i would like to know at what point in your life you understood you are a vampire and why?

How long does it take for a vampire to fully awaken?

It depends on the person and how the person is raised. Some people aren't necessarily awakened, some people just simply are vampyric.

To answer your question othis, It was last yr after my father died, I started to soul search, and I started to acept and appreciate what I am, during my awakening I found it was the the thirst that was the hardest.

I always knew I was different growing up,The kids teased me until I Bit the head off a chicken,Then they left me alone and started to spread rumors that I was a bloodsucking Vampire.....LOL...Kids!

I pretty much found out last year, and I accept it....Just going to be interesting after I have my kid....

I'm not any type of vamp but here's my take on it:
One might become obsessed with the acquisition of knowledge towards certain subjects like vampirism. I believe that is due to the dormant knowledge that is normally suppressed within the Genetic make-up of the individual, also called the “physic inheritance”. This ancient knowledge pushes it way to the cognitive root of the individual, in doing so the individual has an overwhelming impulse to understand things they would normally overlook. Which in turn awakening's them.

ever since i was akid i realized there was something wrong with me. I was different i burnt without barely being touched by the sun. When i got hurt and bled id like the blood without thinking it made me feel better... more energetic a childhod friendskinned their knee i with out thinking bent down and licked it up... thats how i became an out cast a freek. Sensitivity to sunlight or U.V.lighting (Skin,Eyes) This sensitivity does not prevent them from being in sunlight, though many report susceptibility to sunburn/sunstroke.
Increased sensory acuteness (Hieghtened senses),things can suddenly seem too loud, or too bright
Sensitivity to jewelry(Maybe do to certain metals)
Increased healing abilities
Possibly lengthened lifespan.

Depression may set in after you begin to realize what you truly are,
A being who has a need to feed on the blood or energy of others in order to remain alive or to maintain a state of good health.A vampire goes through much on a personal level. The physical and mental changes,the hardships, depressions, the solitude, the pains and sicknesses, the maddening thirst, and the day-to-day struggle.
There are a few advantages to becoming a vampire. Such as a better immune system, possibly greater strength or a faster speed and possibly lengthened lifespan.

I have known all my life to answer the question of the thread..

I knew what I was when I was 10, but that's because my dad taught me.
I didn't quite understand at first, but then it started to explain a lot of things to me.
It makes more sense to be awakened, you know?

I started to understand i was a Vampire when i had unatural powers running out of my body that many people can feel, and after that everyone just decided to call me by the name of Victorio The Vampiric God...

I know a lot about vampires simply because I know alot of real vampires, and werewolves.

Here is what I know:

But they can go out into sun light. But after about 10 hours the sun light starts to bother them, or at least burn the very slightly. Garlic does affevt them but it usuall takes awhile. Salt dosen't affect them. Fire does but it would take a very very long time for it to affect them. And they also have a likeing to fire.They usually stay up at night till around 11 O'clock to around 3 O'clock in the morning. Some times some of them will stay up for several days in a row. But they have no choice but to go outside during the day so they can earn money, to pay billls, and to live lives that are close to normal as they can.

They don't exactly live forever, but they do live longer than most people.They can die in a way. But it usually is very hard to kill them. They also have rules that they have to follow as well. They can't turn people into vampires. Well ok a few can but they have to be one of the strogest. They feed, but thy do it to people that are asleep. If they bite you, you will not become a vampire at all. But you will lose a lot of blood.

Yes werewolves do extsis as well, but they to have rules.

Hmm, I remember way back then...heheh...my first taste of blood actully...i was about 7...I had to learn more...so I studdied and so on untill I learned about the vampires and Werewolfs...

There are no pat answers about awakenings. Some are more or less awakened from birth but realize there is something different about them. An awakening isn't tagging oneself with the name vampire it is being aware of a different nature. Some have the big pubescent awakening and others do not. It varies from person to person.

While I do not consider myself a vampire, or a Werewolf, I do feel that at times I have characteristics, personality wise, of the two. So, I guess my answer would be I have never truely had an awakening because I am not a vampire.

how do you know we are not real? people like you with closed minds are the reason we stay to our selves, your lack of understanding of what a true vampyre is your prob. if you are thinking of the movie vamp then no but real life living vampyres yes they are real.

Most people misread these posts. It's a knee jerk reaction to say "vampires" aren't real, don't exist or what have you. Take it easy on those people. Try explaining to them what exactly it is that makes you call yourself a vampyre. It's the same when an athiest tells a devout christian that god doesn't exist. If you can get them to open their minds, even if only for a few minutes you can then explain the things that make you believe to the contrary.
If they piss you off they have the power. Don't empower them, ignore them.

