Most people that think vampires, think hollywood vampires. A real vamp. Is unique and has a different , but special heart to offer. I believe we can love and see views, and express ourselves in ways most can't seem to understand. What are your feelings and views on this?

i think as any being vampires have emotions and think it's all up to the vampire personally and what kind of experiences they ha as to how they love and feel.

Those affected by vampirism, with a need for external energy to sustain them, are only human.

We think, bleed, love, hate, and die just like any other human. We are no different than anyone else.

I feel that A vampire can have as many emotions and feelings as the next. It depends on how they themselves are to me some can be totally unemotional and without feelings. yet some are more in tune then even the Norm sooo it is the individual I feel and how they choose to be.

I think that it's down to personality etc how a vampire expresses their emotions, just like with any creature I guess, no different and nothing special even the most simple of animals are capable of love

I agree, it depends on the idividual, not whether a person is a vampire or not.

Every individual experiences emotions, some are just better at hiding them than others. But I agree with the others, it also depends on the person.

Though I cannot speak for all vampires, for we are all unique, many of us have expressed a heighten awareness; and a desire to develop our -gifts. Many have also expressed that their senses are more keen as well. I know that is true for me and for many others I have meet on VR.

yes it does, usally very misunderstood, and alone. A heart very pure, and patient.

Personally from my experience and those of my close friends. We are blessed or cursed whatever word u choose.With the ability to feel emotions more intensly than normal people.
Thus love we feel is 10 fold , and pain and all the other emotions the same.So while it is a gift, also can be a curse.

I find that if anything the normal feelings and capacity to feel and express them may in fact be somewhat intensified. The idea of a vampire beig a creature without a soul is a thing of faction, and seems to ahve gone out of fashion since Buffy... *teehee*

I think a vampire heart is very dark, but can be emotional just like other people and sensual.

a vampire heart is just easier enclin to feel certain emotions and the vibes of its environement, a vampire heart is sensitive and reacts with passion, sometimes it should wait before reacting, still it does react with all it feels and all it has in it.

A vampire heart is the same as anyone else's heart - it feels the same and is effected the same depending on the person.

Everyone has the same emotions as the next person. They love, feel, hunger, hate, and sympathize just as any other person would.

We are who we make ourselves to be. If we wish not to feel or love, that's our prerogative. But of course there are those who can love, feel and be expressive. Its all about who you are, not what.

Of course a vampire has a heart. Look at all the wonderful poetry on VR. Could this be done by entities without a heart? I don't think so.

I believe that vampires are like humans. We have feelings and emotions on both sides. There are many types of humans and vampires so the only way to judge one is to interact with one and not to judge the race by one

I believe that vampires see things in different ways than humans because we have different thought patterns. I mean, what normal human focuses daily on feeding blood or prana? lol

Verry true, I often feel lonely living in a small town (Bristol Tennessee) that is populated with much resistance* agains our kind...there are verry few of us here, and those who are, are outcasts' from the rest of the town

I believe that their are people out their that are heartless, that does not make them bad people they just do not care, and to a point i consider myself to be heartless, not about everything but their are i lot of things i do not care about...

INDIVIDUALITY. We all have some characteristics that are similar, but the way we live, breath, and think makes all of us unique. We are able to feel like everyone else, the way act upon those feeling is what sets us apart.

I find happyness from seeing torture and pain...even envolving my family, I feel I have no heart, or like I should care...But verry few things hurt me and sometimes it scares me...Ive done things that most people would consider sick...all this, does that make me heartless?

There is just as wide a range of emotion in those considered to be vampires as there is in those "regular" humans. We are not now, nor have we as living beings, ever had one set of thoughts, beliefs, or actions, let alone emotions. It is a very individualized concept.

To buy into the Hollywood stereotype is to condemn oneself to ignorance.

I thought I should clarify a little.

Even though we may share the same emotions, and universally do, they are all exhibited to varying ranges and depths. Every person deals with life differently.

This is my opinion(which every1 is entitled to). Vampires are exactly like mortals. We just feed off of blood of phys energy. We can go out in public during daylight but some of us prefer night over day. You can barely tell us apart from mortals except for the way we act and live.

Ah, isn't that what makes us differ. That our senses allow us deeper connections with the currents of life, and emotion?

I feel that being vampire means that not only are all our senses heightened, but so is our love for the normal.

Modern vampires like some of us here, don't differ much from humans, of course... we love, hate, and feel all the human emotions...

