was interesting to study her resulting split personality, however, it was remarkably accurate.

i do feel that there is a possibility of such sub-worlds (realms of existence)that exist along with our and i think it is possible that on ocassion that they do cross onto ours in one way or another

I believe in it as well you know when a you are feeling fine and then all of sudden a shot of cold just shoots up your spine poeple say that someone just walked across your grave. And i have deja vu about ten times in my life.

I think what your saying is possible, what i was thinking was maybe we get deja vu from Astral projection into a parallel world and we see something, and we take it back with us and then when we see, hear or sence something it is because we were their while astral projecting...

This is a truly interesting subject for me as I have recently created a whole roleplay universe that revolves around alternate realities and bridges to them.

I will not post the link because that is not the point of this post.

The point is that I think in a way I do believe in the alternate realities and that we just no longer posses the powers to get there any more. The stories are the only clue as to where and how the bridges exsisted. All the old stories, the old wives tales, the urban legens. Even the stories from the Bible and other religious documents. Could it all be in the stories?

I also believe in parallel worlds. I believe that when I sleep or sometimes during meditation my mind travels there! I have seen many different things of these worlds. I have not yet begun to explore all aspects to them but in the future I believe it will be possible for me.

Yes there is parallel worlds/other dimensions. Top sciencetist are studing this,so there is something to it. A world were you did something different then here. Makes you wonder what if...

Infinite simultaneous universes are becoming a common accepted theory among the scientific community. Some are even beginning to ascribe an intelligence behind it all.

I saw this bloke from a parallel universe the other day. No, It's true an' all, it's true. He is invisible but I saw him and I don't know how! I don't know how I saw him, but I saw him! I was going along the street and I saw this bloke from a parallel universe. Yeah, and he recognized, you know, another soul on his wavelength, and we nodded to each other.

I dk I haven't been able to completely believe it, it would definitely make sense though. especially with the whole sensing and feeling things that arent really there, and deja vu going with the past life, i believe that but yeah.

I am not sure that I believe in them, but it is a perfectly acceptable theory. I have never thought about parallel worlds being the cause for unexplainable stuff that we experience.

I believe there is an infinite number of parallel worlds. Some of these would be virtually indistinguishable from ours with very minute differences while they would then range to the exact opposite of ours. Each world would represent every possible outcome of every decision everyone and everything makes. As far as deja vu I believe that is the result of a forgotten prophetic dream that has come true at which point you vaguely recall the dream.

a scientist told me that most of the time we just cruise along causality but then hiit a break point where we have a clear choise.either as people or whole societies and at this point reality breaks in two,where both versions of reality happend.so there is potentially millions of alternate versions of the world.ambrose bierce said that he could travell to alternate worlds.then he vanished and was never seen again.hes not the only one.

Parallel worlds aren't hard to believe, I've always thought similar beliefs.

I dont think de ja vu is from a past life, as I have de ja vu about a place, or a building, that wasn't there say 10 years ago

I like ur perspective on parallel worlds. I believe that somehow both our worlds have collided and that is what makes us so vulnerable to seeing things and hearing things... and maybe know whats happening throughout our lives and where were going. Maybe scientists or someone has figured out how to cross without dieing.. its possible if you believe. I think thats why spirits are so earth bound!!

I do believe there is a parallel world. It would explain all the strange ways that happen everyday.

The Deja Vu Feeling is always in place.

A parallel world would also explain viewings of ghosts and ufos. Maybe it just a small view of another world that is more advanced than ours.

I believe it is possible that there can be a parallel world beside of this one, think about a voice you sometimes hear calling your name, and you turn around and no one is there, or the feeling of being watched. This is really something to think about

I believe that blackholes could be the cause of parallel universe, because 90% of universe is missing. Astronomers beleive that the universe contains dark matter, but blackholes could be taking matter from this universe into another.
Einstein beleived that blackholes were portals to other dimensions.

I believe there is something like a parallel world out there. I feel sometimes I dream of the one I'm in.

I was reading a little something about something called the entanglement theory. The idea is that every time a particle or an atom makes contact with another one, they are eternally connected no matter the distance between them. I wonder if this can connect to your theory that our worlds are constructed by our universe colliding with others. The reason we can remember things would be because of the entanglement theory, because we're still connected to these parallel universes. I've also read about people discussing dreams as projections into parallel universes. "I dreamt that I was a butterfly, but am I a man who dreamt that I was a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming I am a man?"

THe universe is like an apt building. Just that some of us are lucky enough to enter from apt to apt.

Considering there are alternate dimensions (and I mean basic physics -- not the Twilight Zone), parallel universes can possibly exist. Why? Because time folds. Space folds. Both expand without definitive measure other than what has been already used. I see no reason why there can't imprints as a result. I've always been fascinated by this. I'm actually already writing something about it.

I absolutely think there is a chance of parallel worlds; I don't know the concept well enough to really delve into it, but Brian Greene's The Elegant Universe goes into the theory of super strings and parallel universes. If such things can be theoretically postulated in scientific terms and accepted among the scientific community... why not? (I say this being a scientist myself).

As to what the function of a parallel world would be... I have no idea! But it's certainly an awesome concept.

Deja Vu is the response of the mind to precognition or foresight... so you think you've been here before when in fact you perceived the same thing in advance of recognition... parallel worlds and realms... the spirit world overlaid on reality... is well documented...

Something like that. But more-so the case I have delt with was where it was the same individual but the soul was polar opposite. It was the same energy but how it was used was opposite.