So to answer the question: I got a letter in the mail from the Vampire Headquarters. It read "this letter is to inform you that from now on you are a Vampire." So there you have it. ;)

As I told you before, little one, we're not here to try to change your opinions, but we do ask that you respect ours. We would respect yours, if you'd leave your "holier than thou" attitude at home, or at least reserved it for your journaling. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, you just need to learn to be nice about it.

As for the actual thread post, I just realized that I have yet to answer the question properly! My deepest appologies. The turning process started, for me, back on October 1, 2007. Actually, I'm pretty sure it started a few days before that, but I didn't take notice of it till October 1st. It was subtle little changes here and there like sun+skin=ouch (not always, but when it hit, OUCH!!), too much light gave me horribe headaches, and my hunger was on the rise, but nothing I ate or drank satisfied it.

Now, a few months later, my 'symptoms' are more pronounced, but I haven't fully awakened yet. I can't leave the house without my sunglasses (unless it's an overcast day, and even then, it's florida, so not a good idea...) I'm seeing shadows, and God do they love toying with me. *sighs* My physical strength is on the rise (slowly, perhaps, but surely), along with a whole bunch of other tidbits.

Its very easy to laugh at others ..but way harder to have an open mind towards others.....
We could also go by oh well we will laugh at you...This is your view tht vampyres dont exist ...but to laugh is hardly an arguement for bein right...

YOU really should not talk in my house I have a college Professor and he is a vampyre the problem with you is you assume that when one says he or she is a vampyre/ vampire they they thinking them selves immortals or the movie type vampire no,what we are saying is we don't live forever we don't shape shift or sleep in a fucking box ok well some do but thats what they like to do. but we do drink BLOOD and feed off of energy! and for one knocking some ones IQ I see you to need to learn to spell

Ok well let me say this, this is all me, from myself and what I understand of feeding and the ways I myself feed. I want you all to understand by no means am I am saying that these are the only ways to feed.
Feeding for some is a need and for others it is sexual. There are those to that it is a personal gift of oneself. Some will feed from more than one person.


1. Psychic Vampyre (One who feeds off of Ki, Chi or Life Force)

There are many ways to feed this way. Like Clubs, Party's and get togethers. This can also be dangerous for the un-awakened newly awakened (Fledglings) because they can be feeding unconsciously or subconsciously and they can pull in to much. Why this is dangerous well I look at it like this. The body is like a battery if you use too much of it's energy it will die well think of the heart of the body as that battery you take to much energy it will not have enough energy to pump the life's blood. The more experienced Vampyre can take just as much as he or she needs to get by. Know that when you feed this way you create a link between the both of you. If you take to much they start to pull some of your energy in thus making a new Vampyre.


2. Drama Vampyre (One who feeds off of drama)

these are the ones who seek out conflict and draw in the negative energy from the bad situation. These are the ones who like fighting causing trouble and fear.

3. Blood Drinkers (Ones who feed off of blood do to need, want or sexual drive)

this is the most powerful and personal way we feed. This is done with the most trust between two partners. Know that this is also very dangerous because of the many blood born sicknesses. For this reason one must always screen all there donors.

4. Sexual Vampyre (One who feeds from sexual energy)

This too is a very personal and powerful way to feed because of the bond it creates you feed two ways from sexual feeding Psy and Emotional energy. Use protection you can get s.t.d’s if you don't.
That is why you should always always screen your Donors.

I am sure there are many other ways to feed but these are some of the ways I feed as well as most in my house. Please add your input so that we can all share in this and learn about who and what we are.

What Is A Real Vampyre?


A real Vampyre is an energy feeder with varying levels of psychic and empathic abilities which allow for manipulation of and the taking and giving of the life force energy.

A Vampyre comes into being showing varying signs of energy deficiency with usually a slow awareness of psychic ability. There is a significant interest in energy feeding such as at musical shows, with a lover, and/or an interest in the energy of blood, although the latter is far less common.

This self-awareness usually begins in adolescence or early adulthood and generally increases over time gradually to adulthood, but there are some signs in some at younger ages.

A Vampyre begins to see the energy fields and auras of people and easily learns to manipulate emotional and other psychic energies for necessary gain. Thru a heightened sensual ability they feel the emotions and energy of other people and can thus tap this resource for gain in energy needs.

Being more sensitive to all types of energy allows the Vampyre to easily sense emotions and thoughts of those near. Those who are empathic carry this further with ease.

Vampyres normally have no difficulty with the sunlight of day, except for the need of sunglasses to shield sensitive eyes and the need to protect from sunburn on exposed skin. This is generally true as vampyres are usually more sensitive to all forms of energy, with the ability to sense energy comes the need to shield oneself from excess energy. This is a reality most deal with and learn to do easily when around excess energy sources such as the sun and that of other people.

