When using any tool as like a crystal ball tarot cards or any divination tool should they all be covered and kept up,? I have a wandi leave out on my altar, I dont see any harm in leaving it out but if touched will it have to be recharged again and lose its energyies , ? Just wondering

i have friends that are into wicca and have alters but when it comes come to there wands they put it somewhere where no one can touch it

I have a altar in a room noone goes into.

I have a pure crystal wand...and one of amethst and gold entwined with a crystal at the tip.

I keep the area clean where my altar sits and the full moon is able every month to recharge the altar.

Your handling your items on your altar when cleaning will put your energy back into them.

Of course you could lay a black silk material over your latar to keep pieces from becoming disturbed.

if the altar is in the open for all to see it is in you very best interest to make sure all tools are protected and covered because you unknowningly can use then after someone has snooped and went while you were not looking and touched your stuff...

I have a very narrow shelf that my want sits on, behing all my boxes of crystals an things. This way no one can see it or touch it.

I don't generally like people touching my things, but if I know they are going to do it and I know they have something positive...as long as I'm standing there they can look.

I am also one who keeps my altar and other tools, herbs etc away from prying eyes. Noone enters the room but me.

I always cleanse my tools when using it. my wand is made of elder and stuffed with diffrent herbs etc.

As said before, if noone else is around, then there is no harm in leaving them on your altar.

When you use anything energy is moved transfered or released so I would say yes

the wand is a extension of your power hand what comes through you comes out the end of your wand it should be charged and blessed be for use, and afterwards no one should touch it without your permission it can be contaminated with there energy which leads to wonky magic.

something like that is very personal -- and should be treated as such -- other than yourself it shouldn't be touched by anyone -- inless you're using it to touch,,,to direct your power ..
I would keep it put away -- at all times when not using it ..

I firmly believe that any tool used in casting should be put covered and put up. It keeps everything and ready for the next use and other energies that could have gone into that item by leaving out stays away from it.

Wrapping it or putting a black cloth over it isn't mandatory but keeping it out of others reach is what needs to be done. There is no telling what harm can come by using chaotic energy's.

yes SatansBride it shall have to be properly recharged/re-energized if it should happen to get handled by others ... it would loose potency in your uses after such an event ... i suggest coverage by a white or black cotton or silk ... depending on its purpose and your specialty of practice ...

You should do a spell of protection over all the objects of your altar.
It`s probably that the wand loosed some of it`s proprieties but also maybe not.It depends of many things.However try to keep your altar covered.Some of the objects could loose their charges even if they are hit by sunlight.

Your Wand is Sacred to you, and only you can harness its power. Therefore, only your hand should lay upon it!

I never thought of using one until I was at a Renaissance Faire and one just caught my eye. I mean it was literally glowing and a light beam through it onto me. It called out to me, so I have it and very precious to me.

I don't think anything like that should be exposed to the open, energies get transferred and whatnot...You should get a bag for it, so it will at least be covered.

I would no more leave a wand out than I would any other good tool or potential weapon.
Someone tampering with and tainting your wand could put a very bad twist on anything you attempt, or they just could indiscriminately wave it around in an off handed way and wreck havoc.

By all means do put it out of site unless recharging or in use.

I agree, just put it away so no one can see your wand. It is yours and yours alone. No one else should touch getting their energy all over it instead of your energy.

Be it individually wrapping each item, or a cloth over the alter, items need to be covered up.

I believe that all of your magic tools should be be very well protected from the outter influences, by being sacredly stored in a place of meaning and belief, in order not to lose their value by being disrespected by handeling them in a nonshalant way, with that losing their value, and power of belief, wich would of course make the magical objects less and less functional from the desired way.

i can imagine wanting to display it.. but i would say it should be covered.. thats only my opinion after looking online a bit for it and not having luck i would just think it would be best protected..

Alters are sacred places. It's not necessarily a bad thing that you leave your wand out on the alter but I would prefer to cover my tools, especially if the alter is out in the open. But if the alter is in more private quarters I see no harm in leaving it out.

I keep my Tarot cards and Wand in a special wood box with my insence,etc. I don't let anybody touch them .

I have a sacred place in the open and noone touches anything,they know better so with that it gets left uncovered

the energy's essence itself is always kept and move around, as it is by itself an element that can be trasnfer block, retreave or rejected.

I am very picky about my tools. I alone touch them. So of course I try not to leave them out where people could touch them. My wand I have a very special space for. I have a odd window in the bathroom.. it is sort of like a lil box of glass on two sides. I keep my wand in there so its exposed to the sun and moon all the time.

I would never leave my wand or any of my other tools of the trade out or uncovered. I would them to stay cleansed of all of energies.