Maybe the reason a vampire can love and feel diffrent is because, vampires have more of an open mind to lots of things, that are not normal and they see both sides of the coin when they do...

I think that we are all alike although, sometimes if your drained you can't be upbeat and etc and their is no real big difference except that maybe we have a connection with our souls continiously going through cycles more so than others?? Maybe, maybe not.

But I wouldn't go as far as to say that we're more romantic than others and whatnot.

Because everybody is certain way, moreso than others, and less.

like i mentioned before i feel that we can love just as much as anyone else and that how we love is purely on a personal level and not of what we are although i do find it nicer if two that love eachother are from the same culture without differences that would get in the way of such emotions.

Even a Vampire heart can be ripped to shreds by someone they care about so yes I believe we have hearts.

Why would vampires be any different? Doesn't make sense.
Not saying that they exist, but I don't see why they wouldn't have the same emotions like anyone else.

I would agree that living vampires are human and have the same emotions therefore. The one difference I would say about living vampires is that a lot (not all) tend to be more open minded to different ideas and how they may affect emotions.

HollyWood has made Vampires a believable blood drinking creature but there are different kinds of vamps. History along with myths and legends have given us so much that we intend to label some as vamps to quickly but there are people with Vampire like traits. Mainly it comes down to the unexplain that becomes the heart of stories of vampires along with Ghost.

I think that it would vary per individual. But I think that the longer that you live the less you tend would tend to care about others that are not close to you.

I believe vampires can love... just the longer a vampire has lived the more lovers have died or hurt them... the more difficult it becomes for the vampire to love again

I agree…vampires can feel. Just as mortals can feel. It just differs as to how much they feel. You can either spend the rest of your eternity loving lover after lover or you could be like me close your heart and watch all things pass by like a leaf on the chilled autumn winds.

Vampires come in all different shapes and sizes...just like humans. They will react differently in regards to their emotions...just like humans. Just because someone is a vampire doesn't mean that they love more...just as it doesn't mean that they hate more.

It's more to a Vampire than just what is autmatically thought about us. Drinking blood, garlic, silver, crosses, etc. Those are just myths surrounding our culture. To achieve full Vampire status. You have to undergo a special dark ritual. And sacrifice your soul to achieve this special status.

The vampire hearts are the most passionate ones.They link to the art and to the romantic art(because they are extreme): sometimes beat with more power then every other creature... sometimes they are cold like Death itself.

I think just as any individual race or society the Vampire is unique and special in its own right. And as far as projecting or feeling emotion, the Vampire feels emotions as none other can because it is an individual being apart from any other species.

Vampires are unique, this is true. I believe they are capable of love. Some just choose not to, and choose to follow the actions of there bodies. To become cold and uncaring.

Well... some people refer to vampires as psychic vampires, blood vampires, and others tend to make a whore out of that word. In my personal experience I have identified myself with both kinds of generalized vampire lifestyle. On the blood vampire experience, I have shared my blood with a girlfriend i had. We used to bite each others lips until they bleed, and then lick the blood. Nothing too bizzare, only like a few milimeters. On the psychic vampire experience I have identified myself with something like the energy-sucking of other people until they are left misteriously tired and sleepy. Im not sure how effective this has been though... lol... mmmm i believe that only one or two people have bought the story... never been good at the psychic vampire thing anyways... so i must admit that i identify myself more with the ¨blood vampire¨ stereotype.

Am i a vampire? There must be a definition of what is a vampire. Fact is that we are not small winged-animals that sleep in trees and such. We are NOT those vampires. Those are small animals that we see... they are not humans like us. So.... if we are not the vampire-animal, then what is a vampire??? So, this is the point where pretty much anybody can have their own definition of a vampire.

Some of the nicest associations with the vampire image for me personally have been a very erotic, sensual, romantic, passionate, and sexual way of being. A very deep misterious personality, good and refined concepts of beauty and aesthetics, excellent taste in art, excellent conversationist, learned in plenty of things (hopefully erudite), very wise, introspective, etc... and a whole lot more of other qualities that for me make a very good example of a vampire heart.

Then there is also the old goth-vampire stereotype. It is true that not all vampires wear black. With time, the goth-vampire stereotyped subculture has grown many brances and some of them even ridiculous in my opinion. Pop-vampire, Christian-vampire, Satanist-vampire, Emo-vampire, Reggae-vampire, Jazz-vampire, etc... so... in the end... what do we got? A very wide mix of people identified with vampires that dress, act, and live in many different ways. All together but not mixed.