The descriptions of the worlds were different, where the other was more bloody then this one, where it was one of sadism and war *at least for the individual from it* and this world a world of peace in comparison.

It was a very interesting experience, because the energy signature of the indivual drastically changed when she switched back and forth. However it was that her own body could only support one of her (selves) and caused a rift in the area around her.

But as for one soul controling many lives, yes I have also had the pleasure of observing this occurance also. It was interesting in that it was the same base current, almost like the female friend I mentioned above, however it didn't have the pole shifts as she did, but was the same and did indeed cause some interesting energy currents when it colided into one being.

The thing pulled off its existance from different time streams. You kill one, and it would still be around and cross back into this one. It was of spiritual origin however instead of human, but it was something like interesting.

Lol...I'm told that a lot. When we space out where do we go? Who knows. lol. And anyways...I think also that parallel worlds r possible because the Universe expands beyond our knowing. So there could be mutliple worlds semi-like ours. Therefore somehow we could get a glimpse into that world.

Seeing the parallel world is an every day occurance. As you stare into the mirror, like Alice through the looking glass. Or within your dreams, giving a theory like that of where dreams do come from if not from your own mind than from where?

Looking at reflections, whether it be through mirrors, or water...It is all the same form of parallel either dimension or universe. If not for the parallel, where would the religionous believers go after they turn to dust...

Yes. But I wonder how far these parallel worlds are from us. I mean there are multiple galaxies and worlds out there that our government hasn't yet discovered or maybe they have and they just don't want to tell us. I actually had a conversation like this with my mom just the other day. What if there is another earth out there basically just like our own. Mom wonders if the government knows if some of the people in our world are from another world.

Yes. I agree that the government is bound to know more than they let on. I mean they wouldn't want us knowing everything. They want to feel special. And I'm the same way when I space out. I mean I'll look around but have a blank stare. Sometimes I space out and when I come to I can't remember what I was thinking. A reply on the comment toward the government and the parallel,

The government may be a powerful organization, but they are not that powerful, they say classified for the simple excuse that they have nothing. If they say info is classified, it basically means, they have no paperwork to back up their theories.

TV and movies cloud the judgement of the individual, and that is all they wish to do. If you truly wish to find the parallel, study if you will on the quantum theories.

I do believe in parallel worlds, and you will find through out history there belief was always strong. The best I can think of off the top of my head is the fae folk.

There was a widely held belief that if you encountered fairies partying and you joined them that you would be transported to their world and would be there for years, even though it may have been only for an hour.

I always felt that even though this is a folk tale, that it showed a belief in parallel worlds.

Of course they are different. They are the many personalities of ourselves. When we act a certain way our other parallel being acts a lil' different.

I believe in parrelel worlds because of the fact that when I have gone astral there are things that I see without interfering so it doesnt change the outcome. I believe that changing the outcome of another world may affect this one.

It's a glitch that happens. It's not a "crash". It's a glimpse into another world. Parallel doesn't mean they run along with each other without touching as it does in Math. We can be connected to another world BUT there is a barrier that seperates to 2 worlds from each other. You can cross over to the world. I know it's probly confusing but quit thinking about what you learned in Math that parallel means NEVER colliding.

I believe in parallel worlds. But they are most definitely going to be different. I mostly believe in a world very similar to the one we are in now, but full of evil and darkness and demons. Who knows, in this parallel world, we may be the demons. lol

As for deja vu, I believe that its our souls remembrance of a very similar situation it had experienced in a past life.

I believe that parallel universes and alternate realities exist and that they do on occasion cross, just as time crosses. Like they are layered on top of each other.

I think you want to believe in something paranormal because you don't want to have anything to do with what is considered politically and narmally acceptable because everyone is so disilliusioned abotu being "different." The truth about sight, taste, touch, sound, and smell is in science. Vibrations cause sound, Nerve receptors cause touch when we touch something solid, etc etc. Deja vu is something that I can't explain through science. Deja vu MIGHT be something paranormal or something mystical, but Parallel worlds are something impractical, and something only the foolhardy believe in.

You have a point ... but a belief is just that a belief.

You believe that they do not exist, but there is nothing to prove or disprove them.

Not too long ago, everyone believed the world was flat, then it was proved otherwise.

I will concede that, but the argument that I have nothing to prove nor disprove the belief that parallel worlds do not exist and that there is nothing to prove nor disprove that they do in fact exist is in essence the same argument as who came first, the chicken of the egg? Neither side can win the argument without physical proof, because (and I quote this from another forums post) "faith is blind." If we have faith in what we believe in, we will both argue until we turn blue in the face. So until further information is to be had, we will have to agree to disagree on this subject (as so many arguments often end).

i do believe they exsist but i have never really been to one well maybe once or twice when i astroprojected before i have also visited someones dream before which is kinda strange but fun sometimes i just havent done it in awhile.

i think our dreams allow us to travel to parallel places. i'm also curious to see if anyone has called a dragon or two; supposedly, they say that dragons left our world to go live in-between, and only appear in our world when called now.

Every parent say's their child is in their own world. I have a world of my own that I still visit to this day.

Of course there are different worlds we can go into. It is not so hard to figure.

I don't know if there is such a thing or not, but i do know that i went to a cemetery recently and when i went back the hill was not there the second time like it was the first time... so that was strange.....

I have just seen a scientific explanation of the possibilities of parallel universe. It was quite fascinating, but alittle confusing. I am still learning.

I honestly think deja vu is more a neuron error where input hits an output path and it feels like it's something we've seen before because of it...

... just my two cents...
