Do you follow your own version of the Church of Satan, or the Joy of Satan ministries? Doing your own inquiries into hell and the abominations of the pit?

What makes you choose satanism over luciferianism? When working with the daemonic feminine current, AZ/Lillith do you also work with the Yoga forms meant to bring out those currents?

When working with satanic currents are you boosting your ego? or attempting to identify with the antinomian current and master yourself, through over coming your own personal demons?

Do you work alone? or with others? Do you work with the sacrifice devoting time/words to the service of your demons? Do you activly seek gain from using the Satanic current?

Are you doing it to rebel against god? Church or your parents?

Do you modify the black mass to suit your particular flavor of tastes? Have you become a reverend in the church of satan or universal life church in order to effectivly work the ceremonies of the judeo-christian faiths and corrupt them into something you deem better?

the Bible paved the way, reading it was enlightening and amusing. I have not paid to get a membership card because I do not want to. It would be against my religion to get a card for that reason.

While I think there are quite a few questions contained in the original post, the thread is valid, relevant and topical to this forum. I am re-opening the thread.

I chose this path because it is for me..I am a member of the Church ov Aperion and it is right for me..The Magister is also my Mentor..I still have some faith but darkness is inside me and i did not choose it for rebellion, i chose it cause it is the right path for me..Doesnt mean we do the evil horrible things that most ppl portray Satanists to be..Just a way of life some choose to follow

You should be able to pick up a copy from your local barnes and nobel, even if you have to special order it under a fake name. Its a good book.

Catalunah, that is about the 20th time I have heard reference to such things in my life. Each one a more horrifying copy to behold. One was a friend of mine his grandmother gave it to his wife before they got married, his wife and her friend burried the thing, and her friend dug it up and kept it.....so its floating around somewhere. Another woman is reputed to have one in california. I met an interesting fellow on a bus to louisiana, claims his is from the salem witch trials era, bound in flesh, written in blood. It would be lovely to see such a treasure.

It was quite interesting....the whole experiece, though I seem to always be one degree of separation or two from those bloody books, and its so agrivating.

Then what happens in my particular case of being able to write word for word the spells in that book without having to see it? When people who have seen it can say, thats in there, thats in there, thats in there, same words, form, functions....

i find that there are many aspects and beliefs of satanism and it's practitioners.. of course there is the aspect of satanist that the catholics/christians made which brings out fear to those that don't understand the religion and its belief system,then there is the magick aspect of satanism where the sould idea is much like being of a witch but with the more advanced darker side of magick suh as callings/opening up of the gates as well as other sorts of practices.
i fall into the last catagory which is i believe i am my own god and if i want soemthing done then i will make sure that i am the one wh gets it done i am a follower of the ways of anton lavey and aliester crowly i may not be a strict believer in such but i practice in such a mannerthat i am comfortable with spiritually as well as physically.
i feel that you cannot have satanism without it's aposing religions such as christianity and catholicisms..there always has to be a counter balance. i find that more people now days choose such a life and religion only to be cool and in that sense they are not being honest with themselves. point given i am merely saying there is not a wrong or write way but only of a personal preference.

are you all talking about the Satanic Bible? my Master sent me a copy, isnt sure which one but i enjoyed reading it and kinda felt stupid afterwards to see how things that we were taught to be good is in fact evil..To see how we were raised on beliefs that were false and still raising our kids on that belief..i am not saying it isnt true or at least a part but what i am saying is..it is our choice on how to be and who to follow now, if we choose too..

some satanists will do rituals, their altar is a naked woman. how awesome is that. sure beats the heck out of some of the crazy sacrificial altars in the bible (I.E. Leviticus Chapter 4). lots of blood, guts and smells. i wont get into specifics, very graphic stuff.

Understands that and as for my Church, He doesnt advertise either..But allows me to advertise if i chose to and i do..I was surprised at the things i have learned from reading and Master, which has opened my eyes to alot more..

My altar is kinda bare at the moment but since i am learning it is okay for now..I respect all Religions and doesnt try to cram nothing down anyone's throat..This is the way i chose to live my life now..

Depends on what form you are speaking of, there's two kinds of Satanism, and then there's the Luciferism which I think is bogus, but by the followers of Anton LeVay they actually have a church and is discrete about who joins. As to the reasons, ya must study into it to understand.

I work alone and practice for personal power. I chose the Laveyn path because it is closer to the real truth as I see it!
But make no mistake, just because I'm alone does'nt mean I don't follow the rules and set standards. I am just as much a satanist as any member of the CoS.
I prefer the secrecy for me and my wife, even though a few select family may be privy to our endevors, it is never for shock value or anger at God, besides, I'm God and being angery at ones self is stupid.

As for satanism by Levi, and whats its conceptually known as now thats not what pulls my interests these days.

Its Luciferianism, rather, working directly in the old Avestian tongue with Ahriman, Tiamat, the Nasu Druj, the 8 offspring of Ahriman, Sammael, and a few other antinomian currents. Which does yeild some interesting results.

That tends to happen with anyone, trying tell you about their path, to see if you would be interested, its a sad way to try and make friends, or get peons.

If it's right do it. But I do not agree with trying to force anyone to join if they dont want to. thats for any religion. as I debated to my religious education teacher in school.

I have friends that are Satanists. I respect them for their beliefs, and they respect me for mine. They never tried once to get me to join Satanism.

I am a Christian, and I have a few beliefs that go against the Bible.

i believe that no matter what ones religion is one should be firm in their beliefs and practicies and not try to hide them jsut because they are not the main type of religion..i can recall when i first joined up and would make satanist forums they would be closed right fast it is nice to see that now we as satanist can share our own personal thoughts with one another without having to be worried about being cencored.

I follow the Satanic Bible. I don't really belive in your demons and whatnot sounds kind of trivial to me. I am the only god; why would I need help from anything or anyone else?

If that is your belief then you must be strong in your convictions. So then if you need nothing else, do you not need your family, resources to sustain your flesh? Or can you indeed stop eating and never feel the pain of hunger, can you stop taking of drink in any fashion and survive with no thirst? If you can then a god indeed, if not, but another human like the rest of us.

I'm a Satanist and proud to be one.

It wasn't something i jumped into lightly, and did try other religions before settling on the left-hand path. When I became a Satanist it felt like the final piece of the puzzle had been fitted and it felt right and natural.

I am a LaVeyan Satanist and follow his teachings. If you read the Satanic Bible carefully you can see where Anton was coming from and how full of hypocrisy orthodox religions truly are.

I found LaVey's Satanic bible to be disappointing for the same reasons that I found Bellanger's Codex disappointing...

Rather than being a genuine new path or great insight into an authors spiritual journey (and perhaps path for others to follow), they both seemed like rejected semi-professional authors who found that they could sell more books and make more of a name for themselves by catering to a specific niche group that takes on a cult like acceptance of the author because they speak to a part of everyone that wants to be special.

LaVey in particular spent more of his book reacting to Christianity than speaking to his purpose or path. It was a 'sour grapes' childlike reaction to moral proslytization and while I (like him) disagree with anyone thinking they have the moral highground over someone else, I didn't think that this was the right way to react to it.

I'm not familiar with any known luciferian books but I'd be interested in reading them.