We have a natural tendency to reach out to others like us and learn about the diversity of others. There are many groups, clans, households and families that exist to lend support and share of the knowledge and experience of this life.

We also desire as a group to correct the misconceptions that society and the media have about us. We are not the blood-sucking killers that the film industry would have us all believe. We want to dispel these myths and communicate the truth about our Vampyrism.

For too long have we had to hide ourselves from those psychotic nuts who would seek us harm because of too many Vampyre films made with Vampyre hunters and "stakes". We will live among all humans and coexist in the society around us, while teaching those with open minds about the truth of Vampyrism and taking the risk of ridicule and harm.

History has taught us and others about the mass murder and violence that has been made against so many by the human kind. Normal humans have proven themselves to be the best at killing and torturing their fellow kind. No other living thing does it like the human species. So we walk in a world being blown up around us seeing this energy unlike any other. The film industry and media portray us as monsters and yet who really are the monsters of the world? The mass murderers that are all around us answer this.

We have a high regard of life, although we feed off of the energy of others, we do not harm others or cause pain and suffering. Those that do cannot call themselves true vampyres. As those with empathic abilities, we feel the emotions of others including pain and suffering.

We have gone thru this world hated and feared, and misunderstood. We desire to change this and dispel these attitudes while being able to be ourselves and not persecuted. While we are quite different in our abilities and needs, we also believe that are souls are true and carry forth what we are.

Where so many believe that one can just be "embraced" or "turned" or "made" into a Vampyre, we know that we have inherent needs and abilities that come from within, that is who we are, not what we chose to be. We all learn many things from our environments, but we as vampyres know that what we have is within ourselves and in our souls. It is carried on thru the generations.

We as vampyres know that the normal human has left very little untouched on this world. There are no places for us to be left alone, so we will be in that community in that city and in that state. We are becoming more organized and united for this moment is our time to become known and dispel the misconceptions about us.

We have become more open in such forums as computer websites and in our neighborhoods. This is our risk, but we will see it thru for we want others to know about the true Vampyre.

i have to say that the term vampire has been distorted and used incorrectly too, i think there should be another name for blood drinkers and energy users, and that vampire is used for mythical creatures. kinda like the terms angel and demon.

So if i do acted demonic or angelic would i be considered a demon or an angel? should i use that term in describing me? i think not, thats why i feel the term vampire is misused in naming a group of people who have characteristics of such creatures.

well i really think i said it best in my last post. but for this awakening thing. it just is silly to me, i have asked those who cliam to be awakened vampires to show me what they do and i have had no one show me, i even volunteer to have my energy used. if someone can drain my energy i would be happy cause i have entirely too much lol

That's not correct, NM. Children respond to their own name at a very young age. And they may not know exactly what it is, but they still recognize that it's not within the norm. They act differently around the supernatural than they do regularly. I've witnessed it.

They recognize, but don't know its theres. A child may be in tune with the supernatural but doesn't know anything about it. It probably will just think its a new playmate.

I was awakened by my mentor some years ago..and it was he who recognized what I was on the verge of.
When I was very young, like so many, I alway had that feeling of being different and just not feeling I fit in anywhere.Only the darkness felt normal and I was more alive and energic at night.
Constantly upon reaching my teen years(which this is a common time for most to learn of this, as with many things happening to a teen at this time)
I heard a calling, and then I had no idea why I was restless, and always felt like I had to go somewhere, but did not know where that way.And so just shurgged it off, until I met my mentor.
The evening the light bulb finally went off in my brain..it was like a mixture of relief( I am not crazy) excitement, stress, there were so many questions to be answered.
But mostly it was this warmth that cycled between myself and my mentor,all the shields were down.Like standing in a warm rain and having it pour over me.
And since then,it is a never ending journey of learning as much as I can about myself and others like me.

I honestly think that i'm in the misdt of mine... mainly just because of the seriouse mental changes and behavior changes (sorry for the horrid spelling) Some of it would be said to because of the job that i have and the things i've been through but the fact that since i was pregnant with my oldest daughter i found that its hard for me to sleep at night... that its harder for me to wake up during the day.... that i crave mental and spiritual stimulation.... Lights bother my eyes 100 times more than they ever have.... and I'm naturally olive tone skin which i never use to burn when out in the sun and since i got pregnant 5 years ago I burn like crazy now.... being out in the sun to much just causes more uncomfort and irritability and just plain wears me out. but i could be completely wrong

I am still "awakening", but i have always been different.

The word "vampire" is loosely thrown around, I honestly believe the good majority of people using the word in a very serious manner are psychotic.
However, I do believe in real vampires, I just will never take anybody's word for it.
To continue would be irrelevant to the conversation but, I am not a vampire, thus haven't been awakened.
